[ Right now it is a warm, comfortable feeling between them. It puts some of Van's nerves at ease for the time being He muses over the drink for a minute before deciding that it's not too bad. In the future he might drink tea. Right now his own is a strawberry lemonade. It's on the sweeter side and that suits him just fine, thank you. ]

Have you been out in the Wilde? You know there's a lot of "weird trouble" that people can get into.

[ Van doesn't know if he'd tell Sora if he gets into trouble though. Sora would needlessly worry and Vanitas? He still doesn't like to appear like he can't handle things. ]

But sure. We can go next month.

[oathkeeper]

Hm! One time I ate a piece of fruit out there and my tongue went completely numb.

[Sora... That's not something to be so chipper about.]

Aerith was there to help but it was really weird. Anything can happen in the Wilde.

[darkcharge]

You're lucky that a numb tongue was all you got out of that. Some people got sick.

[ The next time Sora forks a tomato or some of that salad? Vanitas is going to lean over and take a bite of that too. Because he can and because who is going to stop him? Sora? ]

Hmm. Not horrible I guess.

Must be the lucky fur--

[And then Vanitas is stealing one of his tomato bites and Sora immediately fusses about it. That's his tomato?! But he also watches the way Vanitas steals from his fork too. It's ... A thing.]

Hey, are we sharing my lunch too?

[darkcharge]

Hmm. Maybe.

[ And just like that? Vanitas snatches up Sora's chin, kind of half forcing the brat's mouth open. Then he takes a spoonful of his stew - a carrot and potato in there - and plops it into Sora's mouth.

No meat though. ]

[oathkeeper]

[It's quick but it's fast enough to make Sora take the bite with a yelp of surprise before he chuckles and wipes a bit at his chin. The dish is savoury and leaves Sora smacking his lips a bit.]

That's really good- Ahhh...! It makes me miss meat a little.

[Eating beef stew would be so delicious.]

What kind did you get anyway?

If you cook something called tofu right it can sometimes taste like meat. Or it can be used as a meat substitute.

[ Sounds like someone has been reading up on things, hmm? Maybe to help a certain Puca that might miss meat out? ]

Honestly I don't know. I just kind of pointed to something after I read the ingredients.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora's poking another small bite of fresh dressed greens and offering it to Vanitas now. They're feeding each other, this is the thing now apparently.]

Tofu? That sounds weird. Where did you learn about that?

[He leans forward a bit. Interesting...!!]

[darkcharge]

[ It is a date... Though Vanitas doesn't realize how this actually appears. Anyone walking by would think that the two are either really close brothers or that they are, in fact, simply enjoying togetherness.

So while Vanitas takes the offered bite of salad, he spoons out another bit of broth and veggie for Sora. Apparently they are going to keep sharing. ]

Where do you think? In books, Sora. I actually enjoy being in the library.

[ Researching things. Of course that might also give him away that he had been looking that up specifically? ]

[He munches appreciatively. Sora's growing more content about sharing all the food and drinks. It's kind of nice. He taps his bowl gently.]

But that doesn't sound like just any book you learnt that from. A cooking book? A vegetarian one?

[For him??]

[ In the end they do share quite a few things. A bond. A face. Birthdays and a bed from time to time. This sharing of food and drink doesn't seem like all that big of a deal. ]

Obviously a cook book, yes. Mira and I try out things from time to time.

[ Not... Confirming or denying his motivation might also be sitting next to him. Vanitas is trying to play it off as nothing while taking a chunk of meat from his stew. ]

[Vanitas is trying to act so cool about it, is he?]

I liked those blueberries muffins you made me. A lot.

[ He'll avoid answering that right away with another drink to his lemonade! ]

As well as you should. It's not like I'd give that away to just anyone.

[And it was all a gift to help Sora feel better about his newly acquired golden eyes. Sora looks down at his meal and then back up Vanitas with a warm smile on his lips. His bondmate has been doing a lot of things for him lately. He grateful.]

Thanks for everything lately, Vanitas.

[Even the concern and worry over Sora's new attraction to magic. Something tells him he's probably researching a lot about that at the library too.

But just to safe Vanitas from any further embarrassment...]

Just wanted to say that. Bet I could still beat you at cooking some things. Or I could show you too!

[ He can feel that over their bond. It makes Vanitas swell with warmth and that... That emotion. That soft thing that he's been feeling for a while between them. The one that makes Vanitas feel dizzy and light headed.

Sora can probably feel the slight panic before Vanitas shuts that down. Nope. No. Not entertaining thoughts thoughts right now. Just focus on Sora's words not emotions. ]

You are my bondmate.

[ But that's not the only reason. They both probably know this by now, just like they both knew it hadn't only been the magic the other night. ]

How would you even know how to cook...

[The same unsure warmth flickers between them and Sora quickly looks down but the smile on his lips is still there. It just brings back hazy memories of the other night when Sora has fallen for all that magic. Things left unsaid again which he's still unsure is a good thing or not.

He focuses on the question and lifts his gaze with more of a grin.]

A friend taught me a few things. Little Chef, when I was helping out a Uncle Scrooge's restaurant. I picked up a few things but I'm never gonna be as good as he was. But I think I'm okay at it on my own!

[He isn't as clumsy as he used to be at it. But he still has a hard time remembering everything.]

I have no idea who Scrooge is, Sora. [ Though he gets the idea. Restaurant. Got it. ] So you do have more skills than just whacking your Keyblade at things.

[ He teases, but there's no malice in it. Instead Vanitas takes a couple of more bites. He's mulling over what Sora had said. ]

There's no harm in showing me a few things, I guess.

[oathkeeper]

He's Donald's uncle. [He grins with a tilt of his head.] I'm good at a lot of things, okay?

[Sora starts on his salad again, savouring a piece of tomato.]

I'd like that, too. I can show you a few things. Like fruit cake?

[By all means Sora isn't the best cook out there. But he did learn a lot from the Little Chef. He's okay at it.]

[darkcharge]

[ Sora... Vanitas doesn't particularly care who the guy is. Those details really don't mean anything. However he just rolls his eyes as he also nibbles on his food. ]

...Fruit cake. That doesn't even sound good.

[ Is it a cake with fruit in it? A cake in the shape of a fruit? ]

But I won't say no.

[Hope Vanitas is prepared to get so much more random information about Sora and who he knows in the future.]

It does taste good! Really!

[He's glad Vanitas will give it a chance.]

[ As long as Sora is fine with not getting that sort of stuff in return. Vanitas doesn't have any details like that. ]

I'll take your word. For now.

[ Vanitas, on the other hand, is about finished. ]

What other plans did you have?

[Sora is nearly finished his meal too. His long rabbit ears swivel.]

Uh, wasn't there something you wanted to tell me about before? You know, when you freaked out on those messages?

[Tilting his head...]

You said you would?

[darkcharge]

[ He tsks. So much for Sora forgetting. ]

Of course my luck isn't that great.

[ Vanitas sighs, angrily glaring at the water. He's stalling for a few moments. Collecting his thoughts. Deciding if he's... Going to follow through or not. ]

I was looking to find some answers because I've been feeling weird. [ Geh. He can't even look at the brat. ] Got worse since the meteor shower. Chest too tight. Couldn't catch my breath. Has to be something wrong, I thought.

[ Part of him still thinks that it has to be bond-related. Though there's... Now a bigger part of him that thinks that, maybe, Lavi had been right? ]

It got brought up in conversation. A suggestion as to what the problem was came up and that's when I flipped out. Why? Because it's just not possible. It couldn't possibly be what was said. That's all there really is to it.

[oathkeeper]

[It's been inkling at his mind since then! But as Vanitas continues Sora feels this little pinch inside his chest and he swallows quickly. Of course, he's noticed that Vanitas has been feeling strange ever since the meteor shower and that Sora has been having some similar feels.

Maybe now is the time they really do properly talk about it. Sora wants to be brave even if his heart is starting to feel too funny and too quick.]

Erm, what did you talk about, then? Because I know you've been feeling like that. You know, since then.

[Sora pushes around his last tomato.]

And I think I've been feeling weird too.

[darkcharge]

I know you've been feeling funny too. That's why I figured I'd try to find something.

[ Because he really had thought that the state of his heart and how they bonded might have contributed. That's also what made Lavi's idea so impossible. Vanitas and Sora are experiencing similar emotions. So if Van is being accused of "falling in love" then it also means... That Sora...

Van huffs, growing a little hot. ]

We talked about some of the things that I had been feeling and experiencing. I figured "why not" since I wasn't really finding anything. That person is probably wrong anyway.
