[ It's a new world for him as well. However, Vanitas has oddly expressive facial features for someone who almost always speaks in such a flat tone. Perhaps that is yet another reason that he has preferred to cover his face. ]

It is, from what I've seen on other worlds. Doesn't always seem to apply here, though.

[ Because, yes, the complexity of Bonds. Though perhaps that is also partially a choice? ]

Not that I really want to or like sharing.

[ He gives Sora a rather pointed look at that. Vanitas has to share bond partners. There's no helping that. That doesn't mean he wants to share other things. ]

[Sora tucks his chin down with a laugh on his lips. Somehow he's not too surprised to hear Vanitas say he doesn't like sharing. So long as Vanitas gets along decently with his bondmates maybe everything will be okay?]

Yeah, there's a lot of people who are all together because of all their bonds and stuff!

[...!]

But you're my first bondmate. And it doesn't have to be like that.

[It can be just them.]

[ Vanitas narrows his eyes at Sora. What is he laughing about? What's so funny? ]

I don't want it to be like that. So now you know that much at least.

[It's nothing! Just typical Vanitas things he's chuckling at. He hopes Vanitas doesn't get too jealous. He's still close with his friends.

Sora quickly nods.]

Then it won't be! It'll just be you and me.

[darkcharge]

What will you tell your friends?

[ And give him a head's up so he can take off if they want to come for him... ]

[Gosh, isn't that a big question to look at. Sora frowns slightly and scratches his cheek with one finger.]

I guess I'll just tell them the truth. I don't know what they'll say. [Sora shrugs.] I'm sure they'll be fine with it! Bet Riku will tease me until the cows come home, though.

[Sora's happy, that's the important part, right?]

[ Which makes him reach over with his one free hand and tug on Sora's ear a little. Sora is naive. Vanitas doesn't think it will go over that well. Then again, he is something of a pessimist, right? ]

Just tell me if I should make myself scarce.

[oathkeeper]

Ouch-

[Sora's head tilts that way with the action. What! He believes in his friends! He thinks they'll be happy to know he's got something he likes so much! Happy! and casually forget how overprotective riku can be]

What! Hey, it's not gonna change how I feel no matter what they say. But, okay.

[darkcharge]

Why ouch? You were really into it the other night...

[ Just saying, Sora. Van had tugged on both ears pretty good and had received a... Favorable response. ]

Besides it's not you I would be making myself scarce from.

[ Sora just doesn't understand how valued he is to some people... Nor is he probably thinking about the fact that he's going to be talking about Vanitas. People aren'g going to be thrilled. ]

[Sora blushes.]

That was different- There was a lot of, uh...

[Magic...! But he's mostly just being dramatic. Sora leans closer and nuzzles his nose against Vanitas' cheek.]

Just like everything else, it'll just take some time!

[darkcharge]

[ Take some time... Just like it is going to take some time for Vanitas to get used to Sora just nuzzling him like that. He blushes hotly again, feeling the stirrings of that warm feeling from earlier. It's starting to build up again. ]

Time and some death threats maybe.

[ He's tempted to cast a spell. Just to see how quickly Sora would react when hes like this. Van decides to go against it. It can wait. No reason to ruin this moment. ]

[It might be a good habit for Sora to pickup when Vanitas starts thinking about too many worrying things. Sora is in too much of a good mood to worry about bad things. And nuzzling seems to help.]

I've already made up my mind, so it'll be fine. Don't worry so much.

[Everyone should know how stubborn Sora is when he's made up his mind.]

[ Funny how the nuzzling, just the simple physical gesture of affection, can start to diffuse the negative emotions and thoughts that begin to swirl about in his head. In that sense, Sora is probably good for Vanitas in that way. Many ways, really, but this is really the one that they both kind of go back and forth on. ]

Doesn't mean they won't try to change it, even if it is futile.

[ And boy doesn't Vanitas know from experience! ]

[Sora's friends are just as stubborn as Sora can be... He knows this. He is wondering what Kairi and Riku will say, how these sorts of feelings might alter their own specific bonds with him. But he honestly isn't that worried. He loves his friends and he thinks they'll come around and be happy for him too. He'd be the same way for them!

All of this is so new to him, anyway. Sora's never had a- boyfriend? Is that what Vanitas is now? He's never had a real thing like this to look forward to. It's all exciting and he wants it. Even when Vanitas is still being fairly pessimistic about it.]

For now we'll just have to have as much fun as we want to, huh?

[You know, BEFORE the death threats start.]

[ Vanitas won't actually verbalize the whole "boyfriend" thing until it is spoken first. Sora isn't worried about how his friends are going to take this and Van? Well he doesn't particularly care. The only reason it matters at all to him is because he doesn't want to have to deal with that sort of problem.

That's not to say that Vanitas isn't excited. It's just it's so new and incomprehensible to him that this is something that's happening. Give him a day or two to come to terms, for reality to sink in. Yet it might still be novel to him for a while yet. ]

Fun? Like what?

[They seem to be more or less done with lunch so Sora tilts his head as he thinks about what else they could do for the day for fun. He's still full of some fluttery energy so he fidgets a little in his seat.]

You wanna go check out the docks and the water? Since we've still got all afternoon.

[Heck yes no classes.]

[ Of course Vanitas can feel that little fluttery emotion still lingering between their bond. It seems to jump back and forth just like the excitable little Puca that Sora is. Then again Sora's not good at sitting still himself is he? Van's gaze shifts to that, realizing that the other wants to get out and do something.

There is one little hiccup in this plan. Vanitas isn't sure how to bring it up. So he just shrugs and looks towards the docks themselves. ]

Wouldn't mind exploring the docks themselves.

[ Just not the water. ]

Alright, let's check them out then!

[Even as a growing puca he still seems to like the water. It reminds him a little of home even if the weather here is very much cooler than back home on the islands.

Sora is sure to make sure things are paid for before they pack up and head out towards the busy docks. Luckily they seem to be more than just docks, there are rows of little peddling stalls and such as well.]

One thing I really miss is really good seafood. [Sora remarks casually with a smile as they head towards the docks.]

[ There seems to be little shops, stores, or stalls everywhere. Sora seems to be enjoying himself so Vanitas is fine. At least things aren't overly crowded in this area. At least... Not for the time being. ]

Can you even eat seafood now?

[oathkeeper]

[Sora shakes his head.]

Nope, I don't think so. But it's nice to dream about it?

[He even sniffs the air. He can smell deliciously cooking octopus balls and sauce...]

Or maybe if I smell hard enough, that'll scratch the craving!

[HE INHALES...]

Maybe something with seafood flavoring then...

[ Vanitas, of course, hasn't tried any of these things. He doesn't know if he likes seafood or not. Perhaps, when Sora isn't around, that is something he should do. ]

Sniffing it won't help, Sora.

[oathkeeper]

[He's still sniffing the air with such animated determination. Sniff.]

But...! [Okay, maybe he was being stupid. He stops.] Alright, alright. Maybe it won't help. I wonder if we can find any other good treats around here?

[There are all sorts of things to check out. Including a stall that seems to be selling seashell trinkets and seasalt candies. Bingo.]

[darkcharge]

[ It's actually kind of amusing, watching Sora do that. Van snorts, squeezing the other's hand. No, it's not going to work. Yes, it is a little stupid but in the end it's just all in good fun. ]

Oh if there are any, you'll find them. Then yank us over in that direction.

[ Because that's what's going to happen. As soon as Sora catches sight of that stall up ahead? It's over. They're doomed. ]

[oathkeeper]

[Sidequest accomplished- He got Vanitas to snort with amusement. It's close to a laugh so he'll take it. He grins.

But just as predicted as soon as he spots this stall himself Sora tugs on Vanitas' hand and beelines right for it.]

Yep! Look, look at that one!

[darkcharge]

[ And, of course, Vanitas does little to stop him. Nothing to stop him really. Sora carries them both to the stall and Van's rolling his eyes.

No doubt that Sora is eyeing the sweets. Van gets it. He wants some of that too. Though his eyes roam over some of the jewelry... ]
