Yona
Sora grins happily at Yona as he adjusts the empty pack on his back.]
I think the herd should be just up ahead. Do you have everything you need?
[They were equipped with some sheep shears too. This shouldn’t be so hard, right?]
no subject
I think so? I mean... I've never done this before...
[ Herding sheep, anyway. This was not a Princess skill she'd needed to acquire yet. ]
Have you?
no subject
Sora returns his items to his bag and adjusts the strap to his bag.]
Nah, nothing like this before. [He grins.] But I'm kind of excited to try something new! How hard can shearing a few sheep be, right?
[He's a bundle of curious confidence!]
no subject
Still, his excitement for getting to try something new is still infectious and she can't help but give a soft laugh as she walks beside him. ]
Hopefully, the sheep won't mind that much... Are these supposed to be just normal sheep?

Lavi
[He’s not sure when he started to hang out with Lavi more often but that seems to be happening right now. Puca are so naturally social and like the company of their own kind so that probably has to factor into it somehow. So, here he is with the red-headed puca as they wander about the streets of Aefenglom on one bored and lazy afternoon. The weather is pleasantly breezy for the start of the month.
... And apparently Sora has a dumb joke to tell.]
no subject
Lavi would've holed away in the library if Sora hadn't tugged him out, wanting to spend the day together even if it was doing nothing.
So he can't help but snort at the question.]
I don't know. What?
[What kind of punchline do you have for your joke, Sora?]
no subject
And with that catch Sora tilts his head proudly.]
A harebrush!
[Get it? Har Har Har.]
no subject
That's a rather corny joke, Sora.

Vanitas
After certain developments, primarily Sora’s newfound overly aggressive attraction to magic, he’s kind of determined to be on his best behaviour today.
They’re on their way to a place Sora spotted just a few days before. A small café tucked away near the docks and water, not too busy and with the fresh breeze in the air, it’s the perfect place to sit outside. He’s so happy that the weather is looking so great the last few days.]
Do you have more classes you have to get to this afternoon?
no subject
No. I'm done for today. There's nothing I'm really interested in this afternoon.
[ So, really, they could take all the time that they wanted. However Vanitas is glad that the spot chosen is actually, well, not one of the more popular or crowded places. He's okay with some people, but he still doesn't like nor do well with large groups.
He's... Also a fair bit nervous himself today. There's reasons for that, of course, but Vanitas is keeping a rather tight lid on what can be felt through their Bond on his end. Maybe Sora's forgotten that Vanitas is to explain what's been eating at him lately.
Hey, there is a chance of that. ]
What do you even do all day anyway?
no subject
Don't worry. He's still wondering about that one...
He jolts a bit and lifts one finger in the air.]
What do you mean? I do all sorts of things all day! I don't have to go to classes like you so that means there's more time for me to help out with things like the outposts, small work here and there and with Riku's garden!
[... Don't call him out on being lazy most days, Vanitas. He just likes naps, okay. Okay.]
no subject
[ Because Vanitas is something of a perfectionist. He has to have mastery in as many areas as possible. If he can't, then he needs to at least know how a certain school of magic works so he can combat it properly if need be.
He huffs. Some people just can't appreciate actually being instructed rather than just being told to figure it out. ]
Sounds like to me that you do a lot of nothing important.
[ Yup! Going to just tease and see if he can get Sora going. Because that is far more comfortable and preferable than think about other things. Yup yup. ]

Riku
When they wander closer to the batch of giant melon-sized eggs Sora leans up on his tippy-toes as he tries to get a better look at them all.]
Do you think we could keep one after it hatches, Riku?
[Of course Sora wants to keep one of them. Ever since he was a child he has tried to keep several adopted animals. Wild or not! Is it a good idea? Well, that’s the big question...]
no subject
His eyes rove curiously over the eggs as he tries to determine which one looks the best. It's going to need to be one tough egg to survive their household, after all.]
I guess that depends on what's in it. The Wilders said whatever they are should be safe enough. [Although they had been lacking some surety in their voices...]
We'll need to actually keep the egg safe long enough for it to hatch first. So...which one do you want?
no subject
[Because apparently the biggest one is the best one to get according to Sora's logic. And as they get their turn to start browsing the collection of eggs Sora picks a reddish looking one and crouches down to put a hand no the top. It's very warm and smooth to the touch.]
Whoa... It really feels like there's something alive and growing in there.
no subject
He follows behind Sora as his friend inspects the eggs, ultimately deciding on the large reddish one. Crouching down on the eggs' other side he also places a hand on the warm, smooth surface.]
Yeah, that's kind of the point, Sora. If nothing was growing inside we wouldn't need to look after the eggs until they hatch. [His lips curve up into an amused grin.]
Let's make sure we can lift it on our own. It's a bit of a walk back to the house. [He moves his hands around one side of the egg, waiting for Sora to do the same on the other side.]

He took up playing the guitar, partly out of hopes that it would help scratch that itch, but...well, it's not enough. Yuma doesn't know what it is that's pulling at him, but it's becoming harder and harder to resist. So hard that, at this point, he simply can't anymore. Instincts he once thought were buried deep rise to the surface, and he takes flight.
The evening finds him perched on top of a small building, song flowing from his voice like a gentle, mournful breeze. There aren't many around to hear him. How disappointing. If only someone were close enough to listen to his song... ]
no subject
He's not expecting to hear some sort of soft tune on the wind. A soft mournful sounding note in the breeze that makes his long rabbit ears twitch. Sora stops and turns around to try to see if he can locate where it's coming from... He starts in the direction of the notes to try and find the alluring source...]
What is that...?
no subject
And so, he continues to sing, the melody coming to him as easily as breathing, as his eyes lock onto the...somehow familiar rabbit that approaches him. For now, he remains on his perch, his wings ever-so-slightly spread. Whether Yuma is aware that his song is actively luring someone is a mystery, but the thought not occurring to him means he doesn't notice any warning signs yet. ]

Vanitas
The full moons have never really affected Sora much before in the past. He figures it has to do with the number of healthy bonds that he has, the amount of magic that he gets to consume on a fairly average basis. But tonight seems to be a little different for Sora. The moon keeps him from sleeping and he finds himself somewhat irritated. He tosses and turns before he kicks off his blankets to find that his growing fur is itchy and his muscles are achy like he wants to do something. There is this heat rising in his chest that he can't swallow back and his eyes glow sharper than before.
It's not long before Sora can't handle how much he itches and he leaves his house to find the one person that he knows he can bother when he doesn't know what he should do with himself.
He climbs up the side of the house almost noiselessly, creeping in through the window like a creature of the night. His movement are quick and sleek and faster than usual. He feels stronger under all the irritation and itchy skin. Vanitas might not even notice the way Sora climbs up onto the bed and basically stares Vanitas down like he's something to consume. He doesn't talk or touch. He just stares with bright glowing yellow eyes.]
no subject
So that's why he doesn't even really notice the full moons. He doesn't really pick up on Sora's increased irritability - well he's also heading to be earlier than normal for a change too and that may have a great deal to do with it as well. Thus it should also not be such a surprise that he does doze through Sora creeping in through the window, for he is accustomed to that noise and doesn't feel threatened by it.
However Vanitas does begin to stir once he feels a weight upon his bed. It's with tired, bleary eyes that he sits up. That Vanitas blinks at Sora, squinting. He hasn't really registered quite yet that the other is really looking at him. ]
What are you just sitting there for...
[ Van assumes that this is another night, another time Sora just wants to stay over for whatever reason. ]
no subject
Hmm?
[Sora suddenly chitters quietly and crawls closer and closer to Vanitas like he might just crawl right on top of him soon. One hand rests on Vanitas' thigh and he gets his nose close to Vanitas to sniff again.]
I feel weird. It's itchy.

Sypha
Sora has been out here a few times before. He had helped with setting up the outpost on the other side of one of the heavier looking forests. He has seen cwyld destroy plants and living things, corrupt insects and trees and has fought a few creatures infected with it before.
He’s glad that he’s working with Sypha to check one of the outside areas. Who better to team up with than a former vampire hunter?
Looking upwards he does see that the clouds are gray today.]
Geeze, it looks like it might rain pretty hard later. We better check out what we can and make it back before it gets too dark.
no subject
The ominous sky is noted and it doesn't bode terribly well...]
...Agreed. We should not go too far out, if we can avoid it.
[you know, because the rain may be worse than regular rain out here.]
no subject
Yeah. I think the reports say that there were some black clouds coming from this way.
[Can they not have a cwyld shower today...? But Sora does nod as they head in further into the wilde. His ears twitch and his nose isn't as strong as say a canine turnskin's might be but his ears are sharp.]
Huh. I can't hear any birds in that direction.
[Which mean more than likely they were scared off for some reason.]
