[ Look, it isn't as if Vanitas likes this new habit of his of just dropping off into naps in the middle of the day. He really doesn't intend to do it at all. One moment he is just reading and the next? Out like a light. If only he could have this problem at night when it is the proper time to sleep.

To be fair, he isn't sure how he got on the floor either. But he can feel the nudging and it does make him stir. Normally Vanitas would immediately be on edge, but it is taking longer and longer for him to wake up. ]

Oh good, you're alive. I was worried for a second that I'd have to tell someone I found a body.

She nudges him again with her foot. It's fairly gentle now.]

You probably shouldn't be sleeping here though? Just a thought.

[ Apparently he had fallen asleep with a book on his face too. Grumbling, Van plucks it off of his face to see who it is that's bothering him. ]

I would imagine that the rise and fall of my chest would be a good indication that I was, in fact, still alive.

[ He is making no move to get up. ]

As for the floor? Who knows. Maybe I'm comfortable here.

It's fine being comfortable and all, but someone is probably going to trip on you if you stay here.

If they trip over me that would be their problem and not mine.

[ If they can't be fussed to go around him, how is that his fault? They should be more aware of their surroundings. It's really not on Vanitas.

Even so, he pushes himself up. At least he is siting now and starting to wake. Or, rather, his head is clearing up. ]

Maybe you should do some research on humans if you're so ignorant of them.

Researching humans sounds boring. Also, irrelevant in the long run because I'm not one. And probably also because there's monsters who are also nothing like humans.

Really? Not human? I had no idea! None at all whatsoever!

[ His expression soon changes into a flat one. ]

Look, I really don't care. Human. Not human. Monster... Whatever. You'll have no one to blame but yourself when you're ill-prepared.

And ill prepared for what? What are they gonna do, breath on me?

You really think that the color of your skin is a good way to measure if you are human or not? Honestly... You can't tell what someone is based on their appearance. After all, if we want to get technical here, I am not human either.

[ So there. See? See what being ignorant gets you? But honestly Vanitas hadn't questioned it because he just doesn't care enough to. After all Emet-Selch looks human but isn't. Nobodies look human but aren't. And sometimes monsters are more human than "humans" themselves. ]

That's really just it, though. You don't know what they could do, do you?

You can with reasonable species. [Like her. Like Gems! Honestly. She huffs a little.]

And even if you're not human, [Which makes sense, since half the population is monsters,] you're still organic.

[ Well... The debate on that could really be esoteric, huh? Is Darkness an organic material? Is the heart, the soul? Really Vanitas is organic only as long as he has a body, right?

But eh... Not worth it. He isn't that invested. ]
