Do I look like some magical princess with little woodland friends?

Only that I don't get what you are saying. But what is the point of learning anything like that? It doesn't sound like a useful skill.

The point? Music can lift the spirits, and bring people together. It's a way of keeping stories alive, as well.

[ Okay so maybe he would like an explanation - if only because Vantias is a curious sort. ]
Just how does it bring people together then.
no subject
Ah, well, that's simple enough. To perform a piece together, the performers must listen to each other and work together to create that music. The experience itself can be enjoyable- and listening seems to bring people together just as much.

[ Thancred you're talking in a language that doesn't make any sense. Someone sings just to keep people singing correctly? ]
no subject
[He starts clapping out a rhythm, lightly to start, and slowly building up before he begins a song in full- now comes a sailor from the sea- continuing on into the chorus.]

No…? Well, if you ever decide you would like to, you can always contact me. Perhaps- would there be something else you were interested in, then?
