[ Early in the evening on this particular night, if you happen to be taking a stroll nearby a certain toy store, you might happen to spot a little set-up that's been done some ways from the store on the cobblestone path. There's a table, four chairs, small little cups with saucers, and a teapot placed in the center of the table. All miniatures. If you're thinking tea party? You'd be thinking right. And who loves tea parties? Dolls love tea parties. It's a cute little set-up. How could any doll resist coming over to have some tea?
But near that little set-up is also a box. Yeah. A really BIG BOX that's tilted on an angle with a stick propping it up... angled to drop down over the little tea party and catch some dolls. How? With the near invisible string that's tied around the stick propping the up the box and runs up up up all the way to the building beside the toy store with a head peeking over the side. No, not a doll head. A vampire's head. Who, just so happens to spot someone strolling by his trap. ]
Psst! Get away from that! You'll scare the dolls off!
[ That sure is Trevor now-a-vampire-but-still-a Belmont shouting in a whisper at you. ]

[It's actually a good idea, now that Alucard thinks about it.]
I think we can work non-verbally.

Got any suggestions on what to stuff our ears with?
no subject
I may have prepared something, yes.
no subject
Well that's better than the leaves I was going to suggest.
[ He chuckles a bit (maybe joking??) before he puffs out a sigh and takes another look around them. ]
There's a thunderstorm coming from the sounds and smell of things. I don't know if that's going to make this easier or harder for us. Depending on how hard it comes down, it might make seeing the thing a little more difficult.
no subject
[Storms though. Alucard considers this, then makes a decision.]
If we can't see then we leave this for another day. If I make this-- [and here he makes the cut it out gesture] then we need to retreat.
no subject
...what the hell kind of signal is that?
no subject
no subject
[ It's going to have to, right? ]
Then it's settled. Cotton and hand signals.

[Alucard pauses, then reaches over. A few stray pieces of hair are in Trevor's face now, and it's bothering him.]
You need a haircut.
no subject
What? Does it look bad or something?

[ What with getting weaker and sicker and eventually dying. But, with a turn then, he pulls his cloak around him a little more and looks off around the fields of the farm. ]
We should probably do this a little ways from here. I don't want the people living here to end up as targets for this thing.

[Alucard considers the point. He then leans down and picks up his awful and awfully smelly sack of dismemebered farm animal.]
I'll let you pick the battleground. Just tell me where to scatter the sack's content.
no subject
Can I carry you there? [ A beat ] I'm faster and can get us there quicker.
no subject
no subject
Just. You know.
[ To which he then gestures scooping Alucard up into his arms. Just like that. Yeah. ]

I'll carry the bag.

[Enjoy the horrible stinky sack Trevor.]
Let's get moving, shall we?

[This would be almost romantic. If Trevor wasn't also carrying a bag of animal parts.
Alucard lets himself be scooped up. He settles against Trevor, then wraps his arms around the man's shoulders to be secure.]
Let's go.

But with a firm grip on both the bag and the blond, he smiles down to Alucard for a moment before he takes off as quickly as he does. Everything flies past them at a speed that Alucard might be accustomed to, Trevor having only grown used to it as of late. Steps feel like leaps to him and his cloak blows in the wind behind him as he darts through the fields with Alucard held close and tight and protective almost.
There some ways from the farm, thunder rumbling within the skies above and Trevor looks up to catch a flash of lightning streak across the sky when he suddenly hears something that sounds so close around them... and he catches sight of the devil creature up ahead. ]
Shit.
[ He digs a heel into the earth and swerves some with Alucard still held tight, just narrowly missing a swipe from the devil creature lunging at them. He drops the blond down to the ground and spins around to smack the devil creature in the face with the bag of bait they had. Doesn't pack too much of a punch and the sound of blood sloshing around in the bag is loud in the way the smack was given, but the devil creature grabs hold of Trevor's wrist and tosses him over its shoulder, sending the vampire flying through the sky and slamming down to the ground with the blood and parts scattering everywhere. ]

Alucard's never done this from the passenger seat. He's not sure how he feels about it, because he recognizes it all. But his body? It's doing nothing. Absolutely nothing. And then there's the closeness with Trevor like this, they're usually this close when they kiss and--
--the rain and the creature arrive at the same time.]
Ears!
[Alucard lands quickly, rolling a few feet and then springing up. He shoves the two cotton balls into his ears, but fuck-- Trevor' s wrist. And Trevor.
There's a low snarl from the dhampir, and he rushes the devil with his sword held out, planning to get the damn thing away from Trevor as quickly as possible.
He can't multi task. But Alucard tries, throwing the earplugs in Trevor's general direction. He has good eyes. He'll find them.]
no subject
But he flips back when the creature comes for him and he catches sight of the earplugs being tossed... off to the side. With a what the fuck, Alucard? expression on his face, hands even held out, he rolls off to the side to grab the plugs.
That's when he notices there's a second one coming from the bush and with another shit muttered under his breath, he grabs the cotton balls from the ground quickly and unhooks the Morning Star whip from his side. ]
I think the bait is working!
[ The sound of the Morning Star whip clinking around can be heard as Trevor throws the end of it off in direction of the one closest to him, twirling and snapping and flicking the whip around like the master that he is with it. He can do this. He can handle this. They can handle this. It's fine. ]
no subject
--there's a second one. Of course. But also good, that means the situation really will be finished. So Alucard's attention turns to the devil he's already attacked, and that thing? That thing takes Alucard's full arm and flings him about cheerfully, throwing him into a dense bit of woods.]
