[ Early in the evening on this particular night, if you happen to be taking a stroll nearby a certain toy store, you might happen to spot a little set-up that's been done some ways from the store on the cobblestone path. There's a table, four chairs, small little cups with saucers, and a teapot placed in the center of the table. All miniatures. If you're thinking tea party? You'd be thinking right. And who loves tea parties? Dolls love tea parties. It's a cute little set-up. How could any doll resist coming over to have some tea?
But near that little set-up is also a box. Yeah. A really BIG BOX that's tilted on an angle with a stick propping it up... angled to drop down over the little tea party and catch some dolls. How? With the near invisible string that's tied around the stick propping the up the box and runs up up up all the way to the building beside the toy store with a head peeking over the side. No, not a doll head. A vampire's head. Who, just so happens to spot someone strolling by his trap. ]
Psst! Get away from that! You'll scare the dolls off!
[ That sure is Trevor now-a-vampire-but-still-a Belmont shouting in a whisper at you. ]

alucard; the dorchacht devil
The Dorchacht Devil, huh?
[ He murmurs the name this creature has been given as boots step into the cool earth beneath them. The Morning Star whip remains clipped at his side and Trevor himself wears black leather gloves so as not to accidentally burn himself.
Truthfully, he's been rather quiet on the trip out here and there's a lingering blip of sadness that can be felt through their bond, but he doesn't speak about it. Doesn't bring it up. Just keeps the chatter they do have about the creature mostly. It's better to what with having this job and all, right? Right.
Standing there in one of the fields, he looks to the night sky before turning to Alucard then, his hair having grown longer since last month and gently brushing against his cheek as another breeze whips by. ]
What do you think? Camp out here and see if it comes? Would probably need bait for that.
no subject
While Trevor has rested, Alucard has finished his intelligence gathering a little bit of additional information. It's the part about paralysis that concerns him, and he tugs his coat close against him. April it may be, but it's early. The night air is still cold.]
I procured bait while you were resting. I asked one of the farmers for the remains of his attacked creature.
[Alucard taps a bloodied sack with his foot.]
We need a plan for the paralysis the thing is capable of educing though.
no subject
Do you know any spells that could counter it?
[ A beat. ]
Or something that could impair our hearing from it? Although [ he crosses his arms then ] that would mean relying on sight a helluva lot more and if this thing is fast, it might be easy to lose track of it.
[ Nevermind if there's MORE. ]
no subject
[Alucard pauses, then considers.]
Your hearing should be what mine was. As is your sight, if I recall correctly. We'll have to rely on you.
no subject
[ More sensitive hearing and all. ]
Either way, I don't think it's something that either of us should take on alone.

sypha; meteor shower things
His window is open, the cool breeze of the night air spilling through into his room as he sits out on the ledge of it with legs dangling down. His room's a little high up but nothing ridiculous and he's got a pretty good view of the streets around them. But it's the sky that his gaze is lingering on, a dagger held within his gloved hands which he idly rolls back and forth with a bottle of something strong set beside him on the ledge.
There's a blip of sadness that ripples through the bond and he sighs as he reaches for the bottle and takes a swig from it, wiping his mouth with the back of his arm after. Just enjoying the night air, the night sky, the loneliness of it all again. ]
no subject
The boxes were expected, sure, her own room was similar, but seeing him sitting there on the ledge outside his window was not. She stepped forward, picking her way through and slipping out the window to take a seat next to him.]
...What's wrong, Trevor?
no subject
He taps the sheathed dagger against his gloved fingers before he puffs out a sigh and lets his head knock back, gaze drifting up to the night sky. ]
You know... for a really long time, I had nobody. Not a single person who cared or I cared about myself. My parents are dead, family gone, last of the fucking Belmonts. The one who got away.
[ He pauses, just for a moment. ]
But then... you came along. Alucard as well, though that was more here. But so did others. I didn't really care at first and I didn't want to care but... somehow it just happened. Caring. Considering people friends and I thought, maybe it's ok now. Maybe... it really is.
[ He looks to Sypha then. ]
Someone I considered a friend has left here- well, two someones, turns out.
no subject
...I'm sorry to hear that, Trevor.
[She turns to look up at him, a bleak sensation settling over her, somewhere between sadness and worry.]
Do you think they're maybe in a better place?
no subject
I don't know. I didn't know much about the places they were from.
[ He frowns a bit. ]
Maybe I should have.
[ He doesn't know WHY he thought he had all the time in the world for that sort of stuff here. It's not like this place is any different from back home after all. He just... was so wrapped up in his own shit. Or something.
Sighing, he lets his head fall against Sypha's, a gloved hand reaching out to rest on her knee. ]
I don't want you to leave.

hector; pre full moon ( cw for blood drinking )
Ordinarily, he'd feed from his other bonded, as he's done for some time now. But, with Hector offering himself up to the vampire and having felt a sense of guilt and concern for always relying on just his bonded for blood, he's here outside Hector's place, tapping at the faun's door with the handle of a rather large and scary looking ax.
Knock knock, Hector. ]
no subject
With a vampire's hearing, Trevor will hear Hector come to the door and check the peep hole before unlocking the door. The night is dark and full of predators, and around the full moon, Hector's instincts actually push him to exercise some caution.
Except for the fact that when he sees a vampire at his door, he still opens it up. There's a half-drunk wine bottle in his hand, and empty bottles littered on the table inside.]
Belmont, you'll wake the dead with that racket. ...why are you armed?
[It starts out in a teasing tone, but he frowns. Is there something out there, in the darkness? He reaches for Trevor's shirt to tug him inside to the safety of the apartment.]
no subject
[ Yanked inside, he nearly trips over his own feet before he catches himself and straightens up. Well, at least he's inside and didn't stumble down to the floor? Silver lining. ]
As I was saying... I brought it for you.
[ To which he holds the ax out for Hector then. ]
It's lot stronger than that hammer you were carrying and this is made of pure silver.
[ He runs a gloved finger over the blade of the ax, letting it shine some in the light of the night and the residence, smile on his lips as he does. ]
no subject
Hector reaches for the handle, and has to grasp it with both hands to keep it from immediately clattering to the floor. He's not weak, but fuck it's heavy.]
Belmont...do you honestly think I can use something like this?

iramaat; tavern mopes
Trevor makes his way through the place with his cloaked pulled around him a bit. It's begun to rain outside a little and the night air is cool against the skin for anyone out and about. For Trevor? Doesn't bother him in the least and that's all thanks to his being a vampire and his body temperature being much cooler than usual anyways. Silver lining? Silver lining.
He gets himself a tankard of beer and glances over his shoulder when he happens to catch the familiar sight of someone he hasn't seen for a couple weeks now. So, with drink in hand, he makes his way over to where she's seated and drops himself down into the nearest chair. ]
This seat's not taken, is it?
no subject
Every time I meet you, there's alcohol involved. Not that I'm complaining.
[ There's a bit of a loose quality to her words. She's drunk. ]
no subject
[ He offers her a bit of a smile before he takes a swig of his drink and he notices the way she doesn't seem to really be her... usual self? Well, she wasn't entirely the last time either. Shit's been a little difficult the past couple of months so yeah, he gets it. He was just, you know, sort of hoping she'd be seeming a bit better the next time he saw her. ]
So how many have you had so far? Need to know how much I need to catch up.
no subject
[ She hums and looks into her mug. ]
Maybe three. Or four? I haven't been counting.
[ She's just been drinking. ]
So you're going to have to speed up, I think.

dolly mine quest!
Diarmuid's eyes flicker between the tiny teaset and carefully crafted fake shortcake and the vampire for a few moments as he puts the two together.]
... scare the-
[Oh. Oh, now he gets it.
Diarmuid drops his voice to a bewildered hiss as he slips over, careful to avoid catching the near imperceptible line of the string Trevor is presumably holding. As far as traps go, this is one of the most inelegant he's ever seen but, then again, he's never made quarry of dolls before. At least he can follow his logic. Mostly.]
My apologies. It seems that we're after the same thing. [a beat] ... a cardboard box? Really?
no subject
Yes???
[ It's a pretty damn good plan?? Plus, not like he had much in the way to work with so, Master of Improvisation Trevor Belmont definitely is. ]
How else are you supposed to catch them?
no subject
Hurriedly, he ducks out of the sightline of the trap, alongside him.]
I don't know. [And then, realising that he's just proving Trevor's point, he adds with not a small amount of exasperation:] With something more substantial than a box?
[look he's never had to catch enchanted dolls before]
Move in night
Which he was rather proud of, all things considered. Had Trevor's needs not been so very specific, the three probably could have just used one of the cottages and been content enough. But vampires needed to be kept from daylight, and that demanded a basement.
Alucard had turned it into a one bedroom apartment. A kitchenette area with a refrigeration unit (no burner, due to a fear of fires.) A large open room with a plush sofa and two arm chairs, ringed around a coffee table. An actual bedroom with a bed definitely good for two, possibly willing to have a third if everyone squeezed in tight. Drawers for clothes, a closet, everything. None of the pieces were terribly stylish, but that's because Alucard didn't want to overstep.
But his pride wasn't going to be in a job well done. It was going to be in the reaction of Trevor, and that's where Alucard's eyes were. Looking over at the Belmont and waiting.]
no subject
But this is good, this is what they need. Some place a little bigger for the three of them that can be considered theirs and have the added room and space for Alucard and Sypha's books and... witchy things... and for Trevor himself to have somewhere he can rest during the day without the worry of accidentally burning himself.
Case in point: the basement of their new place that Alucard is showing to him.
It's... a lot more than he thought the blond would give him, if he's honest. Not that he thought Alucard would dump him in some moldy and musty basement and expect him to just "deal with it" but... he can see the care the blond has put into this and how little he's touched the décor of the place and... he has no idea what to feel. ]
You... did all this? For me?
no subject
[Alucard leans against the door frame, eyes resting on Trevor. He tilts his head, almost wolf like.]
I'm not sure if the bed will be big enough, and I probably put too many blankets on it but-- well, go check.
no subject
[ So, you know, that was nice of him?? Even if he's begun to more or less accept his whole being a full bloodsucker now. But he steps his way further into the room/apartment/place for him and surveys it with quiet consideration for everything that has been carefully done for him.
Dropping himself down onto the bed, he sits there and lets himself bounce on it a little to test it out. ]
Feels fine to me. Did you make the bed, too?
