[ Early in the evening on this particular night, if you happen to be taking a stroll nearby a certain toy store, you might happen to spot a little set-up that's been done some ways from the store on the cobblestone path. There's a table, four chairs, small little cups with saucers, and a teapot placed in the center of the table. All miniatures. If you're thinking tea party? You'd be thinking right. And who loves tea parties? Dolls love tea parties. It's a cute little set-up. How could any doll resist coming over to have some tea?
But near that little set-up is also a box. Yeah. A really BIG BOX that's tilted on an angle with a stick propping it up... angled to drop down over the little tea party and catch some dolls. How? With the near invisible string that's tied around the stick propping the up the box and runs up up up all the way to the building beside the toy store with a head peeking over the side. No, not a doll head. A vampire's head. Who, just so happens to spot someone strolling by his trap. ]
Psst! Get away from that! You'll scare the dolls off!
[ That sure is Trevor now-a-vampire-but-still-a Belmont shouting in a whisper at you. ]
other things?

But he flips back when the creature comes for him and he catches sight of the earplugs being tossed... off to the side. With a what the fuck, Alucard? expression on his face, hands even held out, he rolls off to the side to grab the plugs.
That's when he notices there's a second one coming from the bush and with another shit muttered under his breath, he grabs the cotton balls from the ground quickly and unhooks the Morning Star whip from his side. ]
I think the bait is working!
[ The sound of the Morning Star whip clinking around can be heard as Trevor throws the end of it off in direction of the one closest to him, twirling and snapping and flicking the whip around like the master that he is with it. He can do this. He can handle this. They can handle this. It's fine. ]
no subject
--there's a second one. Of course. But also good, that means the situation really will be finished. So Alucard's attention turns to the devil he's already attacked, and that thing? That thing takes Alucard's full arm and flings him about cheerfully, throwing him into a dense bit of woods.]

Right as the other one comes up for him.
He bursts into mist again, narrowly avoiding its swipe once more and comes up behind it, cracking his whip at the back of its head and hating how this would be so much more easier if the Morning Star was enchanted.
But the crack also gets the creature to SCREAM and Trevor falters then with a hand coming up to cover at his ear, his other pressed into his shoulder as he drops down to a knee. ]
no subject
--well fuck, Trevor's taking advantage of his new vampire abilities. It's a good match for the whip, although Alucard doesn't want to be near the thing. Blessed or not anymore, it's dangerous and Alucard is without his normal defenses.
The scream doesn't impact him. Human ears. He doesn't hear as well, and so he rushes at the devil that has caused Trevor to go still. His sword is out first, and he thrusts the blade at the thing's throat. It isn't clear how deep he's gotten, but the thing is thrashing and screeching at the other end.]

A crack of his whip, he throws the thing around the neck of the devil Alucard is handling and yanks on it hard with the intention of getting it down to the ground. When the other advances on him, he's quick to explode into puff of mist, reappearing behind the other devil. He grabs at one of its wings and tugs it back with fierce vampire strength, still holding the morning star within his other hand to try and keep the other devil immobilized for Alucard as much as possible.
It's the sudden BOOM of thunder so loud within the skies above that make the devils screech and thrash about more and Trevor is tossed off to the side but lands rather gracefully, the morning star whip wrapped around his wrist.
And that's when it starts to pour. ]
no subject
The blood splatter hits him in the face first, and the thing falls. It's losing too much blood, and Alucard brings his sword down just as the thunder sounds. The devil's rolled away and is struggling to get back up.
That seems to have it's friend's attention, for just as rain comes down, Alucard is attacked from the side. He falls, but there's no grace from it. The thing is too angry, and Alucard had been unprepared for the blow.]

The devil screeches and Trevor snarls with eyes burning red as he swing his whip about. Water kicks up around him as he moves about with swift and grace, dancing with his whip in a way that only a Belmont could as he smacks and pushes back the devil amid the rain and thunder.
When the devil goes to take flight, Trevor is quick to throw the morning star around its cloven ankle, wrapping tight. Heels buried deep in the wet earth, he holds tight as he tries to reel the creature back in, sliding along the ground as he tries to keep his balance. ]
Fucking piece of shit! Get back here!
no subject
He remembers the fireball. Sypha and Trevor depending on each for balance while Alucard drove the thing back to his father's face. It's a memory that drives Alucard to action, and he runs so that he is behind Trevor. Puts his hands over the Belmont's wrists, ignoring the mud that smears over them.
They can't talk. But Alucard knows and trusts Trevor, and so he adds his strength into the next yank, hoping the motion will come at the opportune moment.]

But with the added help in trying to reel the devil back in, he digs deep within himself and yanks on the whip the same time the blond does, managing to drag the devil down from the sky... and straight for them. Whoops. But Trevor is quick to grab Alucard's arm and drag him away before the devil crashes into the ground.
Quick as he is, he yanks the short sword from the other devil's throat (seems pretty dead to him??) and throws it off in Alucard's direction to take. Hopefully he can... catch that just fine. ]
no subject
A much needed drag, as it turns out. The devil's crash is loud and horrible and terrifying, but there's something-- ah. It landed on a wing. There's a bone poking out. All it is now is a matter of finishing it.
Alucard takes the short sword, just as the devil struggles to it's feet. With luck, Trevor can pin the thing's legs leaving Alucard free to finish this.]

The rain continues to pour and beat down around them while another crack of thunder booms above them high in the sky. But Alucard's got this. That much he knows. ]
no subject
Alucard's drenched by the rain by the time he sheathes his sword. He's dripping when he returns to Trevor, digging the earplugs out of his ears.]
There's no more of them, is there?
no subject
Not as far as I can tell.
[ He brushes a gloved hand over his face, knowing its futile what with the rain and all but still doing it out of habit. ]
What do you want to do with the bodies? Can't torch them in this weather.
no subject
[Alucard snorts at the hand over his face. It's colder than the rain right now.]
What I want right now is to be somewhere inside where it's warm.
no subject
Right. Sounds like a good idea- both counts.
[ Glancing to Alucard, he can both hear and smell the blond's blood rushing through his veins and it has Trevor step away from his bonded, a hand brushing strands of wet hair out of his face. ]
I'd say we could stay at the farmhouse until the rain stops but there's no guarantee it will before morning and I'd rather not be stuck somewhere until nightfall.
no subject
[He grumbles, pulling his coat tighter around himself.]
no subject
Fine. Let's go. I'm sure they won't mind us staying there what with slaying their devil and all.
[ And so, he starts heading back, boots squishing as he goes. ]
Thankfully not that far.
no subject
[Alucard's good enough to keep pace, but the reaction is...weird.]
no subject
[ He still keeps going as they talk. ]
I'll stay in the barn. You stay in the farmhouse with them. Sound good?
no subject
Stay in the farmhouse with me until morning?
no subject
[ He says his name a little firmly but keeps looking ahead, keeps going. ]
I'm a vampire. [ A beat. ] I'm thirsty.
[ To which he looks to the blond then and gestures to his red eyes. ]
Or did you not notice these?
[ NO, he can't see his eyes, but he's come to discover that they turn red when he's angry and hungry and considering there had been a lot of blood shed in that fight back there?? Yeah. ]
no subject
[There's only one solution.]
How much do you need?
no subject
[ He dismisses that with a wave of his hand. ]
I was just going to stay in the barn until I've calmed down. I'm not dying for blood but that fight just made my vampire stomach growl is all.
no subject
[There's a nasty squelch as Alucard's feet find a rather nasty mud puddle, and the stuff splashes up to Alucard's knees.]
no subject
You sure that's a good idea? You saw what happened when I just had a lick of your blood that one time.
