Is it worth it (open catch all!)
Who: Caren and you!
When: Throughout the month
Where: All over Aef and Dorch
What: Caren all over this month, offering chocolates, may be napping, def working.
Warnings: Tba!
To previous CR
A chocolate surprise
[So it seems for a certain heart filled day, Caren had been working hard. Which meant...if She knew you, it was likely a small package was shoved into your hands.]
Here. Happy Valentines day.
A check up
[She could be found around her garden, or at her house, all bundled up, socks on her wings and tails. And she was...a very sleepy looking bean, but in smelling or hearing, she became alert, and glanced over.]
Oh. This is a surprise. What brings you here?
Open to All
But of course a lesson
[She had been unsure of coming but...she made a promise. If she didn't come, and she couldn't find anyone to conduct her lessons- or think of it- then she had to do it herself. She had to continue her lessons in Dorchact.
Also, she could reach all of her kitchen things. That made it appealing.
She was more animated here, for all that she was bundled up, and full of gesturing and explaining how to make a particular dish.
She even came around to give samples of biscotti and whatever dish she just taught, with a small smile and nods, offering comments and nods of encouragement.]
Did you want a sample? Or no?
Be ready to sew
[She didn't just work in the former Foggy city though. She still had shifts at Knit Wit, with the alterists. At least it met she had to sit for long periods of time.
But hearing the ringing of the door, she stood up, nodding politely.]
Welcome to Knit Wit. How may we be of service today?
Wildcard
Where anything goes! Want to see her at full moon? Bully her into napping? Or anything else! And if You have questions you can catch me on discord or on my plurk!

A chocolate surprise
[Natsuru had certainly blossomed, so to speak, since she'd last seen Caren. Even smaller in stature compared to even a few months ago, newly grown wings folded back, and with feathery antennae poking out from her matching-colored hair - but her face and general shape are recognizable enough. She's carrying a bag hooked under her elbow, planning on getting to a few deliveries of her own, when suddenly the familiar chimera approaches.]
Eh?
[She blinks, clearly surprised, and only realizes after a moment that she's now holding that package in her hands. Realization dawns, and combines with memories of Caren's teasing to bring a light flush to her cheeks.]
Oh! Um... thank you?
[She knows this has to be friend chocolate. She's not that easily flustered. But coming from someone she only sort of knows, it's still a surprise! And now she's second-guessing her own participation in the holiday.]
Wait... H-How much are you giving out? Is it really okay for me to have some?
It's all good, she went overboard
It wouldn't fit now huh.]
Oh, quite a few. It's fine, so please enjoy your chocolate.
And don't feel the need for an obligation gift. There's no need.
♥
Wait a minute... it's my first time doing this, and I made a lot.
[She stashes the chocolate she'd been given in a hidden pocket in her dress, and immediately starts rustling through the bag she's carrying.]
It's okay if it's not an obligation gift, right? It's like... 'let's be friends' chocolate.
[The small bundle of homemade chocolates she pulls out is labeled with that very phrase. "Let's be friends." Saying it out loud too is making her blush so hard. She's just trying to emulate Towa and Marie a little here, making an offer of friendship to someone she barely knows. But she's clearly still so very awkward about it... and not just because Caren teased her a lot that one time.]
no subject
I see...
[Oh hey, is this friendship chocolate? Looks like it. Caren took it carefully, in part because of her gloved hands.]
Just friends, correct? No desire for more between us?
[Double checking and messing with her.]
no subject
Ah... I have a girlfriend!
[Whoops. Now saying that is getting her flustered. She's being teased by one pretty girl while thinking of another pretty girl she'd be embarrassed to be seen by right now. Great.]
no subject
[She tilted her head, and smiled.]
Does that mean you were interested in a one time threesome?
no subject
[She's very emphatic! And serious! And belatedly wonders if she'd somehow just implied Caren isn't attractive by being so emphatic and serious.]
I mean, not with anyone! U-unless Monika wants... but we haven't even-...
[She cuts off there, blushing yet again. Does she even have to elaborate on what it is they haven't done yet? And besides, aren't threesomes just a thing people fantasize about? Part of her knows Caren is probably just being a huge tease, but it's not like she can help reacting anyway.]

A Chocolate Surprise
Oh, you didn't have to...
[But he loves chocolate. Anyone who's even passingly familiar with his taste would be aware of as much, or at least be able to deduce it with relative ease.]
I hadn't really expected this to be a custom, here. I don't have anything for you, but I could... etch a spell for you? Is there one you need?
[He's already reaching for a fresh set of supplies, glancing up expectantly.]
no subject
It isn't- Linden, stop.
[Gently, she set a hand on his.]
This is a gift, freely given. If you wish to give something back, wait until March. That's what they do in Japan, yes?
no subject
His eyes dart toward her face when she touches his hand.]
I... guess it is. White Day?
[He's not Japanese; he's only vaguely familiar with the tradition.]
Would you tell me the monetary worth of the gift so I can ensure proper calculation of a treble value?
no subject
[Maybe she should have given him a larger chocolate. Then again...he's trying to do it exactly? Oh L.
With a sigh, she gently took both of his hands in hers, careful not to touch the chocolate. No claim on chocolate. It's his chocolate now.]
I could, but I don't see the point. You know that I'm not materialistic in nature. If you wish to buy me a cookie or a bar of soap or anything similar, that would be fine.
I'm only half Japanese, so I don't feel the need to adhere too deeply to the traditional rules.
no subject
It's true... you're not materialistic. It makes returning gifts difficult.
[He considers for a moment.]
I'm only a quarter Japanese. If you were to combine our genetics, we'd be 3/8 Japanese, between us. Therefore, by tripling that number, would it be alright if I got you a gift that cost 1 and 1/8 as much as the chocolate you purchased for me?
no subject
You don't have to do that. You can just...purchase one chocolate to give in return, if you're so inclined. Or buy a chocolate for yourself.

chocolate!!!
And the sound of approaching footsteps. ]
Uh—
[ That's... one way to meet Caren again. ]
...Th-thank you.
no subject
But hey. She's giving some friendship chocolates. And not yelling at Steak.]
These are friendship chocolates, and while you can give something back in a month, there's nothing truly expected.
So. Enjoy.
[Ah. Awkward. Time to turn around and go.]
no subject
... Wait, in a month? While that tradition isn't entirely foreign to Tierra, he's much more used to the one where the men gift the women on this day. He glances up from the chocolates to see Caren already retreating. ]
Hey, wait up.
[ He closes the distance she's already managed to put between them with a light jog. ]
Let's have breakfast together.
[ He likes the sound of that better than having to buy flowers anyway. ]
no subject
[She peered up at Steak, cocking her eyebrow.]
Are you asking for a breakfast date Steak? Quite bold of you.
no subject
[ There's a flush of pink to his cheeks, but he holds his arm out anyway, the minimum of manners gleaned from years of working around nobles.
Would she like to? ]
no subject
She takes his arm all the same and starts walking.]
I suppose if you take me on a date, I may forgive you for your lapse during our last meeting.

chocolate surprise
[He takes the package more out of surprise than anything else, then he smiles and chuckles softly. Ah, yes, it's that day isn't it.
The last full moon had almost completed his transformation, leaving him chilly to the touch and entirely without a pulse. Only Steak really knows what he went through on that night, and this is just the thing to take his mind off all of it.]
Thank you, Caren. That's kind of you.
no subject
She offered him a shy little smile and a shrug.]
I know it isn't celebrated here, but I believed it would be correct of me to offer chocolates of appreciation.
You do not have to give anything in return though.
no subject
[Not the first time he's received a gift, but one of the first times that it's been from a young woman he actually cared to receive one from.]
If you'd like me to cook you a meal, I'd be happy to.
no subject
[She means it. If she could have made wine infused chocolate and have it turn out, she would have.
She ain't giving RW bad chocolates.]
But cook me a meal? That would be lovely, though you don't have to. Are you thinking as a token for White Day...?
no subject
[As a token is fine, but he's more than content to cook for her whenever she asks. The chocolates are something to be examined later, and he tucks the box carefully under his arm.]
Take your time to think of a request.
no subject
[She breathed a laugh. But hey, she's enjoying it, so.]
I'll consider it. I'm far too used to making my own meals, and meals for others.
