Is it worth it (open catch all!)
Who: Caren and you!
When: Throughout the month
Where: All over Aef and Dorch
What: Caren all over this month, offering chocolates, may be napping, def working.
Warnings: Tba!
To previous CR
A chocolate surprise
[So it seems for a certain heart filled day, Caren had been working hard. Which meant...if She knew you, it was likely a small package was shoved into your hands.]
Here. Happy Valentines day.
A check up
[She could be found around her garden, or at her house, all bundled up, socks on her wings and tails. And she was...a very sleepy looking bean, but in smelling or hearing, she became alert, and glanced over.]
Oh. This is a surprise. What brings you here?
Open to All
But of course a lesson
[She had been unsure of coming but...she made a promise. If she didn't come, and she couldn't find anyone to conduct her lessons- or think of it- then she had to do it herself. She had to continue her lessons in Dorchact.
Also, she could reach all of her kitchen things. That made it appealing.
She was more animated here, for all that she was bundled up, and full of gesturing and explaining how to make a particular dish.
She even came around to give samples of biscotti and whatever dish she just taught, with a small smile and nods, offering comments and nods of encouragement.]
Did you want a sample? Or no?
Be ready to sew
[She didn't just work in the former Foggy city though. She still had shifts at Knit Wit, with the alterists. At least it met she had to sit for long periods of time.
But hearing the ringing of the door, she stood up, nodding politely.]
Welcome to Knit Wit. How may we be of service today?
Wildcard
Where anything goes! Want to see her at full moon? Bully her into napping? Or anything else! And if You have questions you can catch me on discord or on my plurk!

I'll probably buy a chocolate for myself, as well... I often do for no real reason or occasion. But this was kind, and I really would like to return it the correct way. I just don't have a lot of experience with this.
[And actually through no real fault of his own, for the most part.]
no subject
Neither do I. I just...realized it was the day, and wanted to follow the tradition.
So just one chocolate for chocolate. Or sweets. Whatever you want to give me. Does that help?
[She may be a little flustered too. Not by much, but a tad.]
no subject
It helps...
[Sort of. In an unhelpful and vague way.]
But perhaps I also want to follow the tradition. It's not a chance I have often, much less getting it right.
no subject
I suppose...
[She sighs gently. Then:]
If I remember right, it's not...so much a chocolate for a chocolate. It'd be a gesture in return for gesture. As a way to show if there's interest in friendship or romance.
So, for example, if you wanted to make it romantic, it can be flowers. Or in my case, flower seeds for my garden.
If you just wanted it to be friendship, it can be handkerchiefs.
Better?

[And absolutely more fraught. She's offering two options very neutrally when they're not the same, at all, and one is certainly higher-risk.]
I'll give it some thought.
[The pressure is on.]

If you need advice...you can ask others, see they have a better suggestions?

Linden, I never thought you were stupid. I'm not going to throw away a gift.
...unless it's particularly bad.

It's not about other people. You cannot be certain my reactions will be the same as others.

Be careful in asking that to others Linden. They may assume you mean you want a romantic relationship.
[And Caren, oblivious as she is, doesn't understand he may see her that way- as someone he likes romantically.]

[She shook her head.]
No problem. I doubt people would laugh at you. Be surprised, perhaps.

[A pause.]
That was a joke, even though deduction is one of my strengths. Please treat it as good-natured self deprecation.

I know good-natured self deprecation when I hear it. That was a good one. Cute, even.

Now I want to see it.

That's a little too far.
