The Room where it happens (open catch all!)
Who: Sokie and you!
When: All month
Where: All over the city and on the outskirts
What: Open starters for Sokie as she tries to be productive!
Warnings: TBA
I: Parliament
[There was a lot of listening on Sokie's part, which may have seemed unusual for those who Kew her. Usually she was chatty, filled with charm and wit- but in Parliament, she dressed in a formal business suit and took notes (and also doodled). In exiting a meeting, she paused outside of the building and took a few moments to stretch. Her butt felt sore for sitting still so long.]
My butt hurts. I guess this is why I've always turned down a desk job.
[She needed to do some yoga and have a run. And a bath.]
II: Radio Hour
[Anyone and everyone could call or text in, but Sokie would stay on voice since...well, she was on the morning hour with her radio advice show. Which was on right now, live.]
Hello dear listener, welcome to An Undertaking with Undertown. What question can I answer today?
III: Teaching Magic
[She left a notice on te boards again. It wasn't good last month, by this time...maybe She could help some of the newbies learn their magic or how to counter it.
She asked them to meet at the entry of Haven, and after some introductions, things would move on from there. Well. She got to the point really.]
So, what do you want to learn today?
IV: A different kind of practice
[It was true she had a baton, but it was the kidnapping and speaking to Sephiroth that was a wake up call. Heck, she might have even been denying it, since the snow storm.
But she found a smithy and was going through the weapons, one by one, trying to find which would suit her best. So far, nothing really caught her eye but...she found one, and lightly twirled tin in one hand.]
It feels nicer but I think I need to put this through its paces.
...hey. You wouldn't mind going for a round, right?
[Sorry curious customer and or passerby. Sokie wants a smol fite.]
V: A moment of quiet
[She was in a corner of a cafe, or maybe just in Diplomatea. As usual, there were books around her, papers of various formulae, but she seemed more interested in her tea or coffee then she was in her work. Seeing someone nearby, she made a beckoning motion with her hand.]
Don't worry, I can move my stuff. Why don't you come sit?
VI: Wildcard
All other options, including hunting outside of the city can be done here! Any questions, comments, can be directed to my discord or at my plurk!

[She rubbed the back of her neck, taking him in. Huh. She had missed him in her checking the tent hospital. Likely due to blood loss and magic deprivation.]
And considering some of the people being hot heads, this is babysitting.
no subject
So this babysitting is an extreme circumstance now, huh? Keeping an eye out for the vulnerables?
[ Judar, given how you are right now, you're in that group of 'vulnerables' ]
no subject
Something like that. I mean, we've got a weird mix. Did you know Marie is on council? Tiny, ball of sunshine Marie.
[So many people who could get eaten alive.]
Speaking of vulnerable, you wanna sit somewhere?
no subject
Dunno if I know Marie. There's always someone that tries to go in full of optimism, though, when there's enough seats.
[ But damn... You actually went off calling him vulnerable. Truth hurts, yo. ]
... I guess if you feel like some drinks. There's bound to be a nearby bar, right?
no subject
[Yeah unconsenting cannibalism isn't cool mmkay.]
Guess she's our mascot then. But yeah. Drinks. And food.
I'll buy. Also, did you want a small levitation spell?
[He didn't snap back at her for calling him that. Yikes.]
no subject
[ And not just with people he randomly hooks up with. Really, he's met her in the dream from before showing up here, but did that count? And- hey! He didn't snap because... Just because he doesn't have the extra energy to be upset doesn't mean it's that bad. ]
I don't need help getting around. That's what the crutches are for.
[ He'll stubbornly be a 4-legged faun. ]
no subject
[Talk about sloppy!!! But then again, he's not used to needing to, so. She made a soft noise. Yeah, she'll get him something so he might perk up.]
It's a prop up. You'd still be getting around yourself, just with less chance or armpit bruises.
no subject
[ Especially with the whole dream thing, and when it was early enough that he thought this would all be relatively short-term. ]
Would it also lead to less chance of me building the strength back up in everything? I'd rather be uncomfortable now and get rid of these things faster.
[ Tired, but impatient. Naturally. ]
no subject
[Yeah, she's far more ready to know names for various reasons. It's just a habit, really. And he's being stubborn. She made a face, and rolled her shoulders in a shrug.]
For the short amount of time you'd have it? Not really. You'd be better off doing strengthening exercises a little at a time though, then forcing it all at once. They finally figured that out in the past century.
no subject
I've been doing both. Look, just don't waste your magic. I have to be able to get around the place on my own, anyway.
[ Judar, just stop automatically going the 'loner' route on things. It's stubbornly pathetic. ]
There's a bunch of things I should be getting used to without magic, anyway.
no subject
You're absolutely stubborn, but fine. I'll respect your wishes.
[Which while hey, stubborn loner route isn't great, she's used to that route, so.]
What sort of things are you doing without? Cooking?
[She already knows about the hair thing.]
no subject
I never really cooked in any capacity to begin with. Even when I was hungry and away from civilization, I'd be fine with just grabbing some fruit or something in the wild.
[ Pampered or just right off the vine with this one, apparently. ]
I mean, there's traveling in general. Being healed would've been done, with me back to full strength, in just a couple days at most. You already know what I did for my hair. I'd use different kinds of magic for when I played music, too. It was a bunch of different things.
no subject
Are you serious? Judar, are you a kid or what?
[She huffed, shaking her head. Either fed or eating it raw....yeesh.]
You should really take some classes or something...but yeesh. I understand what you mean, a little. The limits here are absolutely stifling sometimes.
It's not so much magic as it's learning a high level skill, like medicine.
no subject
[ And hey, at least it meant he knew what kind of things were okay to eat raw! He obviously managed to survive and make it to adulthood. ]
There's so many other things to learn and figure out. With all these stores that make and sell cooked food, learning to make my own isn't a high priority. There's only so much time in a day.
no subject
[But she supposed that was a pipe dream...]
But if you don't have access to a stove, that does make sense. Especially if you can't make your own bread. Or noodles.
What's your favorite food anyway?
no subject
[ He had a lot on his list of things to do before the kidnapping and connection to Dorchacht had been established. Both take up a good amount of time, and raise the difficulty on 'cooking' by... a lot. ]
... Honestly? I'm fine with just really good peaches. Some of the pastries with fruit in them here are pretty good, too.
no subject
[Like boiling eggs.]
Just the fruit, or with jam? Jam filled pastries are nice, especially when they've still a little warm.
no subject
[ So he likes sweet, but was more used to simple-sweet. Makes sense, for his kind of world. ]
no subject
But I understand. Hey, what about...honey drizzled things? Or other baked fruits?
no subject
[ Some places, it just really messes with the senses, or just tastes weirdly different. ]
You mean like apples? Yeah, those're good. Berries are good until you get to the more sour ones. Same with grapes.
no subject
Though baked apples...those are nice. Or maybe...
Actually thinking about it, you might like peaches and cream. Not too sweet, just sweet enough.
no subject
I mean, when they're more in season, I wouldn't object to those...
no subject
I'm sure you'll remember it.
no subject
[ He just had the benefit of living where people were maintaining them to always be in harvesting season and regrowing their stocks. ]
If it's different here, I wouldn't complain.
no subject
Depends on exporting and teleporting spells.
...though you know if you had some faun help and seeds and a way to rapidly mature a tree...
You could have your own. Maybe.
