I: Parliament

[There was a lot of listening on Sokie's part, which may have seemed unusual for those who Kew her. Usually she was chatty, filled with charm and wit- but in Parliament, she dressed in a formal business suit and took notes (and also doodled). In exiting a meeting, she paused outside of the building and took a few moments to stretch. Her butt felt sore for sitting still so long.]

My butt hurts. I guess this is why I've always turned down a desk job.

[She needed to do some yoga and have a run. And a bath.]

II: Radio Hour

[Anyone and everyone could call or text in, but Sokie would stay on voice since...well, she was on the morning hour with her radio advice show. Which was on right now, live.]

III: Teaching Magic

[She left a notice on te boards again. It wasn't good last month, by this time...maybe She could help some of the newbies learn their magic or how to counter it.

She asked them to meet at the entry of Haven, and after some introductions, things would move on from there. Well. She got to the point really.]

So, what do you want to learn today?

IV: A different kind of practice

[It was true she had a baton, but it was the kidnapping and speaking to Sephiroth that was a wake up call. Heck, she might have even been denying it, since the snow storm.

But she found a smithy and was going through the weapons, one by one, trying to find which would suit her best. So far, nothing really caught her eye but...she found one, and lightly twirled tin in one hand.]

It feels nicer but I think I need to put this through its paces.

V: A moment of quiet

[She was in a corner of a cafe, or maybe just in Diplomatea. As usual, there were books around her, papers of various formulae, but she seemed more interested in her tea or coffee then she was in her work. Seeing someone nearby, she made a beckoning motion with her hand.]

Don't worry, I can move my stuff. Why don't you come sit?

Yeah, the jam's okay too. It's a lot sweeter than what I usually would get, but I like it enough.

[ Some places, it just really messes with the senses, or just tastes weirdly different. ]

You mean like apples? Yeah, those're good. Berries are good until you get to the more sour ones. Same with grapes.

I mean, there is a baked dessert that is layers of pastries with honey drizzled on it.

Though baked apples...those are nice. Or maybe...

Actually thinking about it, you might like peaches and cream. Not too sweet, just sweet enough.

Well, without interference, they're usually a summer and fall type of thing.

[ He just had the benefit of living where people were maintaining them to always be in harvesting season and regrowing their stocks. ]

If it's different here, I wouldn't complain.

...though you know if you had some faun help and seeds and a way to rapidly mature a tree...

The trick with rapidly maturing is that there's other work that goes into the fruit tasting as good as it could. The tree could mature in a sickly manner if it's done too fast, or never fruit at all.

[ ... Judar, were you actually studying some faun stuff? Amazing. It's possible he looked into putting together his own peach trees or something. ]

[She's also amused at how he's been enticed to faun magic, with peaches.]

[ Hey, for all she knows, it was also for apples. (Depending on which is hardier around here.) ]

I like having easy things to grab and eat. If I'm limited to this stuff, I may as well take advantage of it.

I mean, fair. You can see about getting some nuts for protein too.

I haven't really had trouble with getting protein.

[ Do you really think he's malnourished? He'd say look at his abs, but it's cold, and he doesn't want to move layers around.

Besides, aside from the fun ways, he gets a little too much protein around the full moons. Faun stomachs, man. ]

Ah, no wonder your hair looks so soft.

[She knows what's up. She's with Everett at least once during a Full Moon.]

It's from more than just that.

[ It's probably because of him being so borderline feral, that on the moons he just... Crosses some lines that leave him sick with the idea of what he did.

But he's definitely not denying the other part of his diet. ]

Oh I'm sure. Cold water helps a lot.

[Yeah there were some weird benefits to nearly being feral. Not always. But soft hair was nice.]

Wouldn't know. I usually go warm.

[ Aside from a protein-rich diet, he just has the right genes for soft hair. Also, of course a faun would never cold water themselves. ]

It's better for your hair to smooth it that way.

Not for all of it, just like ten seconds at the end. I do that with mine.

[Her hair was wavey, but it was soft!!!]

Seems like a pain to suddenly start doing.

[ Yet your hair wasn't quite this wavy/wild back in the beginning months, Judar. It was thick, but considerably straighter. ]

You get used to it. Besides, I need to be careful with my hair, else this?

[She motioned to her wavey hair]

Turns into one big poof. That's why I keep it short.

I guess I get out of worrying about that because of how long my hair is. Instead there's just a lot.

[ And while pretty wavy, and easy to get those crossed with one another, or messy, he doesn't go full 'poof.' Maybe it'd get close to its own kind if it was actually pretty short. ]

It weighs enough that it might straighten because of how thick it is.

Would you want to cut your hair? Especially with summer coming up?

Guess I'm supposed to thank my parents for that or something, huh?

[ It sounds like a thing that'd be passed on- He wouldn't really know for sure. Save for some glimpses in what's essentially a photo, he didn't know those people. ]

No way. I cut my hair once my entire life, here, and only because I needed the extra boost in cunes for getting started. I've got no plans on cutting it again. At least this way it can all be tied back.

Eh. Bit of nature, bit of nurture. If you take care of it, if can give you an edge.

[So she's noticed over time. Though hearing that made her chuckle.]

Not even to thin it out a bit? Still long, still possible to tie it back?

Nope.

[ While he's got plenty of uneven hairs sticking out on top of his head, with the bangs, the braids he's used generally stay nice, smooth and even due to the length being relatively the same. ]

Not like I'd need to. If it causes troubles in the summer, magic can be used.
