[She's stunned that he's even doing this. There is a reason why she hasn't asked why he would and it probably make a bigger fuss.]

[ Good call. He probably would make a fuss about it and just get defensive about it. Really this is her fault for showing Vanitas some measure of kindness. ]

[She sits up quickly but gets dizzy in the process, pinching the bridge of her nose.]

[She feels like she's at the Coven again, screaming to do something after trying to scry for their lost comrades but getting nowhere. The feeling of being utterly useless gnawing away and Mira hates it. Because she knows if she stays still, much worse things will happen.]

Isn't it? You mean to tell me you're not just slightly obsessed with it after seeing what those people put the others through? You'll run yourself into the ground and for what?

[ Vanitas doesn't understand that, obviously. Doesn't understand the need to do everything in his power to help those that need it; to feel like there's his weigh on his shoulders that needs to be alleviated. ]

You've already done more than enough. So you're going to sit there. You're going to rest because clearly you don't have enough sense to stop.

It's not just that! While I am the type to honestly help someone in need, it is much worse if I am doing nothing.

[She grips on the chair's handles a little tighter.]

I've...never been able to simply let myself relax or rest. It is...hard for me to do so, usually dangerous.

Where is the danger now, Mira? The enemy was thwarted and those that were taken have returned here with the rest.

[ He leans a little, invading her space. Vanitas clicks his tongue. ]

Besides what would your friends say if they saw you are you are right now? Do you wish to worry them with your inability to know your limits?

[Kid, why are you doing this? Mira can't help but lean back because this is weird.]

I don't want to worry them but if I don't do something, I'll...end up finding another thing to do. And it usually is not a good thing.

It isn't just because of being a 'hero' of sorts but also it keeps me focused.

[ He... Doesn't know the answer to that himself. Why is he doing this? Why should it matter to him if Mira wants to be stupid enough to fall ill or get herself hurt? It would serve her right for not stopping even when her body protests. ]

[ He stands to his full height again. Vanitas isn't very tall but he is not some scrawny, awkward teenager. His hands go to his hips and a smirk spreads across his face. ]

I am. Come on. Surely you can manage it, right? After all I'm far weaker here than I normally am.

[That certainly sounds like a challenge and yet there's two sides to Mira that are arguing with as she slowly stands up to face Vanitas: one telling her that he is right and she needs to sleep in order to feel better and the other not backing down from a challenge. She's strong enough for this.

That's what she thinks at least as she bends one knee and rushes into Vanitas' shoulder with her own. The only problem is the amount of force didn't feel as much as normal. That...isn't her imagining things, right?]

[ Oh it isn't Mira imagining things at all. Her shoulder check doesn't even make Vanitas budge. ]

Hmm. I'd say nice try, but that would really be an insult that's below me.

[ Instead he steps to the side to catch her off balance. In the process, Van catches Mira's wrist. He spins her around and pins her hand to her back. ]

You're doing a pretty lousy job of convincing me of anything.

[That only gets a low hiss from her as she tries to wrestle her wrist out of his grip. She would tell him to shut it but she's more focused trying to sweep his leg from under him but there isn't much weight put behind it.

Mira's too stubborn to try and give up sometimes. And it's that same stubbornness why she is like this now. Proper thinking is going out the window as she just wants to simply make him move...and failing.]

[ Mira can struggle all she wants. Vanitas has a pretty good grip and another hand on her shoulder. From here it's pretty easy to move her the moment she starts getting fussy. ]

Stop fighting it, Mira. I've already got you on this.

[Not for long as she feels her grip going lax. She can still fight and move-!

[ Don't try to play too much with Vanitas. He can feel how her grip is starting to fail her. ]

[She's about to finish but he's right. She's losing her grip quicker as her knees give out and tumbles to the floor. But she honestly doesn't want to admit it. Her mind wishes not but her body can't right now. She's honestly spent as Mira just cannot move herself much now.]

[ Oh don't worry Mira. Vanitas really should just let her drop to the floor. Actions have consequences. However, he doesn't just let her crumple and potentially hurt herself. He's still supporting her. ]

Come again? I don't think I heard you. You have enough wait now?

[She's silent except for the breathing through her nose. Bloody hells, don't make her say it, Vanitas because she doesn't want to believe it herself. She doesn't want to give in and would keep on going if she could.

But in the end, Mira simply cannot. Her mortal body has limits and she's exhausted hers. She's not running around with the extra boosts given back on her stars anymore and yet that need is still there.]

[ Van makes a little "tch" noise. Not quite the words he had wanted to hear, but they will do. For now.

Hopefully Mira doesn't mind going back into that chair because that's exactly what is happening here. ]

Now that you've come to terms with that much... Stay down.

[She really can't protest right now even while being dragged back to the chair. Instead, she just tucks her knees to her chest and leans to the side like a child put in time out.]

[Might as well ask. Even though it probably is not the best but why was he adamant about her resting?]

[She hasn't seen him like this so much, not counting rescuing Emet-Selch so it does confuse her. Normally she is the one who seems to mother people, not the opposite.]

[ His face falls for a moment when she clarifies her question. Why is he being so insistent.

It's not like he actually cares, right? Right? ...But why would he not want her to fall on her face and exhaust herself? It's a poor question to ask him, Mira. Vanitas' mind is racing, looking for some sort of answer. An answer that makes sense to him, but he keeps coming up short.

Had Mira wanted to send him into something close to another panic attack? Because it's getting real close to that point. Especially since it also makes him begin to question the validity of his justifications for his prior actions. ]
