[Another one, huh...? She wonders how many of them made it home and back again this time. So far, the count is getting too high for her to be comfortable with, but at least it's made for some interesting reunions? And... first time run-ins, too?

Definitely more interesting than her first run here.

Ann's question draws a low laugh out of Lightning.]

Third time. I'm getting real good at this mirror traveling thing.

[ Third time? And she thought she had bad luck to wind up here twice. Then again, that was in no small part due to what was going on back home when she arrived here...but who can say being spirited away to another world ever happens at a convenient time? ]

I'm sorry, that must be really frustrating...you seem to be taking it stride, though.

[ Or if she's frustrated, she's good at hiding it. Ann takes a bite out of her cone — yes, she's already made it to the cone... ]

Yeah it is frustrating.

[And she isn't completely taking it in stride, but there's a time and a place for everything, and this is neither of those. She isn't going to take it lightly or sitting down, but right now, she isn't going to get very far. She's not going to get Ann involved in any of that, though.

So, she shrugs.]

Sometimes all we can do is take things like that in stride... 'til we find some answers.

[ One step at a time. It wasn't too different from their approach as Phantom Thieves, dealing with problems as the arose, because even their most well-laid plans had a habit of going awry. If she just approaches it the same here, then it'll at least feel more familiar. ]

Yeah, with how many Mirrorbound are here, it's only a matter of time before we make some real progress towards getting home.

Have things changed a lot since the first time you were here?

[She gestures around to the festival as a whole.]

There's a lot of shit happening outside the city walls, and people are still throwing parties like there isn't. Same old, same old.

[Ever the optimist, this one! Still, Lightning shrugs.]
