[OPEN] Buzzing energy, shaky circuitry
Who: Connor + open (I'll also put closed starters here if needed)
When: Through May!
Where: Aefenglom, the Wilde
What: Singing to lure in friends
Warnings: None yet!
May 7th (full moons); references 1, 2
[The sister moons are affecting Connor strongly tonight. He's restless in his pool- the coins littering the bottom do nothing to preoccupy him. There's nothing he can do but formulate a plan to get someone to come to him, because he's bored and lonely here.
Luckily, he has that magic at his fingertips. And like this, with the moons influencing him so heavily, he doesn't feel as guilty for using it. He starts to sing, his voice carrying unnaturally far, enticing anyone susceptible to come to him. And if he hears someone open the gate to his garden, or hears anyone climb the fence (as some Monsters do), he stops, blind eyes searching in the direction of the sound. He might flash his fins playfully, or suddenly dive under the water to pick up a coin and offer it to the newcomer as a token of friendship.]
Who are you?
[Might as well get to know his new friend. Or... old friend. Depends on who comes to see him. He's bound to the large pool of water though, unable to walk.]
(Open to 4th wall characters too!)

[As it is, going into standby mode serves no benefit usually, so he'd just be wasting his time. He could be exploring, or at least enjoying himself in the cave.]
no subject
[Don't mind Hank, he's not a robot and he's old, so the gears are turning in his head very slowly until;]
Maybe we could make you a sort of underground lair where you could stash your uh...shiny things. Then it would be sort of your little abode away from everything else?
no subject
[He scoots closer to Hank, leaning his head on his shoulder. His feet are in the water, but it doesn't seem to be enough to trigger his transformation; he's determined he needs to be around 50% submerged for it to start. Which he supposes makes sense. Sort of.]
Somewhere to hide would be... nice.
[He wonders if he could decorate the inside of the lair like a room of sorts...]
no subject
[He lets Connor lean on him, even as he's planning it out.]
I've been meaning to take my fire to the next level anyway. Maybe I can heat up sand high enough and turn it into glass. Need to research what won't turn to shit with water around it, y'know?
[Hank does want to make it perfect. Because, you know, it's Connor. Not that he'd say that.]
no subject
[He takes Hank's hand, comfortable sitting with him like this.]
But you know... fish do enjoy having dark places to hide away. And I'm not sure there are places to get giant aquarium ornaments for Merrows, so... a cave of sorts might make more sense.
[Though Connor would absolutely hide away in a giant fake pot if he had the option.]
no subject
Heh. Well I didn't think of it as an aquarium...more like places where I could install windows.
[Like an underground house.]

I'm happy as long as I have somewhere to swim... so if you want to make changes, I'm fine with it. Maybe I'll get you to swim with me more often, too.
[Sure he can invite his Merrow friends over, but he wants to swim with Hank.]
Maybe you could add a shallow pool to sit and drink your beers in when it gets hot.
[The few beers Connor allows him, that is.]
no subject
beersbeers.]Yeah I've been working on that spell so I can have oxygen while I breathe. Last time I tried tho, I turned Sumo into a seal.
[Attempts at magic! Not perfect but also hilarious.]
Oh so you want me to get one of those little pink floaties, and get a tan too?
no subject
[He smiles slightly.]
You're the only Bonded I have that I enjoy kissing, so an extra excuse is always nice.
[He can only pass on underwater breathing to Bonded, after all.]
If you get one, just be aware that I'm probably going to be tempted to push you off it.
no subject
[Also good thing he doesn't kiss Akira he supposes?]
Well I'm glad to get the recognition I deserve.
[Hmmmm.]
Hmmm...guess I may need a bigger boat then. [Grin.] It's a movie joke.
no subject
[Swim, Hank. His eyebrows twitch upwards briefly at the movie reference that he predictably doesn't understand, and he hums to himself.]
I wish I could have watched some movies with you back home. Then I would understand your jokes.
[Whether he'd find them funny or not is another story.]
no subject
[He laughs, however.]
It's just easier when you have a cheat code on.
[The thought also causes Hank to ponder about it.]
Maybe...maybe we can do that if we ever go back home. Otherwise honestly, it's not a huge loss.
no subject
[Connor shifts to trail his fingers gently over Hank's jaw.]
I don't even know if I consider it home anymore. I've lived in Aefenglom far longer than I lived in Detroit. And here... people actually think I'm interesting for being an android. I'm not just plastic here.
[He does consider it, though.]
...I think I'd only want to go back if you did. I don't know what I'd do here without you.
no subject
[Connor you're not helping him think right now.]
Yeah I can understand that. Well uh, as long as it doesn't cause some sort of time anomaly in our world. Shit, can you imagine if both of us disappeared after we hugged and we never came back?
[Not that Hank has that many friends but he wonders what Jeffery would think. Wow, now that's an even more loaded comment.]
Well it's not like we have a choice right now, so we're gonna make the best of what we have here, right?
no subject
[He tries to lighten the mood a little, despite having worried himself with that comment on what he'd do if Hank left. He reminds himself that he has Hank now, and comforts himself by squeezing the hand in his.]
Right. We're happy now, that's what matters.
[Planning a future in Aefenglom is hard, but Connor wants to believe this won't end the same way things did with Justine and the SQUIP. He presses a kiss to Hank's shoulder, then smiles up at him.]
Hey... you know you're the most important person to me, right?
no subject
[That's his excuse for staying.]
Yeah. I just think of it like an extended vaction.
[Hank still has a hard time admitting that type of feeling, but it does feel pretty great to think Connor thinks of him that way. He's gonna brush it off with another joke of course.]
When you say stuff like that, I question if they programmed you correctly at all.
no subject
[Though it's hard for him to say he loves Hank yet. Not because Hank doesn't deserve it, but because he's scared to accept it. What if he finally says it out loud and Hank disappears like the others?]
no subject
Geeze Connor. [Wait was that a small burst of fear? Eh probably not that wouldn't make sense.] Alright, alright, you've made your point.
It is nice, ain't it...
no subject
[He goes silent for a moment, then sits up straighter.]
Come swim with me?
[He's already unbuttoning his shirt, looking at Hank expectantly.]
