[OPEN] Buzzing energy, shaky circuitry
Who: Connor + open (I'll also put closed starters here if needed)
When: Through May!
Where: Aefenglom, the Wilde
What: Singing to lure in friends
Warnings: None yet!
May 7th (full moons); references 1, 2
[The sister moons are affecting Connor strongly tonight. He's restless in his pool- the coins littering the bottom do nothing to preoccupy him. There's nothing he can do but formulate a plan to get someone to come to him, because he's bored and lonely here.
Luckily, he has that magic at his fingertips. And like this, with the moons influencing him so heavily, he doesn't feel as guilty for using it. He starts to sing, his voice carrying unnaturally far, enticing anyone susceptible to come to him. And if he hears someone open the gate to his garden, or hears anyone climb the fence (as some Monsters do), he stops, blind eyes searching in the direction of the sound. He might flash his fins playfully, or suddenly dive under the water to pick up a coin and offer it to the newcomer as a token of friendship.]
Who are you?
[Might as well get to know his new friend. Or... old friend. Depends on who comes to see him. He's bound to the large pool of water though, unable to walk.]
(Open to 4th wall characters too!)

some 4th wall coming for you
[Blue eyes look down into the pool. Scanning the shape within.]
You're an RK800 unit. ...With heavy modification.
[Modifications that are unknown, which seem unusually biological. But it's not impossible.]
You were supposed to be deactivated.
laughs
Connor withdraws the coin he was offering and squints at the voice. It's his own, a perfect imitation. He would assume magic was at play here, but not many people here know his model. L, maybe? Is this some half-assed revenge for tricking him with Myr's voice?]
Deactivated? Who are you?
[He asks it again, more insistently.]
no subject
[Obviously?? He looks impassively down at the mer-android.]
I'm an RK900 unit. The latest model created by CyberLife.

It's not until she's crouched by the pool, and a smooth coin is placed in her hand that she blinks, realized that she'd walked all the way here.]
It's... [She shakes her head again, clearing her thoughts.] It's Allura, Connor. [Just in case he doesn't recognize her voice.]
no subject
Allura. I'm glad you came to join me.
[Whether willingly or not.]
I was lonely, so I thought I'd draw in some company. You don't mind, I hope.

[She says, still shaking out of her daze. Once she does, she reflexively reaches for the crown on her forehead - just to be sure it's still there. It's quite shiny and Lance has a particularly difficult time resisting touching it when his merrow form is getting the better of him.
But it's still there, and she sighs in relief.]
Was that magic? I felt like I was dreaming.

He finds Connor, in his monster form, dipped in a pool. Stunned into silence, he slowly accepts the coin given to him. ]
... I'm Wataru. We met a few times. Talked about, uh... dogs?
[ This is yet another surreal experience to him. ]
no subject
[He smiles to hear a familiar name.]
I can't see you right now, I'm afraid. But I know your voice.
[An explanation for why he didn't recognise him on sight.]
no subject
[ It's no one's fault but he still feels the need to apologize for not recognizing the fact Connor is blind right now-
Wait. ]
You can't see? Does this form make you blind or...?

Anyway, that singing has him frowning softly. While he doesn't feel outright enticed or entranced or anything like it, he is far too curious to ignore it. So he immediately heads that way, only to find himself... stuck... at the gate.
. . . Knock knock. ]
May I come in?
no subject
Of course, Akira.
[He waits by the edge of his pool, blind eyes looking expectantly towards the general area he knows the gate is.]
no subject
There's a very brief pause as he studies Connor's face - namely, his eyes. Hmmm... ]

Early on the full moon - cause she's munching someone later
What was fine was the gnawing inside her stomach or the occasional small grumble it made. She should have been eating too much to be hungry and yet. She was.
But fae liked song, as proven during Boaltinn. A thing that still annoyed her a little, she'd known she'd leap and danced around a bit, getting drunk of the air. But it still draws her in. She takes the more direct route going over the fence. Staring once she realises who it is. Antenna giving him a flick as she wanders around, keeping her distance from the pool itself.]

I heard someone...

But Mikasa just peered at him. Still keeping away from the damp. ]
...I heard you.
[And slowly, her antenna flicked forward. It was safe here. Just...wet...]

That's a good look on you.
[If the voice alone isn't enough to identify him, Niles saunters over to the pool, click of hooves and the sound of his tail swishing over the tile as he sits down beside Connor.]
no subject
[Connor sounds pleased to hear his voice, and starts to splash around in the water a little, flashing off his fins. He comes close to the edge of the pool as he hears him approach, blindly looking up where he assumes his face is, smiling wide enough to show off his needle-sharp teeth.]
You came to see me.

Ahh. Yu Narukami. Nice to meet you.
[He tries to take the coin but it slips in the grip of his talons.]
I just wanted to listen to your song, it helped me calm down a little. I hope that's okay...
no subject
[He hears the coin clatter between Yu’s talons and tries to find it on the tiles. Easier said than done when you’re blind.]
I’m glad it helped you. My name is Connor.
[He finds the coin and offers it up again.]
The full moons can be a problem for Monsters like us. Especially this one...
[He doesn’t know why he feels so restless tonight, but he does.]

I heard u like 4thwall.
The gate opened with a creak and he made his way inside, stopping short once he saw...well...he wasn't entirely sure what he saw. Connor but not Connor at the same time.
The marketplace was a small taste of what the new world had to offer. Though it showed some of the strange creatures and objects at a distance, this seemed particularly jarring since it was someone he was familiar with. ]
I... [ He can't quite get out his own name. ]
...Connor?
i sure do
Hello Markus.
[He swims to the edge of the pool and hoists himself up and onto the edge, sitting with his tail dipped in the water. Like this, his inhuman form is clearly visible.]
I’m sorry if I disturbed you. I wanted some company.

It immediately strikes him as odd, since 'flaky' isn't a word he'd think to use to describe Connor. It also doesn't take long for him to figure out why Connor isn't singing anymore. The sight of Connor curled up at the bottom of his pool is an alarming one even without it being immediately apparent why. He should probably get his attention, but Akechi's not dumb enough to blindly splash around in a Merrow's private haunt on a full moon.
Good thing he's a Witch. Akechi steps back from the pool and focuses, and a moment later he has a fist-sized hunk of ice in hand. He tosses at the edge of the pool, watches as it briefly sinks before rebounding to bob along the surface. There. That should get Connor's attention with minimal risk of Akechi being drowned. ]

His LED is stuck on red, and it’s obvious why. His ear fins have been shredded from the base, all the way out to the outer rim. Blue blood oozes from them, and Connor can feel it dripping down his face.
Now blind again thanks to being above water, he finds he feels uncomfortable and lowers himself back in just enough to be able to see again.]
Who is it?

WILDCARDIN'
Except the hammock was taken by one(1) oversized large, slobbering dog so he was just hanging by the pool instead.]
Y'know, we should find a way to enlarge it somehow...maybe keep part of it in better shade so it doesn't feel like a sauna when I stick my feet in.
no subject
[Connor wouldn't say no to an enlarged pool, despite it being pretty damn big already.]
A canopy would keep part of it shaded... though I'll admit, I prefer the warmer water.
[But the pool, while technically for him, should be enjoyed by everyone.]
