Sora was fine at home just before and then the next thing he knew he was taking off down the street towards this place. He doesn't really have any other answers why he's acting like this either. Just that he was anxious to feel safe.

He fusses. And stares a little at Vanitas.]

[ Sora. Stop fussing. It's making Vanitas' own stomach do odd flips. He doesn't like that feeling. Doesn't like it at all.

Then the other is staring at him. Asking him if he can stay. There's plenty of room, of course. Van never takes up the full bed anyway. Still, he sighs and rubs at his face. He should say no. Make Sora go away. ]

[ ...If it means that anxiety will go away. ]

[Vanitas said fine! Sora perks up at the note and he shuffles to get up off the floor and motions for Vanitas to scoot over so he can slide in.

It seems that sharing a bed a second time is in the cards.]

Okay!

[ Of course Vanitas grumbles a bit. He does comply to those silent demands, making something of a show of it. ]

[Sora is grinning a little with that. He shuffles and climbs into the blankets and sheets and wiggles into the spot next to Vanitas. They're close again and Sora can feel the gentle stream of magic between their bond but he's careful not to touch this time.]

You're not sorry at all though. Not even one slightest bit.

[ Okay but when is Sora not wiggly? He's so high energy almost all the time! Honestly, though, Van is surprised by the kid's restraint. Last time he had been all about touching somewhat.

Weird that he'd think about that now. Van huffs and puts his hands behind his head. ]

[He'd rather not give Vanitas another panic attack?! Sora isn't about to forget that first night where that happened and repeat the incident again. But he does like being warm so he's still squirmy.]

[Sora grins at the note as turns and curls up on his side to face Vanitas. Yes, he is a little energetic monkey! He won't deny it.]

Hmmm. I dunno, I guess I could of tried seeing if Elliot or Yuma were around. They're some new friends I've met. They're really nice!

[Yuma probably would have liked the company too, he seems sad a lot.]

Making friends here already, hmm? [ Another scoff, though there is nothing really mean about it. ] Guess I shouldn't be surprised. You do make friends wherever you go.

[ The worlds must really love Sora. In fact, people in general seem to adore the kid. Vanitas reflects on this, wondering what it must be about the brat that makes this so. There's nothing really all that special about him.

Yet... And yet out of all of the guardians, Sora is the only one that Vanitas doesn't exactly mind overmuch. ]

[Sora presses his lips together for a moment before he lets out a tiny easy laugh again. Making friends has always been something easy that he does. It must be the extroverted part of him or something.]

Don't geeze me. You've made a lot of friends here too, you know. Maybe people like you more than you think, too.

[Don't think Sora hasn't noticed just how many people thought Sora was Vanitas on his first few days. Not to mention how much Mira seemed to care and all the rest.]

...They aren't my friends.

[ Immediately shooting that one down. For various reasons. One, because Vanitas doesn't do friends. Two, some of them are just allies and therefore of course he is going to get to know them. Three, he can't stop himself from harassing people when the opportunity is given.

However he is still surprised that his presence is tolerated even when he is in he company of someone that's annoyed by him like Rose. But c'mon... People don't like him.

Most importantly? He's never had a friend so he doesn't know when people are friends. ]

I've been here for a while. Of course I'm going to know people.

[Sora about gives him a look before one hand comes out to gently poke Vanitas in the arm. Boop. If Vanitas keeps telling himself those sorts of things he's never gonna really see what it feels like to have a real friend. Friendship is imperative to everyone. They're special and important and Vanitas should have them too.]

There's no one you know that you like talking to? That you ask questions when you need them? People that make you laugh or don't mind being around?

[Think about it, Vanitas!]

I could tolerate being around the entire Organization, Sora. That doesn't mean that any of them were my friends.

[ Because tolerate = don't mind being around is kind of the same thing in his mind? He rolls his eyes, even with Sora poking at him. ]

And I ask everyone questions because I like to be informed. Whatever I can learn about someone can be used later, if necessary.

[Sora SWEATDROPS.]

That's not the same thing! I meant are there people you like being around. Ones that you like spending some of your time with.

[It's not the same as dicking around with jerks from Organization XIII! Does anyone actually like doing that? No! Not even the Organization members like hanging out together.]

And learning about someone just for the sake of learning about them is nice too, you know. Not because you wanna use the information later or something.

[Vanitas, you weirdo.]

[ He isn't going to admit that he's asked the old man about Amaurot because, well, it had actually distracted Emet-Selch to do so. Or, you know, the fact that he had visited Marie in her home just to play a word game and have sweets. Because that's awfully incriminating, isn't it? ]

I mean obviously I must not mind having you around because I did say you could stay. Again. Against my better judgment.

Hmm! Yep! So, we're friends then. Right?

[Sora's eyes light up.]

[ Wait. What? WHAT? ]

I never said that I liked you though.

[Admit it, Vanitas! Admit it!]

[ Vanitas sits up and scoffs. He looks down at Sora and just continues to be puzzled by this kid. ]

No. I don't!

[Sora laughs and wiggles in his spot, taking that tsundere moment as enough for him right now.]

Uh-huh!

I don't!

[ Watch it, Sora. Vanitas is now going in for the kill. Or at least a tackle. ]

Wah?!

[Sora yelps out loudly when he's tackled! Taken by complete surprise! All he can do in for the first moment is yelp!]
