[ Ienzo reaches for a pistachio this time, though he doesn't pop it in his mouth just yet. ]

Just that I'm more of a scholar than an adventurer.

[ He offers an apologetic smile.]

Ah pardon me Tataru, I'm simply thinking aloud- what world are you from? If you don't mind my asking.

I see.

_{[That's valid. She's more of a receptionist than an adventurer and yet she keeps being dragged into shenanigans. The more she thinks about it this is pretty par for the course.]}

I don't mind at all. I come from a world called Hydaelyn. To get into specifics I'm from Eorzea, which is a realm that is part of the continent of Aldenard.

[ Ienzo nods at Tataru's explanation, taking the time to eat the almond he's still holding. ]

Your world certainly sounds vast...

[ He's a little in awe to be honest; continents? Radiant Garden doesn't have much of a comparison! ]

Quite. Planets usually tend to be though.

[ Ienzo blinks at Tataru for a moment as his brain seems to be processing something. Then, softly: ]

Worlds can be planets?

...Aren't they usually?

What would your definition be of one?

[ Ienzo stares for a moment, looking as though his mind has been opened in a weird sort of way. ]

I, well. The worlds I'm familiar with, I'd say they resemble islands more than planets.

[ He slips into thought for a moment, pancake seemingly forgotten. ]

I suppose my own home was once much larger but, I unfortunately don't remember it being that way...

More islands than planets...I see.

It's hard to fathom such a thing, but I suppose for you it makes perfect sense.

[ Ienzo starts a bit, turning to find a slim looking man clad in a long white robe focused on him. The strangers appearance is oddly comforting, in a way Ienzo's unsure how to put into words.]

Not particularly, just...heh, did it appear obvious I don't get out much?

[ So, a casual speaker. He's not surprised by that, only that he has to adjust his manner to compensate. Raemiel tilts his head - it's a nod, but easily missed. ]

If you seek something then be forward about it.

[ It seems like he's saying it more as advice. ]

Are you foreign to these lands?

You're not wrong in either sense. I arrived here recently.

[ He turns to face Raemiel fully. ]

[ Ienzo isn't reacting too adversely to his blunt manner, so that's a plus. ]

[ He seems more purposeful if only from years of staking out new places. ]

[ Ienzo nods slowly. If you put it like that, well. It doesn't sound quite so difficult to join in. ]

True enough, the atmosphere is certainly amiable...

[ He looks at his impromptu company for a moment, appearing thoughtful. ]

Are you curious too? About the festivities.

[ It's kind of a 'yes'. Ienzo will have to get used to Raemiel's at-times roundabout way of speaking. ]

Come then.

[ He starts walking towards the bonfire. Good thing he has his cloak on, the heat wouldn't hit him directly. Seems like he expects Ienzo to follow him. ]

I cannot argue with that reasoning.

[ The more understanding the better, in Ienzo opinion. At the invitation-or, command? Ienzo hesitates briefly. Though he decides quickly there's no harm in accompanying him into the crowd.]

Oh. I'm Ienzo, by the way- what was your name?

Raemiel.

[ A simple one-word name, bereft of title or bloodline. That's how he presents himself here, someone with little attachment. His words may seem rude, without even as much as a 'nice to meet you', but the absence of superiority or any significant tone has an opposite effect. ]

Flames were believed to have cleansing properties. You know of what transpired days before? Then this festival could draw the people's minds away from such dark things.

[ Had he met her first, Ienzo might've been taken aback by her draconian features. But talking to Ven had eased most of his uncertainty regarding monsters. For now anyway. Speaking of Ven, Aqua's mention of him has him blinking in surprise. ]

You think so?

[ That's a nice thought. Truly. And that in itself is surprising. Though Ienzo doesn't dwell on the pleasantness that brings him for long.]

Two months... hm, from my perspective it was roughly a year since we last spoke.

[lightblooming]

A year? [ Aqua's eyes widen. ... So, much like how Ven was from her past, Ienzo was from a time that would be the her future. ]

Ienzo, the fight with Xehanort and the Organization only just ended a little while ago for myself.

[ This world - one really has to expect the unexpected. ]

[ Ienzo's eyes widen at that. ]

Curious... I've heard theories of time passing at different rates between worlds but.

[ Well, seeing it in action was something else entirely. Something else and quite disorientating. ]

Curious... [ he mumbles, before straightening up again. ] How have you been managing these past few months?

Kairi and I have been alright.

[ Aqua is managing, all things considering. ... And Kairi - Aqua knows that she'll be happy to see Sora and Riku here and safe. ]

But, the last couple of months have been difficult for Ven.

[ He frowns at that, hesitating for a moment before speaking. ]

I, don't wish to sound tactless but. Would it have anything to do with the scarring on his face and neck?

[ The words are slow, careful. Like he wants to know the answer but doubts whether its his place to inquire to begin with. ]

... It's alright, Ienzo. [ She doesn't think he sounded tactless. ]

It's up to Ven to tell you more, but -- it is.

Yes, of course.

[ He offers a sad sort of smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. ]

I hope he's had somewhere he can recover.

He has. Our home here--it's safe.

[ Aqua feels a little helpless, though she doesn't say it out loud. She... hasn't been able to protect him. ]

Ienzo, will you be staying with us?
