One Brings Shadow, One Brings the Light
Who: K'rihnn Tia and all of you!
When: February 1st - 13th
Where: Aefenglom's library, tea shop, and somewhere in the city proper.
What: K'rihnn's trying to get out more, and hopefully expand his friend circle from being extremely tiny to something... decent? Maybe? Info on K'rihnn's current changes as a Monster.
Warnings: Old injuries, major spoilers for Shadowbringers in marked top levels! Others will be added to the subject line as needed.
A: It’s Too Tall!
[K’rihnn is well enough to venture outside of the house unattended, though he still has to be careful to not push himself too hard. And to be more careful of his surroundings, as his right eye is still covered with gauze. At this time, he can be found in either the library or the local tea shop. In either scenario, the 5-foot tall Dragon / Miqo’te is facing down his greatest enemy yet. An enemy he hasn’t ever been able to conquer.
The top shelf.
He sighs and looks around. Once he sees someone who could maybe help him out, the purple-haired Miqo’te quietly and shyly asks:]
U-um… e-excuse me… do you have a moment…?
B:
[With Valentione’s Day coming up rather quickly, he decides he needs to make a stop at a local chocolatiering place. K’rihnn’s in need of equipment so that he can make chocolate at home, and he especially needs molds for cute shapes. Unfortunately, his load is a little heavier than he can carry. The purple-haired Miqo’te tries to make his way back on his own, but he needs to rest almost a quarter of the way towards home.
K’rihnn sits at a bench and tries to catch his breath, rubbing at his chest to help ease the pain some. This… is definitely going to be a long trek back.
On seeing that he’s not alone, he can’t help apologizing.]
Ah… m-my apologies if I’ve disturbed you….
C: Wildcard
[Would you rather have a different starter? Go ahead and throw something at me! Common haunts tend to be the library, patrolling the city, and various tea or music shops.]

If it’s such a simple matter, then there should be no issue with me taking over.
[She gently taps K’rihnn out of the way, taking over. Sure, her last kitchen venture ended in fire, but this can’t be too hard, right?]
Sit.
that's a big mood
Ah... a-alright. You just need to fill each one up to about halfway, and then put them in the oven.
[That said, the purple-haired Seeker goes to sit at the table. His tail twitches nervously.]
Um... thank you, Rose.

Cursed things...
[It’s fine. Probably. She sighs.]
For what? This hardly seems like a task worth thanking somebody for.

He fidgets with his hair at the question.]
Cooking and baking are... important to me. It helps to center myself, and bond with people. So... to me, the help is worthy of thanks.

[Rose can only sigh. What is it with the people here and being overly apologetic and grateful? It makes her uncomfortable. Sarcasm doesn’t seem appropriate here, and she isn’t sure how to respond.]
It’s impressive, you know. That you can bake like this. The last time I tried, I nearly sat my house on fire.
no subject
Ah... Mayhaps you just didn't have a patient teacher?
[He's trying to give Rose the benefit of the doubt. Probably to everyone's misfortune, but it's fine.]
I learned from my mother when I was a child, and... well, later, I decided to join the Culinarian's Guild. I wanted to improve those skills, and expand my repertoire of recipes in the process.
[... This might be the most he's spoken to Rose.]
no subject
Perhaps. My sister tried to teach me, but she's far from patient.
[Is one way of putting it.]
I think after the fire incident, my mother was content to keep both of us out of the kitchen for the rest of our lives. No Culinarian's Guild for me.
[She pauses.]
It sounds like it was nice.

I'm... almost afraid to ask about that story.
[Yet, K'rihnn says that with gentle humor in his tone.]
'Twas a good experience for me, I think. I didn't have to talk much. I could just let my food talk for me. But... most importantly, 'twas... good to be treated like your average Miqo'te instead of the Warrior of Light. The moment I put on my uniform, 'twas like I was a different person to them. They didn't think I'd join a craftsman's guild.
[It's a good chance to relax and feel like a normal person instead of Eorzea's hero. Plus, when thing got overwhelming, it gave him a great outlet for that energy.
The downside is that there had been a lot of cooking and baking after Amaurot. The pent-up stress was real.]
Hm... mayhaps... if we have time in our schedules, I could teach you some simple recipes? I-if you're interested.
no subject
That sounds lovely. I may have to consider that, if I ever find my way home. Something to get me out of the field.
[Literally anything that didn’t involve almost dying would be nice.]
I would appreciate that. I think I can avoid catching anything on fire this time.
[Speaking of, does it smell like something is burning?]
