Oh, no. I can make an attempt right now. It's... actually good that I put some magic to practice, since I'm not bonded.

[ He explains that with some bit of embarrassment, holding the violin-shaped turnip in his palm and trying to concentrate the element of ice around it. His hand starts feeling chiller afterwards. ]

What do you mean you are not Bonded? Is it not especially dangerous when you are a Witch?

[ He kind of knew that question would come up, and obviously it brings even more embarrassment, but he won't blame her for it as there's a lot of warranted attention to the fact he didn't find a partner yet. ]

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I just... don't feel comfortable enough to bond with someone yet, since I didn't establish anything solid with anyone yet.

[This was understandable. Marie was lucky enough to have people she knows and trusts with her in Aefenglom so becoming Bonded was hardly an issue. And even if she did not know anyone here, with her personality she would not have trouble finding someone to Bond. But it must have been hard for most people, especially those who came here alone]

But you do have some friends you could get Bonded to in an emergency, right? It would be bad if you got to the point of, uh... exploding...

I could ask a couple people I've met here, but I'm not sure whether or not they already exceeded the amount of bonds they're allowed to have.

I do not think anyone would take it the wrong way. It is normal to seek a Bond in Aefenglom.

[She nods and picks another vegetable for carving as well, Aefenglom’s smallest turnip-violin tucked safely into her pockets. They did spend a long time on this one little carving, didn’t they? Either way, Marie had fun. She hoped it was the same for Wataru. Now, to do something with the rest of the turnips before sunset...]
