[ Well after a year being here, it is to be expected right? Vanitas has had such good, positive influences in his life upon arrival. He obviously had struggled with so many things for such a long while. It takes time to come to terms with oneself and fighting himself over everything that he had come to learn versus everything that he had thought was true prior. A shifting of paradigms, thoughts, and feelings. Ideals and beliefs.

So yes. He is also rather fond of the life that he has built here. Van likes what he has gained. ]

I... Am too. [ It is still hard for him to verbalize such sentiments without being embarrassed ] It’s not a bad life. .

[Sora adores every single bit of it. Being able to see Vanitas change and grow into his own person, seeing things in a new way. That's the Vanitas that he fell for. This boy that decided to pick what he wanted to be, learnt how he wanted to see things and grew from it all.

He knows he has this deep-rooted feeling for Vanitas that he needs to say. Something that's grown over their time together here. Karin said he shouldn't' wait before it's too late but Sora is just waiting for a good time to say it. Blame it on his sappy romantic side, after all.]

But we need more blankets. [Sora jokes, laughing again.] Or maybe just some baking tools for me. I wanna make bread or something.

[ This time it's Vanitas that is giving Sora a bite to the collarbone. Blankets... ]

I said one and only one. You're little puppy eyes don't actually work on me.

[ He sticks his tongue out at the other teen, huffing. Then Vanitas just curls up a little more. This is actually pretty comfortable. ]

There's plenty of baking stuff. Mira has been showing me how to cook things, remember?

[ Additionally, Vanitas knows that there is some emotion within Sora that's not being shared. He doesn't really have a name for it, but know that he feels it himself. It's... Well it's a little hard on him still, coming to terms with the fact that there is, indeed, someone that he'd do just about anything for - even kill. Though that's not much of a stretch for Vanitas, hmm?

He's always thought that to be a weakness; being fond of someone and caring for them would expose you. It would give someone the means to hurt you. And it's true. Vanitas hasn't really changed when it comes to that. But at the same time... How can he not want this? ]

Ouch!

[Sora pretends to be hurt, making a dramatic chitter noise before he laughs again. He wiggles against the other boy and tugs him close.]

Oh, yeah! Well, I don't want to get into her things if I can get my own too.

[Sora hums.]

Or does that mean you'll do some baking for me instead?

[ Close enough that he can tuck his nose into Sora's neck. Then maybe wrap arms around the other's waist. ]

That's a waste. There's no her things and your things when it comes to items that are meant to be shared across a household.

[ This is a thing that he has learned! But being asked to bake something... Van curls up a little more against Sora. ]

...Suppose I could.

[He has to admit that cuddly Vanitas is one of his most favourite moods that Vanitas can have. Sora's in bliss as he curls around the other too. His ears twitch as he inhales softly at their mingling scents.]

Like a family!

[Sora laughs softly with a gentle rumble.]

Let's make fresh bread together in the morning.

[ Look... This is entirely Sora's fault. There is no one that can even be blamed for more cuddles. Sora is the one that got him used to being touched. Sora is the one that put that little bug in him that touch could be a good thing. That it can bring the safety and security that he's lacked nearly his entire life. ]

Well... Yeah. S'what she is.

[ And not hiding his face in that neck at all, nope. Not blushing like mad! ]

[He'll happily accept all the fault for giving Vanitas a cuddly side. He benefits from it too so he's one happy rabbit. Feeling Vanitas' warmth close to his body is one of the best feelings of being with him. His witch and his ember-y smells.

Vanitas is... adorable. He almost says that out loud. Almost.]

I know. I'm glad she's here with us too.

[ Vanitas is so not adorable. Not one bit. Even curled up against Sora as he is, he's not adorable! ]

...Yeah, me too.

[ His feelings for Mira are also strong. It's a different sort of strong. Different sort of affection. She's easily one of the people that Vanitas would also probably kill a man for. ]

[Debatable... Sora has one curled up Vanitas against his body and neck and he thinks that is, indeed, adorable.]

Bet you're happy to have us all under one roof then.

[He really should've moved in earlier.]

[ Yeah well. Sora can keep that opinion to himself for the time being. Vanitas just calls this being comfortable. And maybe hogging up Sora’s attention and affection.

He gives the question some thought, humming against Sora’s neck. ]

Everything that’s mine in one place? Yes, I think that I am.

[ And now he does know what it is like to be happy. ]

[Luckily he's keen enough not to say so out loud unless he's purposefully making the effort to tease or embarrass his witch.

Although he almost does when the little hum against his neck makes him shiver softly.]

You sound happy, Vanitas.

[Which in turn makes Sora very happy.]

[ Once more he falls silent against Sora. Just quietly thinking about that statement. Letting his emotions just kind of float back and forth between them. He'll allow for Sora to feel the warmth and contentment that he has at the moment. Just kind of blanket them both. ]

I am and I've come to find that I don't exactly hate it. It's different than what I expected.

It isn't so bad, huh.

[Sora lets out a small soft laugh. He lets himself enjoy that washing feeling of warmth over his senses and nerves. He's always had connections in his life but nothing quite compares to feeling this sort of connection. Their unique bond and Vanitas' blanketing ember-y contentment makes his skin tingle pleasantly.]

You've always deserved it, you know.

[Just a gentle reminder.]

[ A gentle reminder that shakes him a little still. Yes, a part of him certainly knows that he's always deserved it. There are too many people in his life now that's told him this for it to not be somewhat true. However, it's still something that Vanitas struggles with.

He had always wanted to be whole and complete. Something like happiness hadn't even been considered. He hadn't known what it was. It has always been something that he had been taught not to seek. Now that he more or less has this on various levels.

Sometimes it's just hard for him to accept that this can be his life. Vanitas always feels like he's waiting for the shoe to fall. ]

...Maybe.

[Sora answers quickly, easily, with a puff of breath. He turns to curl Vanitas close to him bringing his lips right to Vanitas' cheek to blow an annoying raspberry on his skin. Pfffft !!]

No maybes!!

[ His little sound of protest turns into something like a yelp, a laugh, and a cry of disgust. Don't ask him how he manages to get all three in while Sora blows that raspberry.

Soft, quiet time ruined! ]

Sora!

[ Might be moving to try to get away for now. ]

[Soft moment ruined for something a lot more playful!! Sora relentlessly attacks Vanitas' cheek with his puffy lips. Muah!]

You can't get away from me!

[He's gathering Vanita up as much as he can, relentlessly attack his cheeks with so many more kisses.]

Noooo! [ Was that a whine!? It almost sounds like one as Van is starting to shove at Sora's face. ] Stop! Sora!

[ Going to wiggle free and try to make his way off of the bed! ...And probably fall off of it in the process oops? ]

[Sora is just a fit of giggles as soon as Vanitas starts to struggle and make some interesting noises! He tickles and almost grabs at Vanitas when- Whump! Down he goes off the bed!]

Vanitas!!

[Sorry, his cheeks are pink with affection and he's laughing. He peeks over the edge of the bed with a grin.]

Are you okay?!

[ At the moment he's just kind of sprawled out on the floor. No big deal, right? Just flushed and trying to catch his breath. He hasn't even made an attempt to get up. ]

Fine! Peachy! Just had this annoying rabbit kick me out of bed!

[It only makes Sora burst into more laughter. He watches Vanitas victoriously from the bed with a happy air about him. Then he finally reaches a hand out to help.]

Better get up and try try again!

Mmmnope.

[ He shifts about on the floor for a moment. Then reaches under the bed and snatches a blanket up. Vantias then curls around the blanket and wraps himself up in it. ]

I'll just stay here.

Hey!! That's not fair!

[Sora tries to give the other boy a rather unsatisfied pout. He can't reach the blanket from here to tug it!]

Come back here!

[ Van rolls only enough for Sora to see his head peeking out of the blanket. He sticks out his tongue at the other. ]

Come get me then.

[ As if he is going to make it easy on the other! ]
