Who: Soundwave and Saber
When: Beginning of Septeril
Where: Saber's residence
What: Talking, exchanging backstories
Warnings: Likely war discussion will come up. A crime against cuisine
[With their schedule clear, it was time to make true of the promise they made back during Lunasa celebration last month, both offered to share their long stories when they have the time. A bit of a bonding exercise, and it was an opportunity to learn more about the blond girl. It's early in the afternoon, they'll have plenty of time to discuss their stories. Given that he could still transform into his alt-mode, an armored vehicle of sort, it won't be long for him to reach Saber's place of residence after a small exchange over their watches.
The roar of an engine is alien for the locals but it was sure to perk anyone's attention, as he rolls over to his destination. It's fairly likely that Saber might be able to hear it too, the rumbling sound of an engine, getting closer and closer outside until it dies down. He'll leave himself parked outside the house, materialized his avatar instead as to better able to enjoy the drinks Saber will provide.
After making sure he's got the right house, he knocks upon the door and waits for her patiently, sending a message to Saber beforehand that he's arriving soon.]

[He says, as he continues towards the next drawer. If it's weird, Soundwave's not thinking about it. At least he's not taking anything, just opens a drawer, scans a little, and then leaves for the next one. So far, he's only found kitchen utensils....]

[ Saber remarks, watching him with a sense of amusement. There are various snacks in the parlor, some tinned goods, some fresh vegetables. It's all neatly arranged. ]
It depends on one's taste...
no subject
[Most of them look very weird, though.]
You eat plants, too? [He's looking at the vegetables.]
no subject
[ Saber glances at him curiously. ]
I could try and prepare something for you. I make no claims at being a good cook, but...
no subject
.... If you like to. [Strange but won't oppose to it. He shall be open-minded about this, too.]
no subject
[ Call her curious. She's not quite sure what to fix up - something simple? She starts rummaging through the parlor with a little 'hmm'. ]
no subject
I can process the taste. [Although he can't get full eating them, especially so when he's in this holoavatar. It's all for the taste to him while in this form.]
no subject
[ She can do eggs. Eggs are easy. She starts rummaging for some vegetables and the eggs. ]
no subject
[But sure, he'll give it a try. Although those eggs...]
Aren't those things supposed to be newborns?
no subject
[ The stove, at least, is gas. She begins to heat a pan and then beats her eggs. She opts for simple - onions and spinach to start with. With some seasoning. ]
Ah. They can be? But usually only if they're fertilized. Humans tend to eat them, regardless.
no subject
[Human eating baby eggs is news to him. He won't judge, though....
Anyway, he's done with messing around the kitchen, and opts to watch Saber prepare. Curious....]

I will say that living on my own and having to feed myself has made me focus more on such things.
no subject
[That's when his olfactory sensor sniffs the fragrant aroma. It's an aroma he's entirely unfamiliar with...]
This is a unique smell...
no subject
[ She shrugs and then adds a few handfuls of fresh spinach, watching the green leaves begin to cook in with the onions. ]
no subject
[Although someone would've said the same when brewing high grades. He has no knowledge in that sort of area at all. Still an interesting tidbit, Soundwave hums after her explanation, eyes on her briefly before he turns back to the pain in time with her adding a new ingredient.
Those green leaves sure shrink fast in the pan.]
no subject
Oh, yes. One can make simple, bland meals that way... but bland food is only filling. It does nothing for the mind.
[ As she has learned. ]
no subject
Hmm. I can see that. Food is better enjoyed when it's flavorful.
[Flavors are important.]
no subject
[ There's that smile again. She gives the egg a few moments more and then lifts the pan and gives it a quick flip onto the uncooked side. Ta-da! ]
In my own time my meals were rather bland, I'm afraid to say.
no subject
That is depressing to hear. [He could deal with bland tasting Energon during the war for survival's sake but outside of that, why would anyone want bland Energon?] Incidentally, what time period were you from?
[He doesn't know all the exacts about human history, but he has some ideas about the time periods from what he had heard.]
no subject
[ She looks a little thoughtful. ]
It was a time of strife, but I never felt as if they were truly "dark".
no subject
[If he has access to Earth's Wikipedia he would've been able to figure out the exact date. But he's not on Earth, even if he somehow manages to connect to a galactic internet.]
Oh? What makes you say that? [Judging solely by the name, he would imagine it was a truly terrible age in human history.]
no subject
[ She's a bit biased, of course. ]
no subject
[It doesn't escape him that she could be biased, though.]
no subject
[ She might be biased, yes. ]
no subject
[That was the case for some of his world's legends.]
Is it done yet? [He nudges his head to the egg.]
