Who: Akechi and Sylvia
When: Early September
Where: Monster House + Tea House
What: Talking
Warnings: None so far.
It hadn't been hard to miss Sylvia's mood last night, even from a different neighborhood. When the two of them are normally so conscientious about monitoring their Bond those sorts of sudden surges are impossible to miss. But she's not dead and she's not in danger, and though her bad mood has persisted it's also mellowed out considerably. So. Time to do something.
Akechi is not a considerate person. He just isn't, and making sure his Bond partner is feeling stable is as much to his benefit as it is to hers. Still, he makes a point of heading over at what he knows to be a reasonable hour for her. Saburo accompanies him this time, perched on Akechi's shoulder and carefully preening his incoming winter plumage.
Sylvia is easy to spot before he even reaches the house. Akechi lets himself into the front garden (they really need to lock their gate more often) and towards the flower bed. He stops short of stepping off the path, though Saburo lets out an excited caw and launches himself at her. At least now he doesn't need to announce himself.
"The tea house is debuting some seasonal blends today." Maybe it's abrupt, but if she wants to talk about her feelings she'll tell him - and if she just wants a distraction, she won't. Easier to just start with this.

She's a little on-edge, and thus a little jumpy even when she hears a familiar caw in the near distance. The sound of wings flapping gets her to jump a little, but it's just Saburo, and the crow lands on the top of her head. She can't help but smile a little at the display of affection.
Then, she turns her attention to her Bonded. She can take a guess at why he's here, and it's...well. It's a little embarrassing.
"Oh yeah?" Sylvia blinks. He's asking her to hang out, isn't he? "Gimme a sec to get changed and we can head there, sounds good?"

Saburo seems intent on sticking around for the ride, however, though he'll at least get off her head and perch on her shoulders instead if she fusses.
"Don't take too long," Akechi advises, in a tone that's just light enough to make it clear he's teasing. "The lines for seasonal drinks can be chaotic."
no subject
"Alright, let's roll out! ... And hope that the line isn't too long!"
no subject
"If it is, we'll know who to blame." Everyone else in line. How dare they they be there when Akechi and Sylvia want to be? But for now, Akechi moves on to a different subject. "Did you hear about the celebration in Dorchacht later this month?"
no subject
"I did, yeah! Are you thinking of going? I know I am..."
She sure is. It sounds like a nice thing to celebrate, and she'll never say no to having a good time.

As much as he says that he doesn't care much for how food tastes, he does still enjoy trying new dishes.
"I visited once not long after I arrived, but I didn't have the opportunity to stay long."

It's going to be a fun time, she thinks. Surely nothing will go wrong.
"I'm gonna stuff my face with aaaall the good food there, too!"
no subject
"All of it? Don't I get any?" It's time for a joke that even Akechi realizes is pretty lame, but even if Sylvia only laughs at how bad it is, it's worth it.
They get to the tea shop right around then, and despite Akechi's earlier warnings it's crowded but not packed. They're able to get a seat without much trouble, and the hostess assures them without prompting that their seasonal blends are all still in stock.

"I'll give you some if I'm feeling generous!"
She's joking too, of course. Once they're at the shop and get seated, Sylvia immediately orders one of those seasonal blends for herself. Good thing there aren't a whole lot of people around...!
"Oh man, we got lucky with our timing, huh?"
