Two against one, Lavi. Now you've gotta spill.

Yeah, tell us about you and where you come from!

In my world, I fight dead people whose souls are forced into killing machines called Akuma that basically have a mind of their own but follows a man called the Millennium Earl. When someone dies, someone who loves them can bring them back to life by making a deal with the Earl, but it usually comes at the cost of their own life and their own body becomes the machine that's used to house their soul that makes them kill just about anyone.

[You guys asked for this...]

And anyone who usually gets hit by an Akuma ray will have black stars appear on their body and kill them--turning them into dust really.

[ Well Sora is sort of predictable like that. Vanitas doesn't think Lavi would actually tell them though.

He has no idea what sort of reaction Lavi is expecting to get though. Disgust? Gasping? Shock? A shame that Vanitas isn't going to really register any those sort of emotions. ]

Sounds like that's on them, though. Wishing someone back from the dead... Of course it's going to come with a price.

[What a tale. Sora tilts his head to the side.]

The whole dead people thing turning into other things reminds me a little of heartless but the rest of it...? Sounds complicated.

[Vanitas, though...]

What did you have to do with all that, Lavi?

[He quirks a brow.

But he's not really surprised by Vanitas. It's how he's initially felt.]

I destroy Akuma. There's an organization called the Black Order who trains Exorcists to fight the Earl and his army of Akuma.

Creatures of Darkness that seek the Light from one's heart. When they snuff that Light out, the person also becomes a Heartless in return.

[ Simplest way of explaining it, really. The rest of it he doesn't really comment on. Rather it is interesting to hear. Exorcist... ]

Yeah but never mind about that!!

[Sora waves his hand quickly. This is about Lavi. This is Lavi hour.]

So you're an exorcist?!

Not too different from an Akuma.

[He....holds back a snort at Sora.]

Yeah, that's what we're called anyway.

[ Even Vanitas has to roll his eyes a little at Sora. Good grief. ]

So tell us more about the people you work for then.

[It's interesting! Sora would chinhand if he was at a tabletop.]

Yeah, tell us all about that! Is it hard? How'd you get into it all?

The old man I'm studying for decided to team up with them.

[He's quiet for a moment, seemingly in thought.

How much can he reveal? How much can he actually say?]

The Order isn't all sunshine and rainbow, though. They have a history of experimentation, forcing people to bond with their Innocence weapon in order to make more soldiers in this war.

[ Vanitas would argue that they could be told just about anything. Maybe everything. They don't know if they retain memories once they leave, correct? Even so, it isn't as though they would be able to track Lavi down, right? That would take considerable time and resources. ]

Since when is any group or organization completely sunshine and rainbows? Of course there is going to be unsavory practices...
