Aye, aye, cap'n.

[He playfully salutes him.

His ears twitches at the sound.]

[Kor runs in the direction he'd heard the sound. Sure enough, he comes across a fallen branch on the ground, clearly having recently been trampled underfoot by something. There were a couple hoofprints, but with how thick the brush was in places, there weren't many tracks. Kor's senses were more acute than your typical human, having a keen awareness for the woods, but even he wasn't going to get far here.

He turns to his partner.]

Hey, you pucas have really strong senses of smell and hearing, right? Can you pick up anything here?

Gimme a sec.

[His ears twitches as he listens closely.

Then he turns his head.]

Over there.

[He begins to head in that direction.]

Whoa! Amazing! [He's surprised by how quickly Lavi figured out the way to go, having wasted no time at all.

He looks in the direction Lavi is indicating. He didn't see anything, but who knows far in the creature might be.]

Alright, let's go. Try to keep up with me, okay?

[He heads in the direction Lavi pointed, not wasting more than a second in taking off.]

[Kor why.

Lavi is quick to follow after him!

Who knew this guy could run so fast?]

[If there was one thing Kor was, it was quick on his feet. But soon enough, he hits another clearing, with several different paths to take. He tries his best to determine what way to go, but... no dice.]

Hey, Lavi! Which way now?

[Maybe you shouldn't shout while tailing an animal, Kor...]

You shouldn't yell. It'll hear you.

[He scolds a bit.

Lavi listens closely, ears twitching.

Then he hears the snapping of a branch, the slight crunch of the ground giving way and he starts walking in that direction, taking one of the paths.]

This way.

Ah! [He clamps his hands over his mouth, letting out a muffled "Right!" between his fingers.

He follows along behind Lavi, watching him do his thing. He was really glad to have him here right about now, he definitely wouldn't be able to track this beast like this.]

Those ears really do come in handy, huh...

They're definitely sensitive. Rabbits gotta be able to hear well in case a predator shows up.

[And even then it might not be enough.

He keeps following the sound before slowly his steps as they start to get a view of their target.]

[It makes sense to Kor, in theory. He's dealt with enough animals on his own in the woods back home to know about things like that, especially small animals like rabbits. He's hunted a few rabbits in his time. Sorry Lavi.]

That's true, but... You're a person. What predators do you have to worry about?

Hunters seems like a good reason to be careful.
