Who: fordola... and you?
When: juril
Where: aefenglom
What: quests and canon updates ahoy
Warnings: ffxiv 4.0 to 5.0 spoilers, at the very least.
OPEN TO ALL
[ glooming and looming, post-canon update. ]
[ The night was dull, but it somehow felt... brighter, as Fordola stumbled out of the Looking Glass. It was not the first time she'd felt this disorientated.
And when she was disoriantated? She flew though the empty streets--
--until bumping into you. Uh, sorry? ]
[ suspicious activity ]
[ Fordola had not heard about the cultists until she had been struck by them - the word butcher seeming to bleed from her face.
And yet, she didn't seem to care. No, instead, she'd let it show on her face as she tried to keep her regular day going. Though, if she saw somebody else with the marks? She'd give a little tilt of her head. ]
Wanna get some revenge? Not in th'violent way.
[ Her Bond would disagree with those methods. Unless they attacked back. ]
[ runaways ]
[ For those who had gone out to seek the children, however, there was quite the strange site on the edge of town - Fordola, sitting there, with the children. Talking about her home - but not of pain and suffering. No, she spoke of fighting alongside friends for what they felt was right.
Were they also chimera, Fordola was asked, and she lied. They were all seen as outsiders, so close enough. But, if Fordola sees you? She'll give a smile, and a tsk. ]
Hey, you. C'mere - got a question for ya.
[ She may or may not be trying to pull you into a spar. A fight. To show them techniques, you see. ]
CLOSED TO:
[ thancred ]
[ Now, how had Fordola 'rescued' those children?
It began that morning, when she had finally decided to tell Thancred about what she'd seen in the mirror. But it wouldn't be fitting if she just... you know... told him at home. So she invited him out for a flight. ]
...Thancred, do you trust me? Uh, right now, I mean.
[ mira ]
[ Mira trusted Fordola - Fordola even saw her as a friend.
And now, Fordola understood it a little more. Even if Mira wasn't the Warrior of her home... she had seen so much. Too much. And thus, she had landed on her balcony again - this time, carrying some small baked goods. (She'd tried. They were a little burned, but she didn't want to just burden her.)
But, there was also a purr in her throat. She wanted to see her gaelicat friend as well, thank you very much. ]
[ other? ]

Your future? Ah… it does, somewhat. What happened?
no subject
...Well, for one, the Alliance uses me as an Eikon-slayer now.
no subject
They are? Ah… given that you're protected as well, that's… well, is it good? Better, at least?
no subject
[ She said, quietly, as she landed. Trying to bury her anger. ]
Funny. I thought the Alliance didn't use t'same techniques Garleans did.
no subject
[He hisses, reaching out to land nearby. Thinkng- it's- it is war, but still- still-]
I'd… have hoped they wouldn't. Especially… not on you. …I'm sorry.
no subject
So you know this sort of shit happens.
no subject
…I know that it's a tool that can be used. Whether it's the right tool- I don't believe that, for you.
no subject
no subject
[for what it means for them- what he'd hoped…]
no subject
I'm not the smart one here, okay?
no subject
[He reaches out, to ruffle her hair gently.] But you're trying, aren't you? And… really, I think it's an unusual situation. […mostly.]
no subject
Durin' it, I saw--
I saw every damned thing the Warrior went though.
[ She finally said, quietly. ] Every victory, and every loss.
no subject
[For both of them. He reaches out, movement slow and deliberate.]. Are you all right?
no subject
[ A little smile, before moving to nuzzle him. ] You cared so much about 'em.
no subject
[He nuzzles her back, a little chirp in his throat.]. …well, yes. They're a good companion- a good friend. And- well- they've done so much for me- for us. I… want to do what I can for them, in turn.
[Because- how else can he repay what he feels he owes them?]
no subject
[ But then, her smile grows. ] Even if you were quite different back when they began.
no subject
[He huffs, a little, settling.]. I can't be that different, can I?
[…but. Sometimes, the way the others look at him…. And that he apparently agree to journey with an Ascian- what in the hells happened? That… worries him.]
no subject
...I-- I mean... I'm not good at tellin' people things like this.
no subject
He nods, ears twitching a little- but she'd lost her family as well, hadn't she?] …mm. They're… important people, after all…
You're doing just fine. [He reaches out to ruffle between her ears, gently.]
no subject
no subject
…well. Not as such. [He rubs his neck, thinking for a moment, before settling.] But it is one way to keep the memory with you. …what do you think of it now?
no subject
Not that I have a kid.
no subject
…well. I'd hope you'd tell me if you were going to, though, wouldn't you? I'm not sure surprise unclehood would suit me. [He offers a smile, the edge of one mouth pulling up higher.]
