☁️ What Dreams May Come [Backdated April Event]
Whoever is stuck inside with Yu will notice multiple mirrors leading to a few important events being played out;
A - SWEET VELVET
It's inside a...blue limousine? There's a man with a nose that probably accounts for a third of his body along with a lovely woman holding a book.
The man speaks, his voice grandfatherly and low.
"Welcome to the Velvet Room..."
B - THE FIGHT TO SAVE THE SISTER
There is a giant figure towering before them all. The group seems to be outmatched as it claims to be 'saving her'. Yu is paralyzed under a strange contraption and cannot move.
However the creature's grip on the small girl begins to slip until she starts to fall.
That's when hell really starts to come loose. ((OOC: The vision will continue until the end of the video))
C - THE MIDNIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT
It's midnight in a small room. Among the manga books sits and old-school television. As Yu comes closer to look at it a strange program begins. Then a few minutes later, the electricity goes out and everything begins to have a reddish hue...
🌕 Full Moon [🔒 Yosuke]
He was prepared for the full moon. Or so, Yu thought. After warning Yosuke to be on alert should anything happen, Yu had decided to camp outside in the view of the night sky, least he completely break the bed and whatever else might be there. It was a good time to keep his head calm and meditate. He was determined to take this as best as possible, with as little...Chimera-i-ness especially if that dream had been correct and he was turning into one of the most fear of monsters. For Yu, that was rather terrifying. He was just released to at least have bonded with Yosuke before.
It didn't hit him that hard at first. In fact, it took a long while, so much so that he was caught off guard when it began. A little lingering voice in his head that seemed to pace back and forth. Then the transformations began. The protective covers he had for heat and protection him quickly began useless as he felt pieces of himself moving and reorganizing. Yet it was only when he felt his bones snap in his legs that he finally screamed in pain.
It came out a wolf's howl.
⚗️ The Goblin Market [Open to all ]
"Not interested."
Even if Yu's changes had made him taller than before, the usual quiet but quick reply made even the nearest merchant stop attempting to go their spiel at him. Yu was merely curious about this place and to see if he could get himself better outfits than the one he was currently wearing. Despite his own troubles, he goes over to someone else with a smile when he spots a similar situation.
"Sorry for the wait. Do you want to leave now?"
Sure you might have never met, but maybe you'll play into it. He's very good at getting crowds to scatter.
⛺ A Wilde Hunt [Open to all ]
There's a tall, wolf-like monster nearby. The legs are covered in grey fur and shaped like a canine's, but the hands are more like claws than paw. While his face is mostly human, his nose is now more like snout. The chest is bare because apparently he doesn't believe in sweaters, but it's still human for now.
How it managed to sneak so close is anyone's' guess, but the quiet footsteps stop before it becomes too uncomfortably close to whoever is next to him. Even if there's a low growl, his voice is soft and he sports a satchel around his neck. The springs of lavender and peppermint inside along with the other ingredients giving off a pleasant relaxing smell.
"Hey."
Thankfully he's here to help. Or maybe play a game of cat and mouse to help someone else develop their magic. At least he doesn't seem to want to attack?
((OOC: Feel free to meet him either inside or outside the barricade.))
🎴 A Wilde Carde [Open to all ]
((OOC: If there's anything else you'd like to do with Yu, let me know at
pixle or please ping this account!.))

Full Moon
But honestly, he hadn't been prepared for the pain in felt along with the scream. Yosuke couldn't help but clutch his chest, fingers digging into his shirt because he couldn't do anything for his partner. Not yet. They had to let the change happen. Fighting it would make it worse, or so they were told. So, Yosuke fought through what Yu was feeling to gather supplies. He had been studying very hard, not that he could say his magic was really up to snuff or anything. But he could do some basic spells and the thing he focused on the most was alchemy. Potion making, using crystals and herbs to get what he wanted. He had some of the basics down pat and those are the things he gathered. Painkillers and whatnot.
Once it seemed to be over, or when the pain ebbed, Yosuke carefully made his way to the backyard. He clutched his satchel of jars and salves as he regarded the tattered blanket and ripped clothing. "P-Partner? You gonna be okay?"
no subject
Out of the tattered pieces of cloth, a single hand reached outwards like a horror movie come to life. While the fingers looked human, the claws at the end were scale-like, ending more like a bird's than a wolf's. It slowly began to pull him into view.
Yosuke's voice was distant, but it felt like something he could hold on to.
"Y0snkƎ?"
His voice was broken. Struggling to keep up.
no subject
He didn't know what to do and that was starting to frighten him more than what he was seeing in front of him.
He reached out to take that now very large hand, to give Yu something to hold onto.
"I-I'm here, partner. J-...Just take it easy, o-okay?"
no subject
The clawed hand reacted to Yosuke's touch, briefly moving away before it dug into the ground so that he could push his entire body out.
There wasn't much left to his clothes on the lower side of his body either. Thankfully he had been precautions by having a skirted garment, but the muscle and leg mass was struggling to keep up with it. The change was a lot more obvious now; his legs were not human anymore. If it wasn't for the dream or the bird-like hand, he might think himself turnskin.
The bird part worried him and Yosuke would probably get a hint of that emotion as he used his other hand, still mostly human, to touch it. Yu's head wasn't quite looking in the right direction, almost as if he was blind. He managed to at least sit himself on the ground and slowly pulled the clawed hand on his face, as if he could figure out what it was from the touch of it to his forehead. That wasn't really what he was worried about, however...
"My legs ȟ̵͒ͅỏ̵̡̹̮̆ẇ̵̥̟̈́ ̵̼̍̚d̸͕̀̆̃ờ̷̝̠̯ ̴̗͂͋̓ they l̴͈̦̉̈́͌ō̵̳͕͓̕ȯ̶̧́͐ķ̶̱̆?̸̧̦̆"
no subject
"Your... legs?" Honestly, should the fact that he can't see be more worrisome that - oh sweet baby jesus! Yosuke this time fully recoiled at the sight of the digitrade legs that were not meant to be on humans!! Okay, no, calm down, Hanamura. Shinjiro had this, right? So did a few others, right? This was... weirdly normal. But this was his partner and it fully explained the pain he felt. His heart broke a little as he reached out to touch his knee. Nothing looked... well, broken. Like, actually broken. No bleeding and scrapes or anything. Just totally reformed legs. "U-Uhm... they look... well, they're not the same but they look fine? Super duper furry now but, uh... fine?"
He didn't exactly sound convincing.
no subject
Well, it was Yu, after all, despite the fear and everything. Feeling Yosuke recoiling, briefly sharing the link at the panic, he felt his heart sinking about how horrible he must look to his partner.
He'll never like me like this now...
You're a beast...embrace it...
A low growl escaped his mouth before he could think about it. Fighting that inner voice.Everything was still a haze, but at least he could see a little where Yosuke was standing. When he felt his friend close enough, he almost unconsciously repositioned himself so that he could hold him close as another burst of pain and fear gripped him. He wanted to grab his hand to hopefully get some energy back or knowing he was there but...without thinking he reached out to him with the wrong hand and no ability to judge how close things were to him.
no subject
"I-aah!"
He flinched, suddenly pulled forward and embraced against Yu's body. But the hand that grabbed him dug deeply into his arm and something warm was spreading. It took every ounce of willpower to not move again, he was just going to make it worse at his rate, but his heart rate sped up as he felt strong arms tighten around him. His uninjured arm curled around Yu's, unsure what to do and unwilling to do more as he shook in his grass.
"P-Partn-... Yu? U-Uhm..." How did he tell him that he was hurt?
no subject
Yosuke was like...a light in front of him. He limped into him, not realizing how heavy he had to be, and that the smell of blood was not his. His friend's heart-rate was increasing, and Yu looked around still just blurred images to see if there was a nearby threat.
I wish he could hold me like this more often...
Good choice. Smells nice. More than a friend?
"Is it over?"
He moved his hand, his normal one, to touch Yosuke's face. At first it was more like a blind person trying to touch him, running the hand down his cheek to confirm it was there. Unfortunately, the transformation wasn't over and even as he did so, the finger shifted and grew, a claw extending, deadly and sharp. What was supposed to be just a gentle caress to confirm his friend was still there turned into more pain from his hand as he quickly removed it realizing what was happening, nearly pushing Yosuke off of him in the process.
"Ahhh...I'm....sor--"
He gasped, turning over so he could ride the last bits of the pain off. Or at least he hoped.
Did I hurt him?
We hope not. We like him too.
no subject
He almost didn't hear Yu's question, because what the hell was going on? And then, as if to confirm those suspicious feelings, Yu was caressing his cheek. Best friends didn't do that. That was like... well, it was super gay. But Yu liked it and Yosuke... couldn't deny it felt good. Well, until it abruptly didn't and a very sharp claw was suddenly running down his cheek and it hurt. He hissed and jerked in Yu's hold, the claws digging deeper into his arm.
He felt himself on the ground suddenly, out of Yu's hold and into the cold.
We like him too
Yosuke didn't know what to do. He didn't know what to do. Yu was still... he was still Yu, but he was changing and he liked Yosuke and instead of coming out here to treat Yu, he was the one that got hurt instead. It was a lot all at once and he didn't know what to do. He kept his arm close, looking at it for a moment to see the deep gashes in his upper arm. It might need stitches, he didn't learn healing all that well yet. Blood was running down his neck as well from his cheek.
This was such a mess. "Yu? Partner? Just... just breathe, okay?" He got his legs underneath him, but he stayed where he was. "Deep breaths, it'll be over soon."
He felt like such a dumbass, was this even helping?
no subject
"WHAT DID I DO?"
The voice inside him seemed just as frightened too.
We hurt him. We didn't want to do that. We're sorry.
The irony was that he'd been warned so much to let go and accept the beast inside that it had been his primary worry. Instead he'd accomplished that almost pathetically easily, but it was just his body and his strength that wasn't following up. And now Yosuke looked like he'd been in a worst situation than any battle inside of the TV.
Without thinking about it, he had grabbed some of his cloths on that ground and applyed a tourniquet to his arm. The claws made it hard, as the tissue gave way like butter, but Yu would not be deterred, only stopping when he had managed it thought pain and effort. Then he moved away again, tears forming in his eyes as he realized what had happened.
"Yosuke...I'm....I'm so sorry. I'm dangerous right now..."
no subject
Instead, he stayed still until the tourniquet was on and Yu was crying. It hurt to see that. He felt a lot of things right now, he could hear Yu’s thoughts, they conflicted and meshed with his own.
“Stop, partner,” He said, tired and irritated from the three voices in his head, in pain, but ultimately concerned. What did this mean? He still didn’t know what to do. “Let’s just... I just... don’t be sorry, I’m the one whose useless and...”
Maybe he shouldn’t have Bonded. Someone else could probably do a better job. Was it a mistake?
“I’m the one who should be sorry.”
no subject
"I don't think you're useless...."
Suddenly panic builds up to a new crescendo when he feels something about his friend's connection. Not quite to be able to 'hear' everything but enough to wonder if...
He fears us now? Mistake?
"No. Please. You're bleeding. I have to go find a healer for you before it becomes dangerous. Or take you to a hospital."
Now he understood why Kanji hated hospitals so much. First Nanako, and his uncle, and now Yosuke...his partner was not bleeding to death but if this kept going or if he...if he....got worse....what if....
no subject
But he was going to need help soon. Shit. This is why he was useless. He couldn’t heal anymore, his magic wasn’t strong enough yet, what good did he really do tonight? All he did was get himself hurt.
Wait what?
“Yu, I’m not afraid of you,” He didn’t want to say he could hear those thoughts. He wasn’t ready to deal yet. But even without the words, he could feel it. “So stop it.”
no subject
I'm the one whose useless.
We are dangerous. Protect. Protect hurt him. Far away from him safer.
"I...I think I need to leave." He couldn't write a message on his device to send someone here to help him, after all. He looked down at his hands and seemed almost disgusted with them. "We could call someone here before I go so you're safe."
no subject
"You're not going anywhere, partner," Yosuke replied, reaching over to drag his bag to himself. He dug around for thick bandages. They couldn't leave the tourniquet on for too long, it'd just do more harm than good. His arm was almost as good as mauled so there wasn't a way he could get any of the salves on them for now. They'd have to get the wounds closed up a bit more or stitched up and he wanted to use the adrenaline he was still feeling to hs advantage because he was pretty sure that was the only thing keeping him upright.
This wasn't unlike after a particularly bad shadow fight. "I'll call someone."
no subject
"Okay."
He stayed there in the tattered clothing like a toddler who had done a very very bad thing and was paralyzed at what to do. He'd still wait for Yosuke to write out something before actually deciding on what to do.
Goblin Market
I-I don't think I... [He's cut off again as the vendor starts peddling a love potion, insisting that it'd work on ANYONE. Elliot looks extremely nervous, trying to figure out how to get away when---]
Huh?
[He looks up, used to having to look at people, but he doesn't recognize this guy at all. Still, he sees an out so he'll take it]
U-Um, alright! Please!
no subject
Please excuse us.
[The merchants, seeing the wolf-like legs and the claws on his hands, quickly move away and part like the sea before them. It doesn't take long before they find their way out and Yu finally breaks character.]
Sorry. I thought it would be faster that way.
no subject
Yeah-- t-thank you!
[He says to the merchant before he follows along with Yu. He breathes only once Yu breaks character]
N-No, it worked. T-Thank you, I didn't want what he was selling but I couldn't think of a polite way to turn him down... so I appreciate the rescue!
no subject
[Idly, he adjust the seam around his pants. The added length from the wolf legs still made him feel like he was walking on stilts.]
I'm Yu Narukami. It's nice to meet you.
not sure if you want this before or after the full moon
[He is envious of the height.]
Elliot Craig. It's nice to meet you too, I really owe you.
The Wilde Hunt
And so, despite having no need to hunt or chase prey, he's out here in the wilde. (Maybe to be the prey? he hasn't thought too hard about it, only feeling the need to do and then doing it.) Narrow, cloven hooves are careful with each step, but by no means as quiet as a wolfs paws. Long, furry ears flicker up with any stray noises, but he continues regardless.
Everything in the undergrowth is wild and untamed, and maybe the soothing feeling from being surrounded by nature preoccupies him, because when Yu speaks, he startles. That elevated prey response kicks in at the soft growl of words, far closer than he would have expected, and he's quick in a short leap to make some distance as he turns on those awkward thin goat-legs to see just who is creeping up on him.
...And of course it's this guy. Mr. Too-friendly-no-shirt.]
The hell're you doing, Narukami? [It's an attempt to sound aggravated, but if Yu's got canine senses, he's sure to be able to pick up on that brief instinctual flare of fight-or-flight, the way his heartbeat is still a little too fast (which, really, could be related to the moon).]
You can't just stalk up on people.
no subject
I'm not sure. It's a little too easy to start walking a certain way?
[His brain simply seems to have two modes right now - run really fast or be a sneaky boi. He can sense something from Shinjiro, but they aren't quite developed yet enough to get the full picture apart from a heartbeat that he partly assumes to be his own.]
I didn't expect that many people out here but...it feels better than being in the city doesn't it?
no subject
Damn, you're changing fast.
[It's an offhand comment that he doesn't seem interesting in following up on, as he immediately looks back up to continue the conversation Yu had started. After all, its not like his own shitty comments were ever asked for.]
It's probably from being outside the Wall. [He'd noticed it, the times he'd left the city. The magic just felt more raw. Whether than had to do with the Cwyld or just the nature of the place, he's not sure. He'll leave all that for the Coven to figure out.] I dunno if the magic is just more raw out here or what, but I know it affects us.
[As though unaffected, he starts walking again, simply expecting Yu to either follow along or go his own way, and seemingly unbothered by his lack of any sort of enhanced night vision.] I wanted to see what was going on over here. They said they were opening this place up for people to hunt, but I dunno if they meant animals, shades, or each other.
Goblin Market
"H-huh?" Alphys looks up, confused. She's never even met this guy before? "Uhh... I think you have the wr-" And then it dawns on. "O-okay! L-let's go!"
She turns away from the booth and mouths thank you.
