When he felt his friend close enough, he almost unconsciously repositioned himself so that he could hold him close as another burst of pain and fear gripped him. He wanted to grab his hand to hopefully get some energy back or knowing he was there but...without thinking he reached out to him with the wrong hand and no ability to judge how close things were to him.
