[Sora laughs and gauges the drop-down from where he is.]

Uhhh... You know what? I think I can make it down. I'll just jump.

[Can he, though?? Sora's legs are much stronger these days and he's used to jumping off crazy things and performing parkour like a master so he might be able to pull it off. So long as Kairi's okay with a second heart attack of the day.]

[Oh hey, have a sharp jolt of concern jumping through the bond at that, Sora!]

Wait a moment! I don't have healing magic if you hurt yourself!

[Why the heck hasn't she learned any of that, now that she thinks of it? This house contains Sora, Ventus, and Roxas. They could really use it.]

[He nearly winces when he feels that spark of concern!]

Don't worry! If I can't make a landing then I'll know what to work on for next time!

[Sora...???? No?]

[Maybe she should just... go into the shed and grab something while they're calling to each other. Even if there's not a ladder maybe she can find something soft for him to land on.

I'm just guessing but it's not that far down?!

[He does remember the vague memory of Kairi breaking her arm once. That was before any of them had any snazzy healing spells. But Sora is so used to being able to perform theses sorts of feats that he doesn't see an issue?]

[What's the fun it playing safe?? But he'll wait here like a good bunny.]

It's roof height!

[That's pretty far! At least when you don't have a Keyblade magic-ing the impact away or whatever.

Regardless, it doesn't take her too long to find a ladder and come out carrying it.]

Well I guess I could have gotten up easier than I thought.

[She sets up on the ground and leans it up against the roof for him.]

If you really want to jump off the roof, I'll see if I can find you some old mattresses to land on sometime, alright?

[Alright- That has Sora busting out with laughter. All of that and there had been a ladder nearby all this time. Oh well, he had fun.

Sora goes for it and starts to climb down after he tosses the keyblade to the grass below.]

Okay, as long as you promise I can actually try it sometime. Mattresses and all.

[Sora's got a thing to prove now, it seems. Or he's just being dramatic.]

Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. [Once again the bond betrays her. She's trying to sound annoyed, but the amusement at her own silliness is blatant. Along with embarrassment, but she's basically been broadcasting that since the weapon landed in the first place.]

I promise. Not sure where I'll find the mattresses, but there's gotta be some lying around somewhere. Maybe I'll just leave them set up in case anyone else wants to be a daredevil.

[And by "anyone else" she mostly means Ven and Roxas.]

[Safely back on the ground now!

Sora grins at Kairi. He can feel that flourish of amusement flicker on their bond back and forth. It kind of tickles and it feels very nice.]

You think so? Come on, Kairi who do you think is the best daredevil in the house? Me or someone else?

Uh, depends on how you define "best". You probably win for being the most willing to endanger yourself at the drop of a hat. Ven and Roxas probably tie for most destructive, though.

[Those dang dogs...]

[Sora bursts out laughing, his arm going around his waist to contain the laughing pains he gets.]

Thanks for always dealing with us, Kairi! And sorry too!

[She's really the best for having to deal with all these reckless boys. Honestly.]

[Okay, that was probably the best reaction she could have gotten out of him. The humor rolling off him is so much she can't even keep her own face straight and just ends up grinning ear to ear.]

Don't apologize. I wouldn't do it if I didn't love you dorks to pieces.

[Well now he's coming right up to her to scoop her up into a warm hug.]

And we love you too, Kairi.

[Affection, gratitude, and a nice helping of humor stir in her as she hugs him back, feeling a lot lighter on her feet than before he'd come by, and not just because he got her Keyblade out of the roof for her.

Seized by impulse, she pulled back just a bit... and applied an impish little kiss to his cheek.]

[And just like any time Kairi gives him affection Sora's cheeks light up with some pink and he smiles warmly at her as he returns it with his own rabbit-like nuzzle.]

Come on, let's go out to lunch. My treat for being such a pain.

After you just saved my butt by getting the Keyblade down? Sora, you're too good to me.

[She's not gonna say no to going out to get something, though.]
