Not exactly, but we were well acquainted and had worked together before.
[ Hopefully that does the trick, cause the next answer takes even more thought. ]
Bonding is... to be frank, it's a bit troublesome, but going without was worse. I can't say I would have agreed in another situation, but it's not a decision I regret.
no subject
[ in theory, at least. this is coming from someone who hasn't even tried bonding with anyone... ]
I'm glad you don't regret it, though. Opening up to someone is kind of a scary thing, don't you think?
no subject
But Akira already knows all of the worst parts of him, so it's not as terrible as it might have been. However, he's not really in the mood to talk about that. Instead... ]
You make it sound like you haven't tried yourself.
no subject
[ that...completely catches her off-guard. she freezes up for a second, looking at him like a deer in headlights before she gives him a dismissive laugh with an equally dismissive wave. ]
Naaaah, I don't need to! Not right now, anyway. I'm good!
no subject
You're a Puca, right? [ She must be, with those ears. Neither Fauns nor Turnskins can be rabbits, and she doesn't have any of the other aspects he'd normally associate with a Chimera. ] I suppose your full moons are a little less dangerous than a Vampire's or a Dragon's might be.
no subject
Yep, I am, and you're probably right about that. [ let's not talk about how she ran away from home during the last full moon though. that totally didn't happen. ] Not a whole lot happened to me during the last full moon. I just felt kinda...groggy. And weirdly clingy.
[ not like that last part ever left, though. that's...partly why she's been hanging out with akechi so much. ]
So I guess that means I can last a little longer without a bond. I'm not worried.
no subject
But a friend would probably say something, right...? And Akira would say something, though Akechi rather violently shoves aside any thoughts of emulating him and instead tells himself that it's not the best idea to hear that his Bonded is living with other Bondless Monsters and not say anything. ]
And you don't think that could become a problem later?
no subject
[ she pauses for a considerably long time. her eyes seem to be searching for an excuse, a reason to cling onto to justify why bonding to her would be a bad idea. truth be told though, he's right. ]
...I guess it would be. Going feral would be way worse than subjecting anyone to...you know. Me.
[ she sincerely believes this is a bad thing, too, and she says it like it is. she's not hiding her thoughts on the matter this time. ]
Heh, that sounds so sad, doesn't it?
no subject
It's a little strange hearing that from someone with four roommates. Are they treating you that poorly?
[ He already knows the answer, but he can't help but add: ]
If it's becoming a problem, I could talk to Kurusu-kun for you.
no subject
[ she adores her roommates and they've done nothing wrong, so!! ]
Anyway...yeah. Bonding. I'm not a fan of it, but it's gotta happen somewhere down the line.
[ she frowns, looking down at her teacup. sylvia's never been great at hiding how she feels, and it's clear she's not really excited about the prospect of connecting with another stranger in the intimate way bonds require. ]
I'll...figure it out, I guess.
no subject
Then again, it's not like Bonds have to be permanent, is it? ]
You know, Bonds can be temporary, if you're just looking for a stopgap.
[ He considers his options for a moment longer, but there's really no reason to hold back if he's already looked in her memories, had her look at his, and even mentioned the possibility of temporary Bonds. ]
If you find yourself short on potential partners, I don't mind making a deal with you.
no subject
You wouldn't mind?
[ akechi seems like the kind of person who preferred keeping things to himself. that he's offering comes as a (pleasant?) surprise. ]
I mean... I don't really have any potential partners right now, to be honest. And I like you well enough, so...
[ so? ]
...I'll think about it. I'm definitely inclined to tell you yes, but I wanna be sure first, y'know?
no subject
Take all the time you need... within reason, that is.
[ He imagines a Puca's version of a feral rampage is a lot less destructive than a Vampire's or a Dragon's might be, but it's probably still far from pleasant. ]
... And I meant what I said. If Kurusu-kun ever gives you trouble I'll be happy to chide him for you.
[ His tone is much lighter now, at least; it's definitely a joke, if only because he has a hard time imagining Akira being a jerk to anyone who didn't deserve it. ]
no subject
[ she grins at him, and there's a little mischievous glint in her eye. in regards to akira, however: ]
Hey, don't worry! I'm sure I can scold him myself if it comes down to that.
[ she lets out a giggle before sipping on her tea again. she didn't come here expecting to potentially bond with akechi, but perhaps she should have expected that, given the subject matter. she brought it up, after all. ]
...Also, Akechi? Thanks for the offer. I know I'm pretty hesitant about it all, but I appreciate it anyway.
