[Open!] Kickback at the Fratsion
Who: Soren and anybody stopping by!
When: Early Aereuer
Where: Soren's Mansion House in the aristocratic district.
What: Bonfire and kickback!
Warnings: Excessively wholesome bro-ness.
[Don't overthink how you were invited.
Soren might have mentioned it in person, inviting his new Wilder friends back with him after the days mission to hang out. You might have just noticed the open gate and thought "why not?" Everybody sure cheered like they were expecting all the new arrivals, even if they weren't. It's not important how or why you got here, it's a party! Everybody likes a party!
The atmosphere is actually very relaxed. The night is a gloomy one, with dark clouds and thunder crackling over head, but only an occasional sprinkle of rain. Mostly, people are gathered in the yard space and on the porches lining the massive house. There's not a ton of furniture, most of the chairs set out are mismatched. The whole scene resembles just about every sparse college affair where what is around is made to work.
Nothing all that wild is going on, people seem contented to sit and chatter between themselves contentedly. Alcohol is reserved to those who brought their own mead. Many are drinking tea or hot cocoa, instead. There are some long logs with heavy blankets tossed onto them for comfort, surrounding a massive firepit.
It's a cozy affair.]
I. S'more than a good time.
[Thanks to Emil, there's a huge bonfire! Thanks to Juza, there is a huge pile of chocolate and graham crackers for s'mores set out.
Thanks to Soren, nobody can find the marshmallows because he's carrying around the entire bag worth. Seems if that particular part of the treat is desired, he'll need to be asked directly.
Or, he'll need be a half decent host and notice someone looking in need and share. He's shoving one in his mouth about the time someone catches his eye.]
Mmmm, you want one of these?
II. King of the Castle.
Marvel at my domain! The Bastion Keep! [Soren calls out from his second story porch. There's a single, tepid "woo!" from down in the yard, which gets a "yeah, this guy!!" from Soren.
He seems mighty proud of himself. Hands on his hips, he stretches back to lean on heels and sucks in the brisk night air. It's pleasant out, the chilly storm weather was perfect to have a fire burning during]
Not exactly a rager, but this is nice, right? You having a good time?

Not exactly a rager, but this is nice, right? You having a good time?

You can eat 'em that way too, they're just better when you toast 'em.
[He makes a gesture like "give me one."]

[he'll hand off a couple to Juza, having been curious what the thin metal sticks were for exactly. Seemed a bit weak to be fire pokers. Meanwhile, he muses]
Man... who cooked bread once and thought, like, eh, let's cook it again! Right?
no subject
[This is the first and only time he's ever heard toast-toast. With a few marshmallows, he skewers them and holds them over the fire.]
... I dunno? Somebody who wanted somethin' warm? Or maybe it was old bread.
no subject
[not bread toast, but... sugar toast?
Oh, that does sound good. Show him how, friend, he wants this delicious sugar toast.]
no subject
[Which is a completely separate thing from toasted bread. Also he's pretty sure you can't put these in a toaster and get them successfully gooey. That might just destroy the toaster.
He rotates them around until they're golden brown then pulls one off to put on a s'more, handing it over to Soren.]
Try it.

It's like a sweet sandwich! That's a good idea, you think of this? [yes, Juza, you could just take all the credit for s'mores if you wanted, Soren would believe]
no subject
Nah, it's a pretty normal camping treat back home. [Juza's too lawful to lie about anything related to dessert.] Like it?
[He asks, as he chomps down on his own.]
no subject
This face and a nod yes, yes, yes, hell yes, that's good! It's going to take him forever to chew through it and swallow though. Maybe advise he take a bite instead of voring the whole damn thing at once. Good thing Juza's not the one who would make fun of him for that]
no subject
Juza looks amused as Soren chews his way through the s'more. There's a reason this is one of the few sweets he eats in smaller bites instead of all at once. Still, he can't blame him for his excitement- desserts are all delicious.]
Try biting into your next one. There's a lot less to deal with at a time.
