IZUKU MIDORIYA QUESTLOG: Open.

I. RUNE(TCH A SKETCH)

[ Honestly, Izuku just keeps picking jobs that will allow him to get some magical hands-on training...and runes? Runes are so far his favorite thing, ever. He's not so great at making things (although he can design things, somewhat) but adding runes to already made things is like...well, it's almost easy. He's always been good at memorization, and he carries a pen with him everywhere anyway...

It's just a matter of creatively applying runes to things now, right? He has the steady hands and teh ability to draw straight lines, and he can throw spells into scrolls as long as he's taught the spells to load up. He does his work cheerfully and without complaint, and then...

Well. He makes enough money to buy a small mountian of (to put it nicely) absolute junk. Old bracelets, rusted rings, scraps of nails and really ugly brooches...just things that could be held or kept close, along with borrowed work tools to actually etch runes in place...He sets up outside the house that he shares with several others, legs crossed as he sits out on the porch in easy view of the street, fingers flickering with green light as he works, squinting at the latest piece of Absolute Garbage to get his magic touch...

He's easily interrupted if you're curious, or maybe he looks up and waves you over? ]

II. POTENT POTIONS

[ Being drawn into festival preparations was kind of inevitable. Izuku is bad at saying no to requests to help and furthermore he likes to help with set up...and given his new apothecary in progress training, helping to make potions seems like an easy one!

Unfortunately, luck is just like...rarely on his side. It's his job as a manga protagonist to run into improbable mishaps every so often, and in this case it happens to be spilling some of the potions he's just finished and is delivering to the appropriate booth on you. Maybe you took a corner faster than you should have? Or he got knocked into from behind and then into you...

Either way, these are love potions. So, depending on how much or how many you got on you, your character may or may not fall in love with anyone in the vicinity, including but certainly not limited to Izuku - or maybe it's just warm fuzzy friendship feelings for a few drops? ]

Oh no. [ EITHER WAY THERE GOES SEVERAL HOURS OF WORK...he looks crestfallen. ]

III. MIRROR, MIRROR

[ He's also experimenting with mirror magic, for some reason. Find Izuku in the residential quarters (still in the garden outside his house, or on the porch) playing with some hand mirrors, trying different incantations and sort of peering into them.

He frowns every so often, so whatever he's trying to do maybe isn't going too well? ]

[ I'm open to any quests this month, and will also write unique starters for other quests or specific people if asked! I'll probably throw any other threads I need to do on this post as well. ]

[He crouches down to look at Deku's face. He looks like a defiant third grader.

[ But that's...close. Because yeah, he's doing too much without a Bond to catch him... ]

If you don't like it, you can just leave.

[ - Although he's not so in-his-skin irritated he doesn't immediately regret those words, shock flickering onto his expression. ]

[He sees the shock too. At least maybe this idiot will come to his senses.]

[ He looks away, because...no? He's clearly not, and he can't tell if it was the thorn - he's still exhausted or just...the whole not having a Bondmate thing.

He can't do shit about either right now. ]

Of course it matters, you dumbass. You need to fucking take care of yourself if you're aiming for the top.

We can't do anything about it right now, Kacchan.

[ At least he mostly sounds exhausted instead of angry, now. ]

We can just get the hell outta this place. Screw their stupid quests.

[He's wanted to get out of the city but... Deku's clearly fucked so whatever. Time to go back. Certainly Deku can't make it back on his own.]

...I'm not sure I can walk back.

[ ARE YOU GONNA ABANDON HIM HERE... ]

[HE LOOKS TEMPTED TO.]

When have I ever? [ There's that uncharacteristic irritation again, although it's a little muted with exhaustion. ]

[bombingking]

Shut up.

[There's only room for one petulant little bitch in this dynamic and the role is taken! Though he deserves a taste of his own medicine, 1000%.

He nudges Deku with his foot.]

You really think you can't?

[defendure]

...Kacchan, I can barely keep my eyes open.

[ He might fall over if he tries standing. ]

[bombingking]

[He makes a noise of frustration and stalks around a few times as if deciding what to do. Well, he knows what to do. Hell, he's done it before when they were kids. Deku used to be such a baby about shit and he'd have to carry him home or else he wouldn't stop crying...

He exhales through his nose.

Things are different between them. Win by saving.

Katsuki goes over to where Deku sits, glares at him for a few seconds before turning around and dropping into a crouch.]

Get on.

[defendure]

[ There's actual surprise on his expression that Katsuki didn't just throw a temper tantrum or something, but Izuku does have enough strength to at least loop his arms around Katsuki's neck, hanging on as best he can while being obviously more lethargic than usual.

Which is maybe better than the irritation? ]

Don't fucking thank me.

Just hold on and don't fall off.

[He wraps his arms around Deku thighs, preps himself, and stands. Deku's a lot heavier than he used to be. But he's still a shrimp so it's not really that much effort. Plus Katsuki's physical strength has increased since he arrived. So he trudges along, awkwardly, but surefooted.]

[defendure]

[ That sounds like a sort of "shut up" so Izuku tries, pressing his face into Katsuki's shoulder and trying to stay awake. He's at least aware if he falls asleep he'll be out cold for days, and that would probably make Kacchan even angrier than usual... ]

[bombingking]

...Sleep if you have to, dumbass. There's no point in resisting if you've got flower poisoning or whatever.

[he can practically smell the exhaustion ya bro.]

[defendure]

...If I do I won't wake up until it's out of my system. It might be days.

[ That's the only reason he's trying to keep his eyes open. ]

[bombingking]

We'll survive, you dweeb.

[Just... sleep if you have to.]

[ ...Well. ]

Kacchan, you're being nice.

[ It sounds faintly amused against Katsuki's shoulder, but Izuku gives up trying to keep his eyes open for now. Unless Katsuki keeps talking, he'll probably drift off.

AND...STAY THAT WAY FOR DAYS? OOPS? ]

Like hell! Not having to hear your stupid nerdy voice for three days would be a fucking miracle!

[SO BASICALLY, HE'S BEING NICE.]

[ Would it really...what if he doesn't wake up ever, Kacchan! (He will. It'll just take a while.)

At least Izuku knows he can trust Katsuki with his body, even if Kacchan's Like That. ]
