🌸Tea Time🌸

After all the fussing and effort put into decorating Sylvain's ballroom, Tataru and her "assistants" have transformed the area into one worthy of inviting princesses to high tea. Tables have been set up throughout the ballroom, flowers and other decorations adorning the tables and walls. Little Ladies are invited to sit where they please to be served while live music plays. When it comes to tasty treats and drinks (both alcoholic and not), there's a special menu to choose from, along with your standard high tea fair of scones, tea sandwiches, petit fours and of course, tea. Loyal Seneschals are at the beck and call of their Ladies, whether they're focused on one particular individual or a group.

Socializing is encouraged and if Ladies tire of sitting at the tables to snack and sip away at their tea, they're encouraged to relax and recline in the Tête-à-Tête sofas set up in another area of the room, either with another fellow Lady or a Seneschal who's willing to charm them or show off their listening skills. There is, of course, space free for those who wish to use the ballroom as it was intended to be - for dancing - and with the lively music filling the room why not take the opportunity to? It's all in good fun, after all.

🌸Lights! Camera! Action!🌸

Prompto finally has his camera working again and Tataru's decided it would be a great idea for him to participate as a photographer and get new clients for his photography business! One of the activities of Little Ladies' Day back in Eorzea is Ladies posing in front of backdrops that are set up around the city-states. To emulate this exciting experience, various backdrops have been set up outside in the yard for Little Ladies to have their photographs taken. The main attraction? A chocobo drawn carriage for that special princess aesthetic. Yeah...

There is also a dressing room area for Ladies to get dressed up or borrow a few donated outfits for the event (from local shops), if they were unable to get their own gear to wear, if they so wish to do so. The room itself that contains said outfits has been turned into a makeshift powder room with a mirror and vanity space for touch ups. Every Little Lady ought to look their best, after all.

🌸Adorable Adoption🌸

Hector has volunteered to bring a few well-behaved fuzzy friends along (cats and dogs) for Little Ladies to play with and pet. All the animals will be up for adoption, and would make good Familiars for Witches who might need one in their lives. His makeshift petting zoo is set up in a segregated area of the yard, to make sure no animals go missing. Everyone who is an animal lover is encouraged to play, pet and love on the animals that have been brought along. If you do wish to adopt one, you'll have to be up to Hector's standards however. They deserve to go to good homes, after all!

What does it mean to be a Loyal Seneschal or Little Lady?: The role of Seneschal is quite fluid; ultimately it hinges on making sure no Lady goes without a smile on their face during their special day. Whether that's through serving them, entertaining them, being a companion or maybe going home with them to help them do a few chores around their house...it's seriously up to you! Get creative! If you're a Little Lady all that means is that you're a woman and it's Your Day to be Appreciated. Own it. (And no, don't even think about trying to be a Seneschal if you're a Lady - Tataru will hunt you down.)
How will my character find out about the event?: If your character didn't see Tataru's post about it on the network for whatever reason, she's also been sticking flyers up around the city for it. Tataru's quite the busybody so if you need to come up with an excuse for your character/their business to get involved feel free to have them either have heard of it from local businesses that are participating in the festivities, the flyers or even Tataru herself if they have CR of some kind.

I want to play around with Little Ladies' Day after the tea event!: Go for it! Tataru's been working hard hustling local businesses and Mirrorbound alike to participate in the Eorzean tradition. Making a compelling case to incorporate it into Eostre's festivities, she's managed to arrange a few collaborations for the Ladies of Aefenglom to enjoy. Feel free to play around with local cafes or shops that may have special menus or deals on made in the spirit of the holiday. Also go wild when it comes to playing up your Little Lady and Loyal Seneschal roles. It's All Women Are Queens Day, after all.

[Which isn't actually answering Sokie's question, but it probably tells her everything she needs to know about it. He's relieved when she turns her attention toward his back. That territory is mostly safe, unless she ventures down far enough to toy with his tail.]

Is someone patronizing it? The radio doesn't cost anything to listen to.

[If not, where is the money coming from? In his times, if performers didn't collect coin during their shows, they were usually paid by some patron of the arts.]

[Oh Hector, you're in trouble. But she knows about tails. So no tail teasing, because else he'd have to retreat for a few minutes and she can't follow with the white cat on her lap.]

What they do instead is they pay for time on the radio, called advertisements. So it's not just one patron. It's many, but they don't have to pay as much, and it doesn't cost as much.

[Hector is definitely in trouble. He shudders, but he's spent enough time around vampires to know he'll only make her want to toy with him more if he protests.]

So the patrons all share you. Huh. That's...an interesting concept. How often do you perform. I would...like to listen to it.

[Oh...what a nice little shiver. He's lucky they're in public, else he'd get teased mercilessly.

Four times a week. Twice in the morning, twice in afternoon. You can listen to me...whenever you want.

[Hector's curious, so he'll tune in to see what kinds of things Sokie talks about. Maybe it will help him come up with more ideas to offer, once he knows the feel and structure of her performance. He can hope, at least. It's good to be able to be useful.]

[She could ABSOLUTELY kiss the cat in her lap if she wanted to. Continuing to tease Hector's ears is a choice. Because apparently she likes to see him blush. Which he is doing now.]

That's not...very conducive...to learning.

[And if this is what Sokie means, he can see why he'd need notes for his questions. Playing with his ears tends to shoo away all cohesive thought from his mind.]

[Hector is a Forgemaster of Dracula's army. He can't be 'cute'...probably. There's a warm, fluttery feeling in the pit of his stomach. Being teased and flirted with by a gorgeous woman is so...human. He's not a Forgemaster here. Just a man...well, a faun.]

[Hector ducks his head. Sokie's as bold as a succubus. He's never known a human who is as open about her intentions as she is.

He sure does miss that innuendo, though. He reaches out his hand to scratch the ears of the actual cat purring on her lap. He'll give that pussy all the attention she wants.]

[She's worse. She can tickle him about things that don't have to do with sexy times. But of course he misses that opening. Ah, slang. She'll make him blush more, but later.]

She's lovely. However-I don't think I'd make a good cat parent.

I tend to get focused on whatever work I have to do and then-that'd make for a hungry cat. Not to mention, I do like to go out whenever.

I know she'd need more love and attention then this.

Oh, I know pet ownership isn't for everyone. But...I'm glad you like her.

[Hector keeps so many pets, and it's important to him that the people he plans to spend time with will treat them well if they come around.]

I do. I do like animals.

[But, she isn't as avid of an animal lover as Hector is. Maybe because pets usually means she's setting down roots somewhere. It's not fair to them, but to her, that's what it means.]

And I haven't had a cat in...awhile. I'll think about it. I'll have to see if my house mates like cats, actually and...if a cat would be good around dragons.

You're not obligated to try to take one. I can keep taking care of her and the others, unless I find other Mirrorbound who are looking to adopt.

[The most important thing is that the animals are taken care of. Hector will take care of all of them, or send all of them (minus Cezar) home with others, whichever will be better for them.]

[She eyes him. He would be the type to o crazy animal owner wouldn't he. Please foster, she doesn't want to go to his place only to smell cat poop.]

Oh, I know a few. Viren, Persie, Eren...Asura is too, but that's different.

[Don't worry, Sokie, Everett is going to help him do the paperwork to apply for space for a proper shelter soon as soon as we come up with an appropriately punny name for it. And he at least keeps his apartment clean, though he's hopeless about decorating it.]

Oh, is that what Asura is?

[He's heard of Viren in passing, but Asura's the only one of that bunch he's met.]

Technically. To be more accurate, he's a Changling, but that's for him to tell you, not I.

[And she's still petting, but she's frowning, a bit, but not at Hector.]

Not that it's embarrassing, but it's a bit of a...loaded situation. And it's not something I want to talk about carelessly, especially without his awareness.

[Hector doesn't mean to pry. He's just...curious. Asura's a mystery he hasn't studied yet.]

The other dragons...you think they might not get along with cats?

[If a certain type of monster isn't compatible with his pets, he wants to know so he can make sure none try to adopt from him.]

You can ask him about it. I'm sure he'll tell you, if you ask politely enough.

[Not that she knows the nature of their relationship...well, it might make things interesting at least.]

Mm? Oh, I think they could get along fine enough. It depends on their personalities, not the monster factor.

[She shrugged.]

Their cats might end up grooming them though when they're small. I'd want to see it.

That sounds...[too adorable to stand]...like it would be worth observing. They would have to have a very close bond.

[Hector's seen that sort of behavior between cats and other furred mammals, but he's not sure how it would play out with something scaly.]

They may not be as demonstrative as dogs, but cats are very affectionate once they get to know and like someone.

It certainly would be. Dogs are very loud with their affections, but cats can be...very sweet, given the chance.

I've had cats before. I remember having one that would lick my nose to wake me up.

They had the roughest tongue.

Yes, rough tongues, and they aren't shy about using them. I feel like any cat that won you over would have to have been a handful.

[It's Little Ladies' Day, but that isn't going to keep Hector from teasing Sokie just a little.]

[Hector doesn't seem like a cat. He's more of a dog. You just have to approach him the right way, and his tail will go right off.]

She was. Then again, she was also a...feral adoption that won me over. She did all sorts of things, like eat my fish, so I had to learn ways that she couldn't get it before I was ready to fed her.

Yes, sometimes an animal picks you, and there's just no helping it.

[Well, in Hector's youth, it had been demonic night creatures, but same difference.]
