Who: Blue Lion House + Voltron House!
When: 3/18
Where: Voltron House
What: Lance invites Bernie over and lets her bring over her two cool roommates.
Warnings: None, will update as necessary!
[ it started out as a simple hang out with bernadetta. lance and bernie had gotten into the swing of going on friend-dates (which were often misinterpreted as being actual dates), and this was just going to be another one of those in which bernie was going to teach lance how to draw. that quickly changed, though, when lance remembered that felix and sylvain were her roommates, and look. they're cool dudes, okay. the friend-date turned into a mini party and lance actually had to prepare some food for everyone to dig into. gotta be a good host, after all!
he'd given the rest of the house a voltron head's up and sent them invites as well, and now, they're here in the lounging area of the mansion. well, supposedly. it's possible that cryptids like keith are coming in and out of the house, who heckin' knows. ]

Allura | OTA
[Without Coran here to help direct and manage the efforts of a party, Allura takes the place as second-in-command to Lance's party planning. Which means making the lounge spic and span, with tastefully arranged furniture and cushions for everyone to sit. She's much more used to the grand balls and gatherings that were held in the castle rather than an intimate gathering of seven, but that didn't mean the event couldn't be special. She's even brought in a fresh bouquet home from work to put in a vase on one of the end tables.
During the party, however, Allura takes the surprising role as wallflower, especially early on. She finds one of the aforementioned comfortable cushions off to the side and sits, legs curled up under her while she watches Lance flit around. And she'll comment, perhaps to the person sitting nearby,]
I don't think Lance ever gets tired of talking to people.
[Or have your character approach her with the conversation starter of choice!]
B.The nunvil one.
[She's been working on something very special at Diplomatea during some downtime. While her job is serving drinks rather than inventing them, she can't help but try and make an old (slightly alcoholic) Altean classic: Nunvil. And she brings out a tray of her most recent attempt.]
I think I am a little closer this time. Have a glass. [Be warned: well made Nunvil tastes like hot dog water and feet. But it makes your hair look great.]
C. Wildcard
[What it says on the tin.]
b
Princess, I'm gonna have to pass on that. Respectfully, of course.
[ he's not that brave, okay. ]
no subject
But I need a second opinion to see if I got the flavor right.
[Their guests don't know what real Nunvil tastes like.]

B
[She has absolutely no idea what this is. But do you think she'll ever turn down something Allura has offered to her? Nope. Probably not ever. She's far too in awe of her. After all, just look at Allura! (Look, Bernie is essentially a baby bi who has no idea she's bi but oh no cute girl is cute.)
Anyway! Allura is her friend and that means protecting Allura's happiness! So that means if she made a drink she'll try it!
...even if she doesn't know what it is. Maybe she should ask?]
What is it?
no subject
It's a drink called Nunvil. Alteans used to serve it at parties all of the time.
[And Allura takes a glass of her own,]
Admittedly, I don't have all of the proper ingredients so it's the best that I could do. I think I managed to get pretty close.

But this is nice. A small gathering of friends is a welcome reprieve in the chaos of being dragged into a new world, so when he spots Allura sitting off to the side by herself, he ends up settling on a pillow next to her.
(And isn't that reminiscent of the first time they met?)
He's content to sit in companionable silence, but is just as content to talk with her, turning to face her when she speaks.]
Heh, I can't say I mind, when it brought us all together like this.
no subject
Maybe that's what the Blue Lion saw in him- he was the one that brought everyone to my castle in the first place as well.
[She didn't say it enough, but Lance has a talent for bringing people together, and there's fondness in her voice when she talks about it.
Then, being a good hostess:] Are you comfortable? There's more food in the kitchens if you need more.
Bernie | OTA
[Bernadetta honestly is very bad at socializing in groups. But she still wants to be there with everyone! Because these are all people she's met! She even likes them! Still, she's easiest to find somewhere off to the side where she can mostly watch everyone with a little smile on her face. It's nice to see everyone having a good time!
Should she be approached she'll blink in surprise before offering a smile.]
This is nice.
[She's having fun! Promise!]
B. It wasn't even a full glass...
[The drink tasted awful. But Bernie is too polite to refuse it! And so she's had...
Okay, let's face it, she's had maybe three sips of it. And now she's flushed and wandering about with it in her hand and... Yep, she's definitely giggling. A lot. Like she's just consumed something highly alcoholic instead of just barely. Little Bernie is one hundred percent drunk as she stumbles about.
Welcome to her new Fae life, guys. Even she didn't know.]
a
Yeah? I'm glad you came out, Bernie.
[ he smiles softly at her. ] Do you need anything? I know being around a lot of people can be a little overwhelming for you, so...
no subject
Thank you.
[Taking a bite, she just melts happily. Then she shakes her head a bit.]
I'm okay. It helps that you guys don't mind if I sit over here. This is really yummy by the way.
[The cookie, she means.]

[Okay, so he hasn't had any of the drink in question, but he's already feeling a considerable buzz, which is... disorienting at best. It feels like he's already had a few glasses of wine by the time he finds her, flushed and giggling as she seems to have trouble keeping her balance.]
Are you alright?
[She... seems alright. She certainly is emanating happiness, but also... she's really, really far gone, so he needs to check on her.]

Hiii!
[She's totally fine. Definitely fine.]
Hi.
[And she forgot she just said that.]

Keith / OTA
[For anyone stopping by early (or if you just live here), Keith can be found helping out in the kitchen. By which we mean he's opening up bags of junk food and pouring them into bowls because nobody trusts desert gremlins who've lived off a diet of hot pockets to do actual cooking. Still, it looks as though he's tense about this whole "party" shindig, occasionally muttering do I have to be here for this under his breath when he thinks nobody's around.
But the second he hears someone approaching, he puts on a very forced smile -- more of a grimace really, then states in a shade just above monotone:]
I am having so much fun. Already.
B. A Warm Reception
[Whoever decided it was a good idea to let Keith handle opening the door and showing the guests around unattended is probably ecstatic about their decisions because Keith is, of course, handling this with aplomb. By which we mean, he's approaching with a large bowl consisting of potato chips of various flavors mixed with marshmallows and chocolate candy in one hand and one of two dual swords in the other. It's not pointed at anyone's throat or anything (please, we're not Sasuke here) but it's certainly being used as an index finger substitute.]
Hi. [He'll hold out the bowl to offer up some food as some kind of peace offering.] Lance isn't done moisturizing yet. [Pointing with the sword to a room down the hall.] Bathroom's over there. [Another point to a closet by the door.] Leave all your weapons in there. I don't want any problems here.
C. Couch Hang Outs
[Or if by some miracle you've managed to avoid Keith playing host at the door, he'll be hanging out on a couch at the party with a small black kitten curled up and purring loudly in his lap. Between ear skritches, Keith will make an attempt to get up every so often which yields some very displeased yowls. He is, in other words, super trapped on the couch right now. Resigning himself to his fate of cat cushion, Keith turns to look at whoever else is on the couch.]
So how exactly do you guys know each other?
[Or you know, feel free to approach Keith with your own convo starter.]
A - before the party shenanigans.
Until things very suddenly feel not normal. It starts with a sudden surge of growth in the bouquet Allura brought back home. Then one of the faucets in a washroom freezes over. And, well, Keith's cat might be sporting a pink tuft of fur on it's backside. She's nearly broken out in a sweat from the waves of magical energy that had felt like nothing before was very suddenly feeling out of hand.
Retreating into the kitchen, she spots Keith, dumping a bag of cheese-flavored triangles into a bowl.]
Keith. There's a problem.
no subject
A problem?
[His brow furrows as he instinctively reaches for a knife on the counter. Fucking parties. He KNEW this party was going to be nothing but trouble, damn it.]

[ lance is just gonna casually prop his arm on keith's shoulder, smirking over at him. he knows just how much fun keith's having. (it's none at all, really.) ]
Now pour out that last bag of chips and go introduce yourself to everyone.
[ well. assuming keith hasn't already met them already. part of this is for lance's own amusement, yeah, he'll admit that...but after his talk with keith, he kinda just wants to see the guy having some fun. at least a liiiiittle fun. maybe felix or sylvain or bernie will draw that out of him. ]

For the record, I'm not helping out with the cleaning.
[Because uh... well, thanks to Allura's earlier mishap there may be some potato chips on the counter and on the floor.]

You must be Keith.
[Yeah, he's heard about you, buddy.]
Nice to finally meet you.
[And he'll give a short little half-bow by way of greeting before actually going to remove his weapons without a fuss. No sense in making a scene anyway, and he doesn't feel like they'll be necessary.
So there goes a sword from his belt. And a knife. And another knife out of his boot. Look, just because he didn't drag his lance along doesn't mean he's unarmed.]

[ There’s a knock on the door, opened to reveal a Felix who’s a little mussed and definitely seen better days. Guess who’s late and reeks of a pungent mix of fish and wet dog? This guy. No, he’s not going to explain the smell. ]
Am I at the right place? I was told to come here for a party.
[ The thunderclap expression is his party face. ]
B. He’s Hangry
[ That Felix is present at all is a miracle in itself, but here he is scowling darkly down at a bowl of strange, cheese-smelling somethings with all the energy of a man who’s just witnessed a corpse placed in front of him. ]
Is there any meat in this house, by chance?
C. Wildcard! Go nuts

Dunno. You should try those, though. They're not bad.
[Kind of salty. Definitely cheesy. Crunchy. They're weird, but he didn't dislike them when he'd tried them earlier, so... he doubts Felix would hate them.]
Glad you could make it, by the way.
