Books, Books, and You Guessed It, More Books: Coven Library (OPEN)

[To some, doing research is far from relaxing. But in the case of the woman curled up in a chair in the corner of some far section, books are a relaxing matter. With the stress for the past couple of moons mostly gone, Mira can get back to work on researching and reading up on new schools of magic. While she does enjoy her alchemy and offensive magics, she needs to focus more on the school she has taken some smaller looks in but important for some: Illusions.

Now she isn't the type to like to hide herself but she can see the benefits for it. That and ponder how to combine this art with the other magics already learned. Mira likes a challenge and as long as she's not overworking her body, it should be fine. But she may have grabbed a few more books than expected. Did you need that book on Illusions? She may have it so it wouldn't be harmful to ask about it.]

What Is Shopping For Yourself?: Shopping District (OPEN)

[Shopping for Mira usually consists of getting either potion ingredients or food and sundries for the house. When it comes to herself, anything outside of the essentials is rather off limits for her. Blame her own upbringing but Mira didn't mind it. She didn't pay much attention to clothing and fashion; her idea of fashion is 'is it comfortable and if it is sturdy enough for more grueling activities.

She can't wear her armor everywhere after all.

But it's one store that Mira can't help but stop and look through the window, noticing the clothing inside. There's a variety between trousers and suits and even dresses and skirts. And they certainly look comfortable to walk around in...]

Wait, what am I doing? I shouldn't even think about it.

[Yeah, poor person guilt here. Hard to get rid of.]

If All Else Fails...Tea: DiplomaTea (OPEN)

[Libraries are not good for wanting to eat or drink since it may hurt the books. But thankfully, Mira remembers the shop where the Valentione's celebration was held and she was in the mood for some good tea. With her nose in a book, she is also going to be trying some teas.

And by trying, we mean order several different blends at once and the table having several cups. What? She's adventerous. Mild flavor? Crazy flavor? She's trying it. Don't question it...or maybe you should.]

To Feel The Warmth Of Another: House Darkness (Closed to Housemates)

[Emotions have been tough to deal with lately. She gets that with the conversations between those she knows and the past events. But oddly enough, she gets an idea and honestly does not know where it will lead. However, they will notice the extra pillows and blankets somehow going missing if they need one.

But in reality, they're all in the living area as Mira is arranging them in some odd way with any tables or chairs pushed off to the side. Girl, what are you doing?]

[ She trapped herself with that joke, huh? Her face grows the same shade of red as her hair in an instant. ]

W.. What? N-No, you have the wrong idea! Momiji and I aren't like that! [ They still totally hug and act super clingy though. That much she can deal with. But kissing is a whole level beyond that. ]

[That in turn makes Mira giggle and grin. Sometimes Bonded just be like that! As long as the trust is there, that's all that's needed. No one needs to go deeper than friendship if they don't want to.]

[ Asahi still looks embarrassed, but she lets out a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She does know other Bonded are like that, but that just makes it even more embarrassing when she thinks of how many people might assume there's something going on between her and Momiji too..

Better to try and get her mind off that by focusing on something else. ]

.. so.. were you looking at the clothes here?

[Friend Bonds are still very good, not every one will consist of kissing and touching of that sort.]

[ Asahi turns to look at the ones on display as well. Even if Mira is pretending to be uninterested - and Asahi may be falling for it, if not just a little - Asahi seems to have enough interest for the both of them. ]

Just look at that skirt over there, it's so cute..!

[Well, at least she's not going to try and get her to buy a thing. Yet.]

Normally I do not glance at skirts so much but it does look rather lovely. More of the trousers sort myself but seeing new things is nice.

Ahh, I guess that makes sense.. [ She glances over to Mira, as if she can somehow see from her current looks that the other isn't a skirt type. ]

It's since you're so cool, huh? With that big armor you have and all that.

Cool? Usually I stay warm with my armor on.

[She is from a weird fantasy universe where cool literally means temperature. What is this lingo?]

[ For a moment Asahi looks really confused. A word like 'cool' is so normal to her, she throws it around all the time! So she doesn't even realise yet that maybe Mira just doesn't know the word, so what she says sounds really random.

.. it slowly starts to click together in her mind after a few moments. ]

Oh..! Wait, you've never heard of 'cool' before? People don't say that where you come from?

[ Or is Mira just a secret grandma. ]

When they do, they speak of temperature. Does it mean something else on your star?

[Like a new language of sorts? Terminology differences?]

[ Okay. Maybe it's a little bit of both.

It's that thought that makes Asahi unable to fully surpress a laugh, and so she snorts. It's not meant in a rude way though, this is just how she is.. ]

Yeah, it does. People would call you oldfashioned if you didn't know what it meant where I'm from. It means.. something like 'amazing', I guess?

[Hey hey, she's only 27 years old! But that does sound a bit odd; if cool means amazing, does it no longer mean cold? Or maybe it is the context of how it is written or spoken? The intent of the phrase? That is rather fascinating.]

So it means something good...is it the same with 'hot' as well?

Ah, well..

[ She should probably teach Mira the nuances of that word before she uses it in the wrong context and makes things really, really awkward, huh. ]

Sometimes they do talk about popular stuff by saying it's 'hot' and all, like 'this is a hot item' or something like that.. But it can.. uh..

[ Asahi is 100% the wrong person to explain this. Her face is turning red. ]

It can also mean.. you know.. 'attractive'. When you're talking about people.

[She hums in reply, tapping her chin in thought. Mira is taking this more as a lesson just in case it comes up in conversation. You know, understanding the context and all.]

Ah, I see! So it depends on the subject in question on how it is used! Usually I hear words such as lovely or beautiful for attraction but that is new for something rather popular.

[Learning nerd, oops.]

[ Maybe it's for the best that Mira takes it in a super nerdy sort of way. It makes it slightly less embarrassing for Asahi, even though only mentioning the word 'hot' in the talking about people context makes her feel like dying in general.

So she'll gladly focus on the other half of it, thanks. ]

I'm not sure if they do it everywhere or just where I come from, but I saw items being called hot in ads all the time back home. If this was my home, the whole storefront would probably be full with signs mentioning it.

Maybe so it would sell. I'm shite when it comes to fashion and what is the most popular but from a merchant's standpoint, tis possible.

[Thinking about it reminds her of Tala and how she's doing.]

But I suppose the outfits in the window here are more than needed to speak for themselves.

Right? Sometimes simple is just the best.

[ Especially since Asahi obviously hates false advertising. Even moreso than the average person, since she has such disdain for lies.. ]

[Oh. Well, it sounds more like a choice than a strong arm attempt and Mira can be grateful for it. And she asked rather nicely.]

Since you asked so nicely, I wouldn't mind try that with you.

[ Mira is just lucky to fall into the category of people Asahi respects enough to not haul around like a ragdoll whenever she gets a slight idea.. ]

W.. Well, it wasn't so nicely, that's just normal-people-polite!

[ Granted, she often isn't even on the regular level of polite most of the time. So this is already a lot by her standards. ]

But alright, let's go in then and find something that looks nice..!

To be fair, the last time someone tried to put me in a dress, it was not so nice.

[See? You're nicer already as she opens up the door for Asahi, taking a look just in case there is someone waiting to surprise them.]

[ Asahi wanders into the shop less carefully. But it's more since she definitely has a goal in mind. There's a rack with cute skirts right there, and she definitely wants to look through them all, even as she's talking to Mira at the same time. ]

Really? They weren't forcing you, were they?

Rather pushy they were. 'Twas before the masquerade and I suppose they wanted the business of a Mirrorbound showing off.

[Yeah, and with the threat of leaving a bad review and spreading it around shut them up immediately. Mira can't help but feel satisfied at the result but takes notice of where her young friend is looking.]

Fancy some of those? Perhaps it is fine for you to try some on.

.. yeah, they're really cute. [ Somehow it's said in a more low-energy way compared to the way Asahi usually speaks though. It's not too hard to imagine why that is just by looking at her facial expression. There's something kind of shy or embarrassed in it, even as she pulls out a few of the skirts to hold them up and compare them. ]

B.. But, geez! Why do people go around thinking they can just force that kind of thing on someone else? Just let everyone decide themselves what they want to try!

Desperation or an opportunity I suppose. But I believe the first suited them more; I have a friend who deals in business and she has seen her share of those desperate to sell their wares.

[Ok, something's up with the girl. Hmm.]

[ The question makes her blink up in surprise for a moment. ]

Huh? .. Sure, I guess.

[ Which means she does end up grabbing one of the skirts, since she really wants to try it on. Even if she's a little shy about it. But it'd just look stupid if she'd go for something else after looking through all these! ]
