[Open] Catchall Log
Who: Mira and YOU
When: All throughout March
Where: Aefenglom, locations listed in the prompts
What: Catch all for the month
Warnings: Potential Shadowbringers Spoilers, feels, and maybe some derp and nerdy
Books, Books, and You Guessed It, More Books: Coven Library (OPEN)
[To some, doing research is far from relaxing. But in the case of the woman curled up in a chair in the corner of some far section, books are a relaxing matter. With the stress for the past couple of moons mostly gone, Mira can get back to work on researching and reading up on new schools of magic. While she does enjoy her alchemy and offensive magics, she needs to focus more on the school she has taken some smaller looks in but important for some: Illusions.
Now she isn't the type to like to hide herself but she can see the benefits for it. That and ponder how to combine this art with the other magics already learned. Mira likes a challenge and as long as she's not overworking her body, it should be fine. But she may have grabbed a few more books than expected. Did you need that book on Illusions? She may have it so it wouldn't be harmful to ask about it.]
What Is Shopping For Yourself?: Shopping District (OPEN)
[Shopping for Mira usually consists of getting either potion ingredients or food and sundries for the house. When it comes to herself, anything outside of the essentials is rather off limits for her. Blame her own upbringing but Mira didn't mind it. She didn't pay much attention to clothing and fashion; her idea of fashion is 'is it comfortable and if it is sturdy enough for more grueling activities.
She can't wear her armor everywhere after all.
But it's one store that Mira can't help but stop and look through the window, noticing the clothing inside. There's a variety between trousers and suits and even dresses and skirts. And they certainly look comfortable to walk around in...]
Wait, what am I doing? I shouldn't even think about it.
[Yeah, poor person guilt here. Hard to get rid of.]
If All Else Fails...Tea: DiplomaTea (OPEN)
[Libraries are not good for wanting to eat or drink since it may hurt the books. But thankfully, Mira remembers the shop where the Valentione's celebration was held and she was in the mood for some good tea. With her nose in a book, she is also going to be trying some teas.
And by trying, we mean order several different blends at once and the table having several cups. What? She's adventerous. Mild flavor? Crazy flavor? She's trying it. Don't question it...or maybe you should.]
Oh...what is this I'm tasting?
[Definitely ask.]
To Feel The Warmth Of Another: House Darkness (Closed to Housemates)
[Emotions have been tough to deal with lately. She gets that with the conversations between those she knows and the past events. But oddly enough, she gets an idea and honestly does not know where it will lead. However, they will notice the extra pillows and blankets somehow going missing if they need one.
But in reality, they're all in the living area as Mira is arranging them in some odd way with any tables or chairs pushed off to the side. Girl, what are you doing?]

To offer assistance when needed then? Don't I know the type.
[She is the type but Mira is trying to ease up on the help unless she wants to be sick in bed again.]
no subject
[ AKA poke her nose in and maybe make things better or worse, depending. ]
no subject
It feels more like something I should choose but...I was looking at these garments in the window. The fact that they are rather nice looking doesn't help matters in the slightest.

no subject
[Like seriously, when you spend most of your childhood in a poor area, the things your mind does to try and parse why you shouldn't do the thing.]
no subject
[ She is trying to be an enabler here. ]
no subject
[One cannot simply break that kind of habit so easily. It's hard.]
no subject
[ C'mon, live a little. She's trying to be helpful! ]
no subject
[She lives plenty! Dark Knights have more fun than most!]
no subject
[ Iramaat scoffs and offers her arm. ]
I insist.
no subject
And she's not taking her arm. Sorry, but still a stranger.]
Fine, I will take a better look.
no subject
Fantastic! See? You can live a little...

[Second one right now as Mira opens the door and pokes her head inside. The shop itself is nicely lit and clean and doesn't seem to have any pushy seamstresses so far so she steps inside quietly.
Ok so she hasn't been noticed. Good. Hopefully it stays that way and no one makes any loud declarations.]
no subject
What do you think about this one?
[ Lots of frills. Lots of volume. Fancy. ]
no subject
I'm afraid that I would get lost in such a garment. Just vanish within the fabric.
no subject
[ She taps her chin with a frown. She is determined to do something with all of this tonight. ]
Something with a bit less flash...? [ She fingers a more subdued dress. It's still got a bit of pep to it, but it's also not so... much. ]
no subject
[Do you realize how hard it's been to resist saying that she should try that horrible first dress? It seriously looks like a namazu drank too much tea and asked his buddies what kind of crazy they can put on a festival outfit. But the second one...ok, it doesn't look as bad.]
I'm not the flashy type. The more comfortable, the better in my opinion.
[Can it be found in this place? Who knows.]
no subject
[ She's been glancing around and thinking about finding something, but honestly her first priority is this absolute stranger she's "helped" into checking things out. ]
What about something like... that? [ she points at another dress. It's a bit more utilitarian, modeled after a work-dress of some sort, but still gussied up to be more high society. ]
no subject
This...this isn't bad actually.
no subject
[ She squints, clearly trying to imagine what it might look like. ]
Or is the color not very flattering?
[ So far they haven't attracted the attention of anyone trying to sell them something.
Yet. ]
no subject
[Not to mention the color is rather nice. After all, red is her favorite shade considering she somehow wears it in everything.]
And the fabric does feel rather easy to move in...
[Please for the love of Halone, no merchants until needed.]
no subject
[ This is simple logic! Iramaat is quite sure of it. ]
Or... hmm. Maybe something with a higher collar? [ She puts her chin in her hand and tilts her head as she eyes her new acquaintance. ]
What sort of styles do you usually go for?
no subject
I...I don't really know what my style is. My thoughts usually go to if I am able to wear it and move around since my choice of weapon is heavier than most.
[If she had Shadowbringer with her, she would be able to explain more. But she dusts off her trousers and looks down at her go to item that she does enjoy: her black thigh high stiletto boots.]
Does these [Pointing to said boots] count as a style?
no subject
[ She's curious. She sounds like a warrior, honestly, what with the talk of large weapons. Still, there's something to be said about boots. She adores boots. ]
Oh-
[ She glances down and positively beams. ]
I love those. I'm just sad that I have hooves so I can't really wear anything like that anymore. So yes, those would absolutely count as a style.
no subject
[Such as the Rathmore raid. Boy did some of those nobles did not enjoy getting stabbed (see cleaved) but it was their own fault for striking first. But looking down at the other's hooves and how she missed them, Mira can't help but feel bad.]
Oh, I'm sorry that you can't wear them anymore. Maybe they'll make a style for hooves that will be comfortable?
(no subject)
oh god i missed this, i'm so sorry ;-;
no worries!!
