( first thing's first in order to start his day off, wei wuxian already knows how to properly flirt — before he died and transmigrated into his new body.. he was the ideal. so it's not like he lost any of that cute charm of his right? so what does he decide to do to make this go smoothly? well, he's put together a little booth outside of the tenth cafe he's asked of the manager that found wuxian endearing enough to accept. it took a bit of flirting but sometimes, one has to strut their stuff.

so here he is, using a table from the cafe and set up in front; a jar sitting next to him and a sign he's painted himself above his head with:

honestly, cute advertisement if he does say so himself so with that, the cultivator winks at his first target. there's a smile on his features, his best attempts at feeling inviting which he isn't up to anything bad! ) Who do we have here, would you like to try?

( if you return later in the night, wei wuxian will still be in this same spot though a little different than before. what's noticeable is the lotus flower resting in his hair. why is it there? maybe for the cute factor for extra kisses! does it persuade you? any of you? well, he's not too sure how he got this problem either but hey! 300 cunes for a free infection, can you even go wrong with that? )

✔ — ( ooc: so in this one (1) prompt, wwx has been affected by ehrendil, which happens to be a sickness binghe and kyun infected him with; which he isn't aware. so you can pay money for a KISS and a DISEASE. really! a two for one? really cheap! symptoms may include but are not limited to: itchiness where plant life begins to sprout, flora sprouting from the skin, increased desire for sunlight, extreme thirst, the gradual spread of flora to internal structures, including the lungs, and emitting a sweet scent irresistible to bees and butterflies. )

b. flowers and the city;

( this quest doesn't sound so hard, something about getting money and wei wuxian has never been against some funds. now it's what can he do to make this perfect, wandering around the entertainment district to learn what people do for fun. there's various activities but nothing speaks to him until his eyes fall upon a few people singing together; catching the attention of various people and that is good enough. he snaps his fingers, pleased before looking for a corner that's hardly preoccupied by anyone with the same idea and enough strangers that maybe he'll get the attention of someone.

he pauses, posting himself up and using a bucket he's found to sit next to him and a sign hung from it saying "if you like, you like! please pay me for good efforts!", at least he's going his best. it'd be a nice past time because he likes doing this anyway so there's no skin off his bones as he pulls a bamboo flute out from his sleeve, giving it a look over before thinking on what melody to play. he watches the people walk back and forth, minding their business and decides to speak up for a moment. ) Sisters! Brothers! Yes, yes you! Listen to me play! If you like it, won't you show your gratitude? If you dislike, I understand but I'll do my best! So listen, listen! ( which he hopes someone is willing to hear him out, so he presses his back against the wall of a building he's standing in front of; sliding down as he brings his flute to his lips. he blows air into the instrument to begin playing a melody that he's learned back home. )

c. flowers and the city;

( he's not lost, no way, but he's following his donkey around in hopes to make it listen to him. it may be a little embarrassing to people who don't know him, but wei wuxian has never been able to make this creature do what he asks. people say that animals have a mind of their own, do what they want without caring what their partners say and it's true about li'l apple. ) Stop that! You'll get lost if you don't stick with me! Li'l Apple..! Li'l Appppllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

( is the donkey listening? well no. but the creature decides to handle this problem of his, walking around in search for apples is growing tiresome — he's hungry. so rather than moving around blindly waiting for wei wuxian to make conversation, he hurries this by picking a random stranger and what does li'l apple decide to do? looking straight at wei wuxian, eye to eye, the donkey huffs before moving closer to it's prey and biting whoever right on their ass!

horrible! horrible. is what he's thinking, rushing over to grab the reigns on his evil pet, pulling them and quickly: ) Forgive me! I'm sorry about that, Li'l Apple gets so cranky when he doesn't have anything to snack on. ( and then, it comes to him.. normally people are persuaded by cute pets and maybe if li'l apple calms down; this can work. a hand raises to pat at his animal's head, he pats the person's lower back to dust it off, no ass touching here. )

d. runetchers;

( it's actually a simple job to him, he's use to working on creating symbols and such on talismans back home that he feels like it'll be a breeze. now, implementing enchantments in them are another story which he's done that as well but.. will it have the same effect? he wouldn't know nor does he care enough to truly find out but the there's a bell that jingles as soon as someone walks into the shop, alarming wei wuxian to quickly get to his feet and start the day. )

Welcome, welcome! How may I help you here? Oh, maybe you'd want to hear about our specialties! So today, I've been working on something great! Come and see, come, come. ( he's waving for the person to follow him, moving to a desk close by that's covered in paper talismans with various markings etched in each other. ) This one is really good, I tried it and got a bird to visit me. It's an Animal Attraction Talisman, any little creature you can think of will be summoned to this! We can try it out, free of charge!

( holding out the talisman to the other, the markings are quite creatively done. his strokes are better than others but now will his magic be any good? well, he's been told what to do to get the right affect and when he tried it; it seems good. ) What do you say?

[ these . . . these are cool. the carvings, the curves–! it screams something wild, right? nishinoya’s an easy customer to get hold of once he has change in his pockets, taking the talisman into his cupping hand and exposing the handiwork. ]

I don't seeeee why not? ( as the other takes in wuxian's drawing skills, the male reaches out to take it back but it'll all make sense soon. ) Now tell me, if we summon a whole murder.. are you gunna tell your friends to come here and be amazed?

( he questions, eyeing the other both up and down, coming to the conclusion that he doesn't look like someone who'd deny buying a cute simple talisman like this. even by the expression he's making, he seems to really want to indulge in the activity so a smile pulls at the corner of wei wuxian's lips as he gives a nod. ) It's meant to bring any animal but if you want, we can change it to a specific one.

( at his desk, he picks up a brush with the tip dipped in cinnabar, about to edit the rune on the talisman but he waits for confirmation. ) Crows aren't bad, they're actually pleasant creatures, y'know?

(chanting) birds!!! birds!! birds!!!

[ you’ve got him: he gasps at the thought. the big “o” his lips form begin to spread wide into an ecstatic grin, situating himself on the balls of his feet, like he’d be able to see what he’s doing as well as please tell me more. ]

‘Course! Crows are vicious!! They’re my school’s mascot! [ he seems positive when he says “vicious”. go crows!! to show him, nishinoya turns around and points at the kanji of his black jacket: KARASUNO HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL ] Can you really—?!

( as the other speaks, wei wuxian is already drawing onto the paper, a slow stroke of his brush until he feels satisfied with the results. the other is quite excited, drawn into his own world and the older can't help but turn his head towards the male with a smile. )

Vicious? Yes, they can be depending on who they listen to but to me.. ( it seems like nishinoya is more on the harmless side than anything vicious; maybe he's kind! who knows, that positive air about him could mean there's something deeper and darker just waiting to be freed! who is wei wuxian to know? but as he turns around to expose his back to him, he reads the name and nods trying to keep it in mind. )

High school? I've never heard of such a thing, is it like heaven? That's really high up! ( wei wuxian circles him, so that he's in front of the male and he doesn't have to turn around again. ) Yes, yes! It shouldn't be that hard to do but it's all fixed up. All done! I think we'll be able to summon many of them like this! Waaa! ( the thing they have to do is venture outside because summoning any wild beast into the shop would be a bad idea, he doesn't want to clean up anything because of birds that are excited for attention. so with a step forward, he checks to see if the other is following to the exit of the shop. ) Let's go!!

[Justine peers at the cute sign and its painted hearts while a light teasing smile tugging at her lips. Her dark eyes briefly meet the handsome strangers only to bashfully look away again.]

Alright, we can fix this! It'd be wrong of me to allow a maiden to go unkissed! I'm a Cultivator of my word so.. ( he snaps his fingers, looking around at who walks past them and hopes this doesn't sound too odd. )

Perhaps you have something else you can offer? A ring? Some magical item? I'm sure a handsome man like me and a beautiful woman like you can make something happen! ( he's a charmer, of course, but damn, alright, he's gotten farther than he expected for the day. yay, wuxian! highfive, wuxian! )

[The corner of Justine's lips lift into a light teasing smirk.] I'm not sure if Sister is an appropriate nickname if you want to be kissing. [The remark is soft, her voice sweet and teasing.]

I haven't been here very long to have much.

[She has the locket hanging around her throat but it had been a gift and she isn't about to offer up the gift to another.] How about this? [She dips her fingers into a small leather bag on her hip and pulls out a glimmering rainbow shell. It looks like any shell but then Justine focuses on it and a little spark of magic alights in her palm. At the center of the shell is a soft glowing ball of blue light, like a mysterious pearl.]

Oh!? What do I call you if not "Sister"? I'm being courteos and respectful towards you, I couldn't dare call you anything else! ( yes, he couldn't imagine being rude towards her and then the poor sister doesn't even have money on her! it's only worrisome! )

[Picking up life here after being uprooted has been both easy and difficult for Henry. So accustomed to drifting and lacking a place, he'd finally felt as though he had some sense of belonging with the Ylissean Army. That is, until they won the war. So he's transferred from one land to another, both in a state of relative peace. Truthfully, Henry's not sure how to spend his time if he's not fighting: not only is there hardly a military demand, but his magic is clumsy and unrefined now.

Magic and transformation. Those are two things that land on his radar of intrigue in this city. That's what brings him in today, hoping he'll find something of interest to sate one of his two lines of interest. He offers the chatty Wei Wuxian a pleasant smile while he tries to solicit the sorcerer with the ability to entice small animals to his side. Henry hums and leans in to admire the fine lines on the talisman before giving it a nod of approval.]

That's some nice, neat carving right there. It makes all the difference, huh? [Another nod.] But, sorry. I'm the wrong customer for a talisman like that. You see, the animals already flock to me! And I mean FLOCK. I can't get rid of 'em! Try walking across a battlefield while being visited by murders of crows while you're just trying to murder your foes. Sometimes it gets a little tricky, tossing a spell at the enemy while you've got a wing or three in your line of sight.

[He steps right up to the counter.]

No, I've got something else to ask you. Something in the vein of items for new witches! Think you can help?

( the gentleman that waltz in has a certain air about him, as friendly as he makes himself out to be — there's also this feeling that he should... be careful. he's met a few people that he should worry about, that he should keep a close eye on but people have stated that wei wuxian too is one of those people. so he throws the thought away, looking at the other as he sets his talisman down on the table despite being given positive feedback. it's the only item he's able to give a freebie of but he has to be a good merchant and give the best customer service — )

I'm glad you like it, to make one doesn't take long! You too? I'm surprised they get in your way, have you ever thought of using them to elevate your way of fighting? ( he speaks as if familiar, but he brushes it off just as quickly while the other inches closer. wei wuxian cants his head to the side, neatly putting a few slips of paper together just in case he'll need them. ) Perhaps we can remedy that later, it sounds like fun.

( of course, this isn't his shop.. he just works here so it honestly depends on whether it can be done. but wei wuxian has never been against learning something new or tinkering around with items to make new weapons and the like. he thinks on it, chuckling softly as he decides to take a bite at the male's thought. ) What are you interested in, it is my job to please every customer that comes through. ( he's interested, actually, the way henry delivers his thought is actually enticing and how can wei wuxian say no? he'd be a fool not to see what the other has up his sleeve. )

As long as I can utilize the stroke of a brush, we shouldn't be limited!

[Henry puts on a big smile, resting his hands atop the counter. The sound of the golden rings on each of his middle fingers clinks gently as he folds hand over hand.]

For now, I'm just looking for some charms to help me reign in my magic. Amulets, talisman, jewelry, I don't mind the medium. [Henry balls up his fists and brings them close to his chest emphatically.] I'm DYING to try some higher level magics on for a spell! But I'm so new to this coven that I can't even levitate a paper crane without upending the entire table onto one of the supervising witches. [He grins with his teeth.] Oh man, I nearly got wrung out for that one. She was out like a light! Had to go to the infirmary and everything.

Aaaanyway, I'm pretty sick of making these novice mistakes already. I've been told I've got a lot of thaumaturgic energy or whatever, but I'm back to square one here as a witch. So I was hoping I could do my regular studying by day... And stow away a few scrolls or runes for the nighttime. In case I need to perform an advanced spell! Transmutation, reanimation, voodoo... You never know what might come up, right?

[He provides this sample of magic so casually that it's as though he's suggesting that he wants to try a fun party trick. After his long explanation (and his alarming examples), Henry slams his palms back down on the counter and beams.]

So? So?! Got anything that'll channel my magic more efficiently? Unleash my potential? Even if it's just a one time use, I don't mind!

You're right, they do keep a pretty close eye on us to make sure we don't mess up. I can't fault you if your skills were able to do something! That means it'll come in handy later on, maybe you'll knock some monster out with just a snap of the finger! I'm thinking that's a great start. ( he's hearing him out, of course, that's what a seller is meant to do, to ensure that they give great service to their customer. everything he says though is actually interesting, bringing wei wuxian to raise his brow at the enthusiasm displayed. so they're both witches here which is a nice to hear, that everyone is searching for their own way to regain their magical properties from before.

not only what he's trying to do stands out to wei wuxian, it's how specific henry is as he speaks, with a few abilities that piques his interest. it sounds like someone has the same sort of mindset that he has which makes him even more comfortable with their conversation, playfully speaking up as a hand raises to his chin; thinking on the matter. ) How specific, but we wouldn't be "witches" if we didn't have magic we could use correctly, huh?

( but he's not making any movements to search for it, no, he can't allow this chance to pass him by when it's showing itself right then and there. he's picking up a talisman, looking at one of the markings to show that something like this won't do. so he turns, glancing at the bookshelves filled with not only pages of information but various items and jarred substances — why is this in a rune shop? well, it fits the atmosphere. ) I might have what you're searching for if you tell me about the reanimation you speak about!

( corpses, zombies, whatever people want to call them are literally wei wuxian's best friends despite the bad end he had with them. what matters is that it's something that he knows well, has experience in and maybe the other might have some information on it. coming to this world has taken a lot out of him, more power-wise than mentally or physically but there's always a place to start so his customer has his attention. ) There's got to be something, it's like you got that well thought out.

She's out and about and probably technically on the clock, considering she's wearing the jacket they give people who run the post about (and she has a mailbag over one shoulder, too), but that doesn't seem to stop her as she slows, giving him and his sign an appraising look. [ Iramaat laughs, grin spreading over her features. She likes the way he takes her teasing and sends it right back at her. [Suffering from insomnia while cursed with constant exhaustion is really, completely unfair of the universe(s). But here she is, wandering the streets and letting her feet and thoughts take her where they may.

She's not surprised that they bring her to a cafe. Food is always a comfort when music can't be, after all, and her MP3 player might be on it's last legs soon. She is surprised to see that she's stopped in front of an apparent kiss booth.

Arisato, you are not so desperate for comfort that you need kisses from a stranger, she thinks wryly. And yet the man sitting there looks so charming, and she feels like something in her soul has tugged her this way, that she pauses in front of him, shooting him a small (tired) grin.]

( it's actually pretty at night time, he isn't sure whether it's the stars above them or the cute girl that's made her way to his stand. he's thrilled, leaning forward in his seat as the palm of his hands press on the surface of the table to push him up to his two feet. he's ecstatic, smiling wide as he waits for her to come even closer to get a better look. the light from above only makes this feel rather angelic, he has no complaints as he speaks. )

( there's good intentions though his way of making money is quite odd, but whatever method will work — he's certainly going for it. ) Won't you help a man trying his best? [Call her a bleeding heart but the family excuse gets her every time. Her own part-time jobs were...well, a lot more conventional than what this guy is doing, but she worked her butt off and made every paycheck count for their sake. ( the difference between their hair is the flower wei wuxian has, not too sure how to get rid of it.. nor where it came from but he's sure it's harmless. what else could it be if not? it hasn't bothered him any so if it was something dangerous, it would have showed itself by now. all he's been doing is drinking water and asking random witches to cast light spells as if he needs to learn them in the dark. nothing bad about that! )

You may call me Mo Xuanyu, remember it well, alright ~ ( there's a wink sent her direction as he leans forward to fluff up her hair just a little more. it only takes contact for this disease to root itself on another person, but fingers rub strands of her hair between the pads and he can't help but compliment. ) It's really soft, so you must be really sort yourself! 300 and I bet your lips are too ~

[ Alex had never heard such a melody before. Flutes, yes, but not like this. Street performers were scattered here and there in Ergastulum, but she hadn't heard it played is such a way. It immediately pulls her in.

The long, flowing hair at first glance had her thinking it was a woman, but the musician turned out to be young man. The song he played was calming, entrancing even. When he stopped, it took her a moment to realize it was over and to start applauding him along with the rest of the people that may have gathered around.

She doesn't forget the bucket for donations, and she does pull out some coins from the small pouch she had to drop into the bucket. While she didn't have all that much yet, the man had earned it and she understood doing whatever you could to earn a living. ]

( he's not going to check the bucket to see how much she's given him, instead, he looks up to her and grey eyes makes sure to make a mental note of her appearance. wei wuxian sets his flute down in his lap, clasping his hands together as he nods towards the female. ) Thank you, thank you! You're way too kind, Sister! I'll never forget your kind donations.

( though she's the first, he can't help but think of something in kind to give back so he's curious, slowly getting up to his feet to get rid of the distance between them both. slipping his flute back into his robes, he looks around them both to see if anyone is watching that he should be playing for and since no one has a care about him at all. )

[ His exuberant thanks startles her a bit, but his cheer is rather infectious and she can't help but smile back.

He stands suddenly, which has hear leaning back slightly in surprise. ]
