(CLOSED)
Who: Jill & Wataru
When: Feoveuer 9 - 10
Where: Jill's apartment
What: Miss Bartender turning into a vampire
Warnings: Character death, trauma, injury, and overall sad times
[The sickness that was gradually claiming her life took a fast and escalated turn on the night of the full moon. Jill was weak enough that leaving her bed and her room was out of the question. She felt and looked like a mess, but that was honestly the least of her worries. Her breathing was hard and labored, she continued to cough up blood, and that wasn't even the worst of it.
Still, she tried her absolute best to at least get a single message out to Wataru, fingers trembling as they pressed each key.]
help
my room
[Jill hoped and prayed that he would be able to see the message. And if that wasn't enough, the sheer panic and fear being fed through the bond would likely be even more of an alarm.
Her eyes began to tear up as she weakly began to sob and cry in what would be her literal deathbead.
She didn't want to die alone.
She didn't want to die.
Someone.
Anyone.
Please.]

Yet, he found the strength to stay on his feet. Because he quickly realized those sensations of dread weren't coming from him. One thing about Bonds he learned from other people is that feelings can be shared, as much as dreams or memories, though he hadn't reached that level with Jill yet—
... Jill.
Wataru finally picked the watch up after fighting with his own body, hands shaking. Her short message confirmed his own fears.
He's at her apartment now, after running and running until he coughed up his soul from how hard his lungs have been clenching inside him. But he needed to go. Couldn't allow his physical limits to prevent him from reaching his friend. The whole time, he felt as though he was at an inch of his life, just like her.
That's what's happening after all. Jill is transforming. She's dying.
Wataru swings the door open and rushes to Jill's bedroom, where he finds her barely alive and bleeding. He coughs while rushing to her side, and despite his own conditions he immediately plants a hand flat on her chest, trying to imbue a healing spell that can at least sooth her pain. They're both sweating. There's blood everywhere. He can't panic right now. Damn it. ]
Stay with me, Jill... I'm here now, please don't be afraid anymore... it'll be over soon... you'll wake up and it'll be over.

She didn't want to be alone.
Jill opened her eyes and saw that Wataru had made it. She mustered up a weak smile, her face turning towards him.]
You're really here.
I'm... glad.
[The sickness continued progressing through her body, it wouldn't be long now.]
I'm sorry.
[Why was she apologizing? She'd done nothing wrong. Jill, while clearly not thinking straight, also felt bad that she was putting him through this hell.
Fortunately, the pain, and everything else came to end, as she quietly and peacefully closed her eyes for good, her entire body going limp.]
no subject
Some hero he is.
Jill apologizes and that snaps him back from the self-depreciation. ]
What are you saying? You did nothing, I-...
[ Another sharp pain in his chest has him double over. This can't be real. Such a hopeless feeling, the same that stabbed him when Mio died in his arms, and it's happening again, and he can't do anything. Back when they talked about Jill's transformation, he downplayed the whole thing and played brave while telling her he would be by her side. And he is, but... he can't stop the tears coming down. He's useless and now he'll be lonely and the void in his chest is gaping wider the closer she is to death.
He chokes up a sob when her eyes become dull and start closing as she falls into a deep sleep. ]
...
[ He withdraws his hands from her. It's useless to try healing a corpse.
With a shaky sigh, stumbling on his feet, he drags a chair over to her bed and sits down, hands dragging down his wet and flushed face. He's lonely. Something broke inside him and he can't recover.
Wataru just spends the next minutes weeping, immobile, waiting for her. ]

During this time, Jill had remained nothing more than a corpse. Her body growing colder and more pale by the hour.
Her eyes remained closed, her body completely still.
Until...
It starts as a mild twitching in her fingers and toes, and it begins to move to her arms.
Now that she'd dead, Jill doesn't even need to breathe. Instead, she just slowly begins to open her eyes.]

He didn't want to touch her stuff or eat her food, but missing the moment she'll wake up wouldn't be good for either of their mental health. Therefore he stayed, trying to take as little as possible, his low appetite helping with not feeling guilty.
It's weird to live next to a corpse. She's not really rotting, or at least he thinks vampires don't really rot as much as they wake up before that process really starts. Still, he tries to set his emotions aside to watch over her and keep himself updated on the time ticking.
He almost knocks the chair over when he sees the twitching, and is almost hovering over her when she opens her eyes. ]
Jill!
no subject
She becomes more aware of her surroundings.
Ah, yeah. This was her room.
And not only that, but even now, she wasn't alone!]
Wataru...
I'm...
[As she spoke, one would be able to notice her sharper teeth and especially longer canines. She began to lift her arms, wanting to wrap them around him. But it was the look in her eyes that would be the biggest giveaway.
That something was wrong.]
I'm hungry.
no subject
He stutters words that come out half done and it sounds ridiculous - he shuts his jaw and leans back heavily, breaking away from what he's fairly sure was an attempt to seize him. ]
You're...
[ Wataru tries to talk, again, but he has to breathe - the sight of her pale face mixed with red eyes and those teeth hit him square in the brain like a gut punch. Shaking his head, he grabs a hold of her arms. ]
Jill, you're back. I... I'm glad to see you again. [ He tries to direct the dialogue into something that doesn't concern her hunger. ] Are you... are you hurt anywhere?
no subject
Jill had held out until the very end. But ow that she was past it, the need was downright overwhelming.]
Hungry.
[He's got a grip on her arms, but she still attempts to reach out to him and grab him. She's weak enough that she can't really muster much strength, but her need just remains obvious as she opens her mouth, her fangs poking through once more.]
So hungry...
no subject
There's... only one way to make sure she doesn't pass out or die again. ]
Okay. Okay. I think...
[ Wataru trails off, shakes his head... then pulls at the collar of his shirt, exposing his neck. ]
I think this is necessary, so... go ahead.
no subject
There was very little "Jill" right now.
Only a creature acting on a singular instinct.
To feed.
And with his neck as close as it is, Jill quickly leans in, her fangs piercing through his skin.
It's her first time, but Jill acts as if she already knows what she's doing.]
no subject
Wataru reaches for her arms, with the intention of forcing her away in the unfortunate case she's drinking more than she's supposed to.
It would probably become a titanic effort the longer they're like this, with his energies being sapped away along with his blood. For now he thinks he can handle it, and allows Jill to take her food in until she either pulls out or he'll make her. ]
no subject
The need is intense, there's no mistake about that.
And for better or worse, the more she drinks, the clearer her thoughts get and the more aware she becomes.
Aware that she's biting right into his neck.
She pulls away in a hurry and...]
Wataru? What are you...
What's going on?
[Aware of the taste of blood in her mouth, too.]
Oh, god, what was I doing?
no subject
You were... "feeding" yourself, to put it lightly.
[ How was that even "lightly"? He can't find something else to define the act of a vampire sucking blood out of him.
But at least Jill seems to come back to her senses, and the look on her face tells him that he's hopefully no longer risking another blood loss. ]
How... are you feeling? Physically.
[ He can figure she's not so happy about this whole situation, so he won't delve into the emotional side of things. ]
no subject
Fuck.
Jill's mind is going a mile a minute trying to process what had just happened. She remembers being sick, and texting for Wataru for help. The rest is mostly a blur.
Then there was waking up and feeling... overwhelmed.]
I-I'm fine. Really.
I'm way more worried about you.
[Hang on, why wasn't she... needing to breathe?]
Wait, did I just suck your blood?
...
Am I dead?
no subject
Forlorn feelings are shown in his expression as he presses his lips together. ]
Yeah. To both questions. I'm sorry, Jill.
[ Her emotional state is more important to deal with than his injury right now. ]
no subject
If it was all some kind of weird dream.
But it... wasn't.]
... Huh.
[Was all she could really muster, raising her hands to look at them both.
Definitely more pale than she'd remembered.]
I feel mostly the same.
How do I look?
[Fortunately, Jill looks exactly the same as before. Her red eyes are more pronounced, and there's the obvious fangs, too. But... she looks pretty much like before.]
no subject
Your eyes are red, and... you have fangs. Otherwise you look the same as before.
[ Which is comforting to know, until he realizes there will possibly be further changes down the line. This is only the beginning. ]
no subject
Son of a bitch that's sharp.
[Would have to be, if the point is to pierce flesh.]
no subject
[ He knew firsthand how sharp those fangs were. Speaking of which, he needs a gauze for his wound, and something more effective to stop the blood with. He looks around, spots some paper towels, and apologizes to Jill before ripping some off and pressing them against his neck. ]
Do you have any medical tool I could use here?
no subject
[Jill hurried along and gathered some supplies. She doesn't quite have gauze, but she does have rubbing alcohol and some cotton balls to help. It was the least she could do after the mess she'd made.]
Is it bleeding a lot? We might need to see someone who can use some, uh, healing magic.
'Cause I sure as shit can't.
