The Room where it happens (open catch all!)
Who: Sokie and you!
When: All month
Where: All over the city and on the outskirts
What: Open starters for Sokie as she tries to be productive!
Warnings: TBA
I: Parliament
[There was a lot of listening on Sokie's part, which may have seemed unusual for those who Kew her. Usually she was chatty, filled with charm and wit- but in Parliament, she dressed in a formal business suit and took notes (and also doodled). In exiting a meeting, she paused outside of the building and took a few moments to stretch. Her butt felt sore for sitting still so long.]
My butt hurts. I guess this is why I've always turned down a desk job.
[She needed to do some yoga and have a run. And a bath.]
II: Radio Hour
[Anyone and everyone could call or text in, but Sokie would stay on voice since...well, she was on the morning hour with her radio advice show. Which was on right now, live.]
Hello dear listener, welcome to An Undertaking with Undertown. What question can I answer today?
III: Teaching Magic
[She left a notice on te boards again. It wasn't good last month, by this time...maybe She could help some of the newbies learn their magic or how to counter it.
She asked them to meet at the entry of Haven, and after some introductions, things would move on from there. Well. She got to the point really.]
So, what do you want to learn today?
IV: A different kind of practice
[It was true she had a baton, but it was the kidnapping and speaking to Sephiroth that was a wake up call. Heck, she might have even been denying it, since the snow storm.
But she found a smithy and was going through the weapons, one by one, trying to find which would suit her best. So far, nothing really caught her eye but...she found one, and lightly twirled tin in one hand.]
It feels nicer but I think I need to put this through its paces.
...hey. You wouldn't mind going for a round, right?
[Sorry curious customer and or passerby. Sokie wants a smol fite.]
V: A moment of quiet
[She was in a corner of a cafe, or maybe just in Diplomatea. As usual, there were books around her, papers of various formulae, but she seemed more interested in her tea or coffee then she was in her work. Seeing someone nearby, she made a beckoning motion with her hand.]
Don't worry, I can move my stuff. Why don't you come sit?
VI: Wildcard
All other options, including hunting outside of the city can be done here! Any questions, comments, can be directed to my discord or at my plurk!

So she keeps walking. Heading towards the shopping district. She had enough money for a blade... If she could find one she could use.]
What is your desk job?
no subject
[Now She could enjoy. Heck, she could even learn, if she so wished.
Sokie keeps walking alongside her, but the topic switch makes her snort softly.]
You could just say you're not interested in sex. I'll back off.
But as for the job, I'm on the Parliament council.
no subject
[Then she makes the connection and regrets her pace. Because she stumbles mid-step. Stopping for a moment to rebalance herself. It's easy enough but the flush is harder to get rid of. ]
Itsnot- uh huh.... [Hurrying again. Bye?
Except they've heading the same and she's still walking. Quickly. But it's a walk. ]
no subject
The radio, we'd enjoy. You and sex, we should talk about in privacy.
If you want to talk about it at all. I'll respect your wishes.
no subject
The radio? Why would we enjoy that?
[It's still rushed, and she's still flushed but. Changing topic. Focusing on new topic.]
no subject
Who knows, that's for another day.]
Because like I said, you can listen to various kinds of music, stories, advice and news.
You know if they had walkie talkies, It'd be a lot like the watches, but just on audio.
That's cool, right?
no subject
[She wasn't lying. There'd been a few times were she'd typed and sent a message that way. Talking to someone who just wasn't there was an experience.]
Its nice.
[That's it. That's all she had to say about the devices. ]
no subject
I remember how there was a time where letters could take months or years, if they weren't lost in the process.
[She used to live in those times. But. Well. She's old.]
no subject
[Mikasa wasn't actually sure. Other than it taking a while, there was a lot of ground to cover to deliver it. But she'd never had to send one, had no one to send them to. ]
no subject
I'm guessing you've never had a pen pal.
[That's almost sad.]
no subject
[Her taking the question completely seriously only made it sadder. ]
no subject
[She made a soft noise, peering at Mikasa.]
No wonder you don't know how to deal with me. I knew I was a wild card, but not this much.
no subject
So Sokie just got a shrug. ]
You're not strange. You just talk a lot.
[... Was that an attempt at being comforting?
But Mikasa was still used to Sasha. Too used to her, that the lack of presence was unnerving. Too used to having food stolen or shoved in her face, being climbed on for no reason.
It was those small things that made talking to Sokie both strange and familiar. ]
no subject
[Yeah, she knew this place. She had been in and out but...nothing seemed to suit just yet. She made a face, glancing Mikasa's way, before rolling her shoulders.]
But hey. This could be practice for parties up the line.
...by the way, what brings you here? Or were you just wandering randomly?
[She was just kinda. Following her around like a pest.]
no subject
[She's only taken part in... What, two or three parties in her life. She's heard at least that many being planned here already. ]
I need to replace my blades. They have too much metal for me to use them safely here.
[Being burnt by metal was inconvenient to say the least. ]
no subject
[Wait...she frowned, making a noise.]
Iron, I think you mean? So maybe you'd be better off with ceramic blades, you're thinking?
no subject
But the ceramic comment gets a snort. ]
I was thinking something within my budget...
[ceramic blades were a rarity. Definitely beyond what her two week of saving would allow. ]
no subject
Which is what, wrought iron?
[Just wondering since...well, how much money does Mikasa have.]
no subject
I've been working most the day for the past week. I should be able to find something. Even if it's just a knife.
no subject
[She knows puca and fae aren't good with iron at all.]
Did you want a loan? I can loan you the money. This is important if you're planning on going outside the Bright Wall.
no subject
No. [That didn't sound right, it caused a niggling feeling in her gut at the thought of accepting it.] I don't want to owe anyone. I'll be alright.
no subject
Would it be so bad to accept a loan?
[She's being completely serious, and there's a shift in her expression. She even looked ...worried for her.]
no subject
I'll be fine. I've been working.
[There had been worse times. Much worse. Where they'd had to go without eating. Here she had enough to buy food, a roof, a bed. It really wasn't as dire. She just had to keep going. ]
no subject
You know I'm not trying to make this weird right? I'm trying to help because I like you.
Even if I'm a pain in the ass.
no subject
But then she turns to look fully, blinking. ]
What.. Do you mean?
