But when she clarifies what she means because apparently Trevor fucking needs that done in the moment, he just... stares to her. Silent. Thoughts tumbling away over what he himself saw within that stupid pool of desire. Because that's what it is. It's stupid and it's caused him to kiss Alucard and for Sypha to kiss Alucard and now Sypha to peck his cheek and... can they all just blame that stupid pool for this?? He'd like it. He really really would.

But he also knows the things he said to Alucard. The things he had been... trying to forget and he just... sighs. Fingers pinching the bridge of his nose. ]

[Sometimes, she is not sure.]

Because I didn't know if I'd ever have someone like that who could make me feel that way or like I mattered or something. So if I just forgot about you, forgot about whatever it was I felt, then... it wouldn't hurt so bad with being here.

[Sypha lets him finish. She's quiet the whole way through, her expression turning fairly serious.]

...I know you missed me. I know you don't want to see me get hurt.

[The mention of torture, well, it's something she's beginning to connect the dots on. He doesn't want to talk about something big. Sounds like he probably was one of the abducted, but now is not the time to bring that up.]

But I know you also don't want to be alone. And I know you care about me. And I care about you. Come what may, you're stuck with me.

[And him, but, later.]

I just want...you to know that you aren't alone.

He chuckles softly albeit more tiredly than amused and a hand comes to run down his face before resting over his mouth, eventually slipping down to fall against his side. ]

I'd forgotten what it's like to not feel alone.

Yeah. I know.

[She holds out her arms to him anyway.]

Give me a hug? That's a good start to learning how to be connected again.

[ He just... feels tired. From getting more weak and sick as the days go by, the sunlight, and... being on this emotional rollercoaster all of a sudden. And yet, when she holds her arms open for him, when she asks for that hug, he finds himself coming towards her and gently wraps her up in an embrace. Gentle at first but soon, tight, though mindful of the vampire strength he's been starting to have. His face buries itself against the crook of her neck and he just... breathes, for a moment.

This is her... she really is here. ]

I missed you...

[ Words he mumbles softly to her. Just for her. ]

[She holds him back tightly. She's not the strongest, or the fittest, but she has a good grip and she knows how to hug. She's the experienced one here, somehow.

Holding tight, Sypha tilts her head to mirror the gesture, ignoring the soggy feeling of his cloak.]

I know. And I'm here now. So. Let me help you, Trevor.

[ Despite her not being able to see it given his face pressed against the crook of her neck and all, he smiles to himself at her words, at the way she feels with her arms around him. Safe. Wanted. That's... how it feels with her. Even if they sometimes argue.

With a hum, he nuzzles at her, a hand coming up to rest against the side of her neck. His fingers aren't as bruised as they had been and his touch is a little cool what with his still turning into a vampire. But he closes his eyes, just... feels her warmth against his skin and despite the fact that they're not yet Bonded, he still feels a closeness to her that he can't really put into words. ]

Don't take this the wrong way but... your blood smells really good.

[Sypha relaxes a bit, her fingers warm against his soggy back. She'd do more, but he's kind of a big oaf, and she's not really sure how to move without disturbing a peace he seems to have finally, at last, found within himself.]

[She laughs softly, playful, unconcerned.]

Maybe I'll share with you sometime. I don't mind, if it's you.

[ That's... something. He's not sure what. He hasn't even drank Alucard's blood nor has he asked nor has the blond offered. He gets his blood from someone else and... that took a good two months to even be somewhat ok with. Truthfully? He's still not all that ok with drinking blood but he's... getting better at it. Disgusting as that sounds.

But he turns his head some, still resting against her as they stand there and slowly blinks.]

I'd rather have something else first.

And what's that?

[Okay. She will bite. What's he got in mind?]

[ The fact that she actually asks shouldn't surprise him as much as it does and yet, here they are. But he pulls himself back from, strands of hair messily in his face and it's with that hand still resting against the side of her neck that he leans in, not as quick as a viper as she had been, and presses a kiss to her lips. Just like that. ]

[Sypha returns it, happily. Eagerly, even. Her lips to his, her heart in her throat, her eyes closed in temporary bliss.

When she pulls back, she smiles softly.]

Now that was nice.

[ He shouldn't be as surprised when she returns the kiss but he is and he... smiles against her lips even. It's... nice and he finds himself holding her neck with both hands before she pulls back and blue eyes slowly blink as if in a daze. With a hum, however, he lets his gaze trail off to the side before he curiously looks to her out of the corner of his eye. ]

Better than Alucard?

[ HE SURE DID ASK THAT. ]

[If she was surprised by that question, it doesn't show. Hand on her hip, she gives him a sardonic smile.]

A lady never kisses and tells.

[Sypha, you are not a lady.]

I'm... going to take that as a yes.

[ Of course he will and he even might allow himself to chuckle a little at that before he looks back to the path they still have to make their way down. ]

Which... probably shouldn't let him get too far ahead on his own. He might think weird shit or something.

He's going to think weird shit is happening anyway. I mean, you're involved.

[She flashes a quick smirk, and then hustles to catch up with their blond friend.]
