[If anyone knows the residents of the house, it might seem strange that such a group have selected a cozy abode for their home in the city. However, it is not to be said that they are unwelcoming (depending on who) and usually when someone comes to visit, there's always a warm cup of tea ready for them...and maybe some food to go along with it. Feels like a crime if someone doesn't get fed. And despite the hardships of the previous month, the house does welcome guests for any particular reasons whether a visit for the soul, a chat to catch up on events, or even maybe go a few rounds with the poor striking dummy in the backyard.

When you live with sword users and have stress, it gets used, ok?

It might be chilly outside but strange enough, the house itself is pretty warm. Just mind the gaelkitten and Flood running around from time to time.]

[ Well it wouldn't be a surprise. Viren probably expects Vanitas to be showing up sooner or later, given the frequency of his visits. ]

Yeah, he tried convincing me that I should lie to get some sweets instead of just getting someone to share them with. Can you believe it!

[Asking a Disney to lie? How inconceivable.]

I'm pretty sure he thought I was you for a second too. Actually, a lot of people have.

[That's kind of a given, though. But at least it's usually only for a few minutes. Or until they get a better look at Sora's face or he smiles or talks.]

Eh. I would have.

[ You're telling the wrong person here about your woes and surprises about morality, Sora. Van doesn't really see what the problem is... Though he isn't really the lying sort himself. ]

I figure we'll be getting a lot more of that now. At least until you have your first set of changes.

[Sora holds his chin up a little. A Disney protagonists' conviction, here.]

I dunno, I don't really think we look that much alike when I look at you and me?

[Sora hums. Then again, he can tell Roxas and Ventus apart from like fifty feet away, so... Maybe only Sora's really good at this.]

We do, but personally? I think I pull it off far better.

[No, it's true. Sora actually thinks he looks very average in comparison to a lot of people he knows. Standing next to people like Riku and Roxas? Yeah, Sora's pretty average looking in general. Vanitas does pull it off better.]

You don't gotta say it out loud like that.

[ That's not. The reaction? He had wanted? Or expected??? If anything Vanitas looks over at Sora, brows pinched together in something of a scowl as he thinks.

This kid's self esteem is about on the same level of his, huh? Van huffs and reaches over. He really ruffles Sora's hair this time and while not mean, it isn't gentle either. ]

You were supposed to loudly object, brat.

[Sora makes a noise under that ruffling hand and quickly grabs at those fingers.]

Ahhh--! But it's true! Vanitas!

[Vanitas is way better looking! Just look at that dark hair and those sharp eyes! The way he holds himself! He's even stronger in the chest than Sora is...!]

You look great... ! Maybe I'll just change my hair a little more or something!

You already got it cut didn't you?

[ Oh hey look at that. Vanitas has noticed! He also doesn't immediately try to take his fingers back either. ]

Sora. I look like you. If anything else I am only a reflection. Like the moon mirroring the light of the sun.

[And thus here he is standing there with his arms in the air, holding onto Vanitas' fingers. Looking a little dumbstruck at Vanitas because did Vanitas just notice him and compare the both of them to the sun and the moon?]

Ahh, maybe. But you're still you, Vanitas. You look like you.

[ The probably look pretty awkward, standing like they are. Vanitas doesn't really care about that. Oh no. He just shakes his head. ]

Not really. Before you connected with Ventus' heart, I didn't have a face at all. So what I said in the Graveyard is the truth of it. I only am as I am now because of you.

[ Which means Sora is just as important to him as Ventus is. ]

[Sora inhales a little, feeling that change in feeling across their bond. Sora's fingers hold gentler at Vanitas' hands as he tugs their hands down.]

So when Ventus came to my heart you...

[That's when Vanitas got his face? Sora frowns.]

But, Vanitas? It's just like you said. You might pull it off better than me but what's more important is you pull it off the way you want to. Our faces are different in a lot of ways even if we look a lot alike. Your eyes see things differently than me too. It's a good thing, you're you. And I'm me.

[But he is kind of happy that Vanitas inadvertently reminds Sora of his importance.]

I like our differences too.

[ Van's free hand goes to his hip. He doesn't finish Sora's sentence or explain further. Rather, Van simply nods his head. All he had been at that time? Red eyes and shadows. That's how he had known someone connected with Ventus' dying heart - he had changed.

He watches Sora's expression. Feels the shift in their Bond. Vanitas doesn't really know how to respond to such an earnest statement. Figures that Sora would see him as a completely different person, even though they really do look the same. ]

Tch. I suppose I am glad I'm not you. Couldn't stand it to be so... Upbeat all the time.

[oathkeeper]

Heh. I dunno, an upbeat smile might look pretty good on you. You should try it sometime.

[He just keeps going and going with all the laced up compliments. Sora feels a bit of warmth in his cheeks before he finally lets go of Vanitas' hand.]

[darkcharge]

[ Geez. This kid is so disgustingly sweet. All these complements... Vanitas doesn't know how to handle them. Years of being offered criticisms and not praise make this. Awkward.

Then there's all those warm squishy feelings that are filtering in from their bond. Now even Vanitas feels the tips of his ears burn.

To make it stop, he puts his hand on Sora's face and pushes it away from him a bit. ]

Not a chance. Come on. We're almost there.

Hgmmpph!

[With a pushed face Sora can only get startled out of his own momentarily fluff of warmth and he quickly makes a noise and swats away at Vanitas' hand. He's not really sure how these little moments keep cropping up but he's still kind of... happy.

He sighs anyway and follows Vanitas towards the tea shop.]

Alright, alright.

[darkcharge]

[ Okay but it's rare that Sora isn't happy, right? At least there are very few moments of this that Vanitas can pick up.

He falls into silence, however. Van doesn't always need to be talking. Instead he slips into the shop. This probably won't take long, since he knows exactly what shelf he needs to head towards. ]

[Sora follows into the store right behind Vanitas and lets out an exclamation of surprise when he sees the contents of the shop. It's pretty amazing in here and Sora immediately goes to browse all the wears while poking and prodding at this and that.

He manages to find a small tin of cookies and he picks them up and realizes... He has no money.]

Vanitas!

[He takes the little tin and goes up to him.]

Hey, can you buy this for me?

[darkcharge]

[ Like a kid in a candy store, huh? Van rolls his eyes and sees to the potions lining this area of the shop. He allows Sora to do what Sora will do. It isn't as though Vanitas is his keeper. Whatever befalls Sora will be his own fault.

He snatches up the bottle and turns... Only to come face to face with that tin. ]

You want me to what now?

[oathkeeper]

[Hey, he hasn't knocked anything over or broken anything! ... Yet-

But he actually doesn't realize that he's picked a tin of magically enchanted cookies too. Ones that apparently cast a charm on whoever eats them. He just thought they looked tasty.]

Buy these cookies for me! Please!

[darkcharge]

[ He looks to the cookies. Then back up to Sora. Van clicks his tongue against his teeth. ]

What's in it for me?

[oathkeeper]

[Sora smiles hopefully???]

The... joy of being nice?

[That's not gonna work, is it...............]

I'm not nice. Try again.

[ But he isn't saying no either, Sora. ]

[oathkeeper]

[If Vanitas ends up getting these cookies for him Sora will debate that.]
