[Open] Come In From The Cold...

[If anyone knows the residents of the house, it might seem strange that such a group have selected a cozy abode for their home in the city. However, it is not to be said that they are unwelcoming (depending on who) and usually when someone comes to visit, there's always a warm cup of tea ready for them...and maybe some food to go along with it. Feels like a crime if someone doesn't get fed. And despite the hardships of the previous month, the house does welcome guests for any particular reasons whether a visit for the soul, a chat to catch up on events, or even maybe go a few rounds with the poor striking dummy in the backyard.

When you live with sword users and have stress, it gets used, ok?

It might be chilly outside but strange enough, the house itself is pretty warm. Just mind the gaelkitten and Flood running around from time to time.]

[In battle yes. Outside of it, that simply was not her intent other than if she felt pain, to work through it and just keep going. But if what he says is true then why did they let go through with it all? Maybe it's because she's a Mirrorbound and they didn't want to say no out of some form of obligation? Some did say that she should go and relax and not overdo but did she listen?]

[This wasn't like that week when she had to push to help; she thought she was making some sort of difference but to wonder if it has all been for naught? She sinks further into the bed as she holds her sides in thought, wincing slightly. A mix of her own stubbornness and a lack of communication it sounds like.]

Stupid fool I've been then, huh.

[Hades if you were wasting your time here, why do you stay? Mira thinks this but doesn't word it, head's feeling a bit foggy but she's lucky to hold in her tongue.]

[Her work may have been flawless as far as he knows, but it's not going to keep him from assuming otherwise, and holding it against her anyway.]

Oh...? Did you just now realize?

[It's probably good that she does refrain from saying that, else he might have to think about why, and then would have to leave. Instead, he moves a hand to gently stroke over the side of her face. So strong and yet so fragile--]

[A quieter tone, without that same chill.]

[She can keep her mouth shut once or twice and apparently she did choose wisely this time around, if his next actions were a result of it. And yet she leans into his hand, welcoming the small touch against her hot skin.]

I suppose there is no means to argue now; even my body feels as if it cannot do so much.

[Gods this is going to be a pain for her, mainly because she's gonna be bored by keeping herself in bed. Someone's gonna yell at her if she's up and about later and not resting like she did with them. Is it what we call karma? Sounds like it.]

[At the encouragement, he'll keep up the slow petting of her face. He's not really sure what else he can do; he wasn't a healer, if this was even the sort of thing that could be healed, rather than only waited out. His magic was item creation and offense; he couldn't put her to sleep or anything practical.

He could only watch.]

Perhaps you'll consider listening to your body this time.

[There's less of a bite to the words, at least. If he catches you wandering around too soon though... that would be very bad, Mira.]

[Neither is she; there wasn't much she could do when he had to rest and recover except to stay with him when she was needed. It was honestly one of those times she could rest even if only for an hour or two; Her body always woke her up and she simply refused to move, instead keeping watch. Sometimes, it's the only thing one can do in these kind of situations.

The petting also feels wonderful. New experience but Halone help her that she can't help but feel good among all the horrible she is physically feeling.]

I'm not used to it. But I'll try to this time around.

[She'll try. It'll be super hard for Mira who is used to movement but she will try and not cause more issues for them.]

[At least the Ascian knew to stay in bed while recovering. And Mira's presence had helped, had made it easier to rest, rather than just remain still. Not being alone mattered.

But even if the heat of her skin remained concerning, the small contact was nice, somehow. Some piece of connection. Though he pauses, leaning over for a moment to brush a kiss over her lips.]

Do you want me to stay with you?

[Not that he was sure that the presence of another warm body next to an already feverish one would be all that comfortable.]

[No one tell him he's caring, it'll scare him off! Mira wouldn't at this time but having him near is rather nice; was it the same when their roles were reversed? Even the small touches make her feel a little better as she tries to return that light kiss.]

I would like that very much. But also be careful; if you feel anything, please take care of yourself otherwise we might be sharing this bed for a very different reason.

[She is sick after all and it might spread. But then again, he did kiss her so maybe he didn't mind it? Who knows.]

[Her words cause him to blink. Ah. Right. This probably wasn't just extreme fatigue, she might be contagious....]

Don't even think about infecting me with anything.

[Because that's something Mira has control over, right? Giving her a skeptical look, it's not enough to stop him from climbing into bed with her, and draping himself along her side.]

But if you were just after the pleasure of my company, you could've just asked. There was no need to render yourself ill on my account.

[Obviously not serious, but- from his injuries, to her illness, it felt like most of their time together recently had been because one of them had been unwell. Hopefully it wouldn't become a habit.]

[That's not how illnesses work; it's like playing Ishgardian Roulette and by luck. As long as someone takes care of themselves. You are making it hard not to press against you, buddy even with all this heat as she can't help but curl up against him.]

I would have sought you out first, I can assure you. But perhaps...maybe after this we could find something.

[How does this even work? Mira has no idea and she's pretty sure there's things she hasn't discovered in the city yet.]

[Good thing both of their luck is fantastic, right? Because at the curling, he's just putting an arm around her, securing her against him.]

Something with less discomfort, perhaps, if it's all the same to you.

[He huffs quietly into her hair. Though this sounds suspiciously like planning some kind of date or something.]

I'm sure there is something that matches the criteria. It should not be that hard to find a place.

[If he does get sick from this, well he was warned. But Mira does appreciate someone being near despite her own stupidity. And if we're honest, Mira honestly doesn't realize the context of her words and how it can be taken as such. But if someone does let her know, just watch her expression. It'll be priceless.]

[Absently, he strokes slowly at Mira's hair.]

Hmm... I'll leave it to your arrangement. Once you've actually recovered. Consider it incentive.

[Context of her words? Was there anything unusual in wanting to spend time around someone who's company you don't mind? To the point of making specific plans for it?]

Something to look forward to then?

[It's not a bad idea and when has Mira had time to think of anything that did not involve a danger or some kind of trouble? Other than the chocolate, what else was there that she had thought of that had some form of fun? Books were always fun but that was something done usually alone so...wow, she really had no idea how to even have fun in some weird way.]

Perhaps it will get warmer for more exploring. Ishgardian I may be but there is a limit to how much cold I can take.

[Unless it's falling face first into the snow. That sounds refreshing.]

[It's not as though he expects anything extravagant or exciting (anything with those descriptors was probably exhausting). And he's not sure what this 'fun' thing is either (sounds unpleasant).]

I'd think that as an Ishgardian, you would've had more than enough of the cold by now. Fortunately, this isn't Coerthas... the weather should eventually improve.

[(Not) Sorry for freezing over your homeland due to Calamities. And don't nap in a snowbank, Mira, even if it seems like a good idea at the time.]

[Fun is when you have the opposite of grump and despair. It's one of those pesky positive emotions after all.]

Constant snow is an issue but there is always a positive to the cold; it seems to bring people together.

[In one way or another. The warmth of people can indeed be a nice thing as Hades should know by now. And besides, she may melt the snowbank in her condition.]

[Uhh why would there be a word for something that doesn't exist.]

As any nest of vermin would, to escape freezing.

[The way he says it though, it's almost mild. Even if you are part of an infestation, he'd curl up with you anyway, Mira. And true, a few more of her and perhaps they'll solve the problems of Winter.]

[That gets a light swat to his chest because excuse you, she's no rat. A light one just because of his tone which for someone like the ascian, it's downright polite. In it's own weird way.

That and it barely has any strength to it because sick.]

I do recall you seem to like the idea of hibernation.

[It's just your regular reminder of being completely beneath him, not really alive, etc. He makes a quietly amused sound at the swat, even as it does serve to remind him of how weak she'd become. His arm around her tightens, for a moment.

Despite what she was capable of, she was alarmingly mortal, sometimes.]

...What can I say? Sleeping is, perhaps, my favorite pastime.

[Mira finds nothing wrong with this to be honest. She finds it rather comforting if someone were to ask her.]

More-or-less. Though I could do without the injury or illness.

[It shouldn't have been comforting, but it was. Enough that he found that he wouldn't mind continuing the habit even after they both were well.]

[Mira can forsee nights where someone will be climbing into another's bed. Maybe a lot of the time. Who knows.]

Will that be an invitation then?

[Probably a lot of the time. Alternating whoever's room they're in.]

You could consider it one.

[As if they weren't being reckless enough as it is.]

[Reckless? Must be Tuesday. What's the point of some fun without it?]
