[If anyone knows the residents of the house, it might seem strange that such a group have selected a cozy abode for their home in the city. However, it is not to be said that they are unwelcoming (depending on who) and usually when someone comes to visit, there's always a warm cup of tea ready for them...and maybe some food to go along with it. Feels like a crime if someone doesn't get fed. And despite the hardships of the previous month, the house does welcome guests for any particular reasons whether a visit for the soul, a chat to catch up on events, or even maybe go a few rounds with the poor striking dummy in the backyard.

When you live with sword users and have stress, it gets used, ok?

It might be chilly outside but strange enough, the house itself is pretty warm. Just mind the gaelkitten and Flood running around from time to time.]

[another whine, another paw prodding at van's leg.

he won't bother her!

but he'd like to go inside and maybe steal some pants... vanitas...

he moves closer to nudge at vanitas' knee with his nose.]

[another whine that ends in a yawn. he almost sounds like he wants to talk, but it comes out as a small awoo...

what if he just steps closer to the door...]

Ventus if you take another step towards that door I will be forced to use Water magic on you.

[another small howl, more a whine than anything and his tail wags. he tries again, managing something that could sound like a name as he talks in aroos and awoos]

Vaniii...

[ Wait. What. ]

Did you just speak? Could you have been talking the whole time?

[oh wow ven is unusually quiet now. he sits down at van's feet and stares up at him, panting quietly.

doesn't he seem innocent?

Ventus.

[ IT'S NOT WORKING. CUT IT OUT. ]

[another huff and a sneeze, then-]

Yes?

Why are you trying to break into my house...

[ My house, Ventus. ]

[he whines]

I lost my clothes awhile ago and I don't know when I'll change back...

[slow tail wag]

[darkcharge]

So, what? You thought to take mine?

[ Ventus. No. ]

[callmeven]

Borrow! I'd give them back...

[he stands up again, tapping his paws at van's shoe.]

Isn't that cute... The little puppy dog thinks it can fit into my clothing.

We're the same size!

[at least... he's pretty sure? ven whines again.]

Ventus. You're scrawny. I, decidedly, am not.

[callmeven]

[BARK]

I'm not scrawny!

[small growl, pawing at him some more]

[ Griiiiiiin. ]

You practically have sticks for arms, Venny.

[another bark before ven jumps up and puts his front legs on vanitas.]

[ It's only because Ventus is a dog that he's getting away with that. Vanitas isn't really touchy-feely after all. ]

Do.

[ He flicks Ventus' puppy nose. ]

Too.

[callmeven]

[ven's response to that nose flick is to lick van's fingers. take that!]

Please let me borrow something!

[or he will continue whining]

[darkcharge]

[ Van makes a face and forces Ventus' head down. ]

Yeah yeah. Hold on. Stay.

[ He'll go back inside and rummage around a little bit. And when he comes back out? Oh there's something in his hands alright. Before Ventus can really see though, Van is crouching and tying something around his neck. ]

There's your something for such a good boy.

[ It even comes with Vanitas ruffling Ven's ears. ]

[ventus already has his doubts when vanitas says it like that, whining quietly where he stays outside. he does stick his head in past the door with a mildly worried look (for a dog).]

Vanitas...?

[oh he's coming back-

ven looks a little confused when there's something being tied around his neck, only catching a glimpse of the fabric before he realizes what it is. jokes on vanitas because even if ven knows he's being sarcastic, the ear ruffles still feel amazing. he even wags his tail.]

Are you letting me keep this?

[darkcharge]

[ Oh... Oh well this is not quite how he pictured his going? There's a wagging tail. Why would Ventus be happy about this? Van is literally pranking him here. Or, rather, he is trying to. ]

Obviously. What use do I have for it?

[if anything that just makes his tail wag even more.]
