June Catch-all [OTA + One Closed Prompt]

[Prompto didn't even have to go apply for this job; the person in charge of the delivery service took one look at Prompto taking Primula for a job and practically begged them to play delivery boy. Apparently a giant bird was perfect for carrying packages. Who knew?

They were given directions to the place and they're on their way there now after a stop off at the house to get Prim's saddle and bridle. Of course, Prompto didn't think to kit her up before leaving the house so she is now running off down a side street with her rider chasing after her.]

Get back here! Why does this always happen to me...

Open: Delivery!

[And after that emotional mess of a reunion, Prompto can be found dashing about on chocobo-back as he delivers letters and small packages. Are you a recipient? Are you just walking by as a yellow birdy blur zips past you and maybe knocks you down? Either way you won't catch him until he stops in front of his destination.]

Open: Festival Prep

[He's a busy bee this month, apparently, as he has picked up a second part-time job! Or possibly more, as Prompto seems to be helping out whatever shop will take him that day and that leaves him doing a lot of things.

For some reason, he gets asked to carry things from one place to another a lot and he's not sure why. He's not strong or anything, so he spends a lot of time struggling down the street with the boxes of decorations or whatever it is he's carrying.

This means he can't see or stop very well.

Which means it's only a matter of time before he runs into something and trips. That "something" could be a wall or a tree root or even you.

Either way, Prompto lands face first on the ground with a yelp and a swear. Help?]

[He's not even sure he knows how he got enrolled in this class but HERE HE IS.

I leave that in your very capable hands. [Because Ignis is good at that.] As long as we don't have to live next door to him or anything like that.

...aw man, why'd you guys have to show up after I already got roomies?

I can't exactly kick them out and it's already a bit cramped in there, but we could make it work if you guys need a space that's Ardyn-free.

I'll stick with Noct, and make sure to keep him as safe as possible. As long as you check in regularly, I don't see a problem with us living apart.

[Ignis taps his chin thoughtfully. It's a lot to consider, suddenly. Prompto has his own situation, which is fine. But maybe he can switch off being eyes and ears for the group with Prompto from time to time, alleviate some of the stress he's going to bear being a single guardian.]

There may come a time when we all need to band together, but until then, especially while we're in an adjustment period, we'll be fine. After all, Ardyn may have been rendered rather toothless by this situation. If he doesn't bare his fangs, I wouldn't recommend us starting anything, either.

Why didn't you wait until we showed up? [Huh? HUH?

And He can take care of himself, Ignis...for the most part. He can at least keep from setting his own apartment on fire on a regular basis.

Except this is a new world with new rules and new magics to deal with, so maybe he won't be able to do that quite as well anymore.]

As far as I can tell, he's as interested in staying away from us as we are from him.

[He doesn't know about Somnus yet, someone should tell him about Somnus eventually.]

Because the last time I saw everyone, you were in the Crystal, Iggy was in Lestallum, and Gladio was somewhere in the Duscaen countryside while I was helping Wiz?

[Seriously bro, he had his reasons. Also he's not sure if you're joking or not so yeah, you get the legit answer.]

That's...good. And I can warn people about him, though at least he can't do whatever it is he does with the Starscourge here. No powers from home.

[Ignis' eyes narrow at Prompto because those sure are some Things he Didn't Know About. He pushes his glasses up and looks between the two of them with a slightly annoyed expression.]

You're both going to need to explain some things very thoroughly later, though you might not want to. I'm obviously lagging behind. If it concerns our potential safety and any issues that might arise for Noct, I need to know. In the meantime... I should probably let you know, Prompto, that I've been designated a Witch.

[He was half-joking, but there are also things in that answer that he also didn't know. Like how the three of them managed to get back to Lucis in the first place and why they were off doing separate things.]

In the Crystal? What was I doing inside the Crystal?

[Prompto winces. He forgot.]

I'll, uh, explain later? [He chuckles weakly.] When we're not outside and I don't have a chocobo I'm keeping an eye on.

[He reaches up to rub at the back of his neck, grimacing a little at the feeling of the fur there.]

Wait, actually.]

I may have some information to share, as well. However, we should attend to the business of being here first, and tackle the rest, as Prompto said, when we're in a private space and not encumbered with a large flightless bird.

So let's go find a more private space, then. Or figure out where the bird goes.

[It hasn't really occurred to him that the bird might be for a job, or even that she might belong to Prompto. There is Potential Information and he's interested in it.]

Prim goes with me, at my place. It's...middle of town, sorta, pretty big but it has a stable so...follow me?

[Prompto swings himself up onto Prim's back.]

[He gestures for Noctis to follow Prompto, even if he's jumped up on a chocobo and likely going to be going a sight faster than them both.

Ignis is just going to be ultra vigilant now, don't mind him taking a look around to make sure nobody is following them or anything. But no, everything is normal. No Ardyn.]

I'm assuming you're better versed on this place than we are, Prompto. Would you mind letting me run some theories by you later, so you can check them against what you know?

[Hopefully Prim doesn't decide to take off with a ride like she did without one, because Noctis is 100% sure he can't keep up with a chocobo running.]

I hope he is, or else I've lost faith in him as a person.

[She's just going to walk! And Noct is at just the right height for a foot to the shoulder. Lovingly.]

Ass. But I've only been here a month, so no promises on knowing everything you wanna know, Iggy. First thing's first, though--I'm a Monster, here.

[He holds out an arm so they can see the fur that's thicker around the shoulder and thins out around the elbow.]

I'm turning into...something, my guess is a dog-type thing. The fur kinda reminds me of Pyrna's.

[He walks closer for a moment, examining Prompto's arm.]

It does look like a dog's fur. Noct, what about you?

[And here he thought Prompto was past his expiration date and had started to mold.

He stumbles at the shove, taking a half-hearted swipe at Prompto's foot.]

It does. [He gives the fur near Prompto's elbow a feel.]

The Coven has tests for that sort of thing--that's how I figured out what was going on with me. It's harmless and I'd do it soon, before the full moon this month. They're...not good, for Monsters.

Yes. As I said, I tested as a Witch.

[Is it make gentle digs at Prompto o'clock? It is? Cool. Ignis adjusts his glasses.]

I think a dog suits you nicely, but what about the full moon? Noct, did you do the test?

Yeah, I did it.

[He doesn't agree with the results, because not having magic ability is something he's having a hard time wrapping his head around.]

I'm not a Witch, apparently, so I guess I've gotta worry about the moon, too.

You and Iggy should probably do the Bond thing soon, then. That'll apparently help Monsters deal with it better and trust me, it sucks going it solo.

[Ignis looks impassively at Noctis upon hearing the news, not entirely surprised the man didn't tell him sooner. He's obviously uneasy about it. But he still wants to get a read on Noct's status and reaction anyway. Nothing much to note, and then Prompto suggest the Bond... Ignis doesn't hesitate.]

I agree. It would probably be the safest route for you, and the easiest to keep things stable. On that note, Prompto... if you find yourself in need of someone, I'll offer the Bond to you, as well. It seems they only strengthen with closeness, and as we're all close comrades, we stand a good chance of my being able to stay stable. There's no need for any of us to carry on alone.

Is it really that bad?

[Does he need to worry more than he is? Or worry for Prompto in the future?

And there the Bond thing has come back up, but at least it's mentioned by two people he knows instead of a group of total strangers he doesn't know if he can trust or not.]

I'm not opposed to the Bond thing if it's with one of you guys...or both of you guys...do you need it, Prompto? [He's not going to force anything on him, but he definitely has a biased opinion on whether his bff should also join the group.]

It's not fun. The first month wasn't so bad, but...

[He shakes his head. He's been scared about this month.]

And...I mean, I should probably start looking for someone to Bond with. It's been crazy, though, so I haven't had a chance.

[Someone save him from himself.]

[Ignis studies them both for a moment, wholly accustomed to them both dancing around certain things. Honestly, Prompto.]

If it's a problem, you ought to start looking for someone right away. That is, if you're opposed to a Bond with one or both of us. It's no imposition if you want or need it; we're offering.
