[ Floods, by nature, born of irritation. Irritation can be a rather aggressive emotion when prompted. Under normal circumstances they don't shy away from a fight. In fact they might end up being the ones that start it. This particular one doesn't seem to mind the shouting from its victim and the moment the person objects? It does puff up a bit and look ready to strike before they stand down. And then the Flood takes off to enjoy its spoils. Usually there is never one, but it is by itself.
It isn't as thought the creature can grow stronger by feeding off of people and their emotions, though it still seems to enjoy being around them. However this time food takes priority. Without being able to feed off of emotions, apparently actual food has taken over that need.
When Papyrus shows up, the Flood puffs up again. It is ready to fight, if only because it has no idea what this bony dog-like thing wants. Is he a threat? An enemy? Someone after what it's already taken? ]
