[Closed] Snowball Fight!
Who: An idiot (Mira), a darkness child (Vanitas), a sleepy grandpa (Emet-Selch), and later on the crafting catte (Iryha)
When: During the Winter Storm Event
Where: House Darkness
What: Playing in the snow somehow turns into an all out snowball war
Warnings: Potential Shadowbringers spoilers but more than likely none. Dark weirdos being nerds.
[Of course there was warnings about the incoming storm. Everyone being told to stay inside and keep warm is what any sane or normal person would do in this situation. And yet there are some who are in the opposite direction. Such as one particular dark knight bundled outside in the front yard from head to toe in as much warmth as she could handle. Why is she outside in the freezing cold instead of curled up on a couch with a book and warm tea instead? Because she is bored. And being bored is always a bad thing when Mira was around. But the weather itself was a bit hectic that some activities could not be done without the risk of injury.
So that leads into what the woman is doing now: making very odd snow creatures in the front yard. Well, odd to anyone who isn't familiar with them. They're rough but Mira's more into alchemy, not art. As long as they have the shape and they look the part, then she's fine with it.
In fact, she's a little too preoccupied with making those weird things that anyone could possibly snap her out of her concentration even by the smallest greeting.]

[ As soon as she does, Van's Flood comes dashing right in. Don't worry. Blue is its natural color. However it does look like there is snow on its body and the Flood is shaking it off. Sorry about the floor. ]
As you can see it's not super big. Dog-sized.
no subject
Is there any reason why it has to come inside?
[The complaint is mostly out of habit.]
no subject
[She's used to it by now. Lucky that she did not speak of anything else because Mira could go there. Instead, she watches the Unversed run in and...strange to think of but, why is it rather cute? Ah well, close the door and get everyone warm more.]
This should be enough to hold out and we do have a couple extra rooms so no one needs to sleep on the couch if they do not wish. Mayhap I should grab some extra pillows as well...
[Everyone should be warm with all these blankets, yes?]
no subject
[ And then it will continue to do what Floods do. Mostly. Mira can think it's cute all she wants. It's going to make its way to Vanitas and... What is that. What is that thing on Van's lap? ]
Just how long will this last anyway?
no subject
[Already resigning himself to this, though he does keep an eye on the strange thing. Hopefully it would be no worse than Mira's cat. Maybe the pets could entertain each other.]
Unless we're trapped here for a month. Or permanently.
[Optimist.]
no subject
[Mostly. Mira can't help but watch the first meeting with Breezy and the Unversed, the gaelkitten standing up on her hind legs and sniffing the new creature. You're a new kind of creature there!]
no subject
[ And, of course, the Flood in return is kind of trying to poke at the gaelkitten. Van, of course, just makes a disgusted face. ]
no subject
[Though he doesn't share in Vanitas' natural disgust for the Flood, the Ascian still regards it dubiously.]
no subject
[Oh be lucky she is keeping some ideas to herself. Meanwhile Breezy takes the poking as a way to boop the nose (or where it would be) of the Flood. Thankfully no claws. As long as they don't try to maim each other, it should be fine.]
no subject
"That bad" huh? So your luck isn't good at the very least.
no subject
...On balance, this was probably not the most fortunate of households.]
no subject
[And said with a straight face. Boy did that happen!]
no subject
[ He isn't questioning why that is a thing that happened. Just, you know, the tempering idea he gets. Primal? Not so much.
And it sounds like there is a story there. ]
no subject
[As though it weren't the fault of Ascians for her being in that situation to start with.]
And how fortunate you managed to escape with your wits intact.

The first one I fought against, Ifrit. It was before I was given the title of 'Warrior of Light' or 'Darkness' depending on the shard. A trap unknowingly set up and myself and several soldiers were taken to the Bowel of Embers to become his slaves; when his 'cleansing flames' hit us, everyone became his thralls...except for me.
[She herself is wondering if she has been tempered long before then. And given some truths...Mira's not too keen on the thought.]
no subject
[ Because yeah none of that sounds entirely pleasant. The problem is Vanitas doesn't have any sort of frame of reference for this "Ifrit." ]
no subject
[And because he sees nothing wrong with admitting it--]
...Purely because my compeers and I have shared the knowledge of how to create one with various, generally disadvantaged, groups throughout history.
no subject
[Should she mention about having to kill anyone thralled because all they'll do if left alive is try to summon again and it's just a mess. The only difference is poor Ga Bu...Mira can't help but wonder how the boy is doing.]
Imagine...a giant lizard with curved horns on top of its head who stands on all fours and breathes fire. That is Ifrit. There are many different primals but he was the first I had come up against.
no subject
[ Either as a distraction to keep people from discovering what they are really up to or because it will help with the imbalance. This is what makes the most sense to Vanitas at any rate. ]
And the others?
no subject
More-or-less. Individually, they're not terribly powerful. But they can be continually resummoned- leaving those few who can handle them with their hands quite full.
no subject
[It's said with a groan because how many times she she fought them because people were dumb? She even goes as far as leaning her head against the couch. She'll admit it because no need to keep it secret.]
How many times did I need to fight each one of them just to keep the realm from going up in flames?

The Ascian looks over to Mira, expression a bit smug.]
Well? Some nonsense about saving mortal lives no doubt, or the drain it puts on Hydaelyn.
no subject
[Taking another sip of her tea before pausing.]
Yes, even a 'hero' such as myself can have moments like that. 'Tis a normal feeling.
no subject
[ Just... Van's two cents there. He's never ad a positive opinion about people anyway. ]
If they don't have the power they need to stop these things from happening, then that's on them.
