[closed] just two heroic spirits hanging out

Who: Andersen & Enkidu
When: Around the 26th
Where: The Theatre
What: Meeting up, talking about things
Warnings: None

A lot has changed in a short period of time. One of those things is that Enkidu is wearing shoes now. A pair of simple boots made of brown leather tied together with a string. Not a pair of very fashionable ones but quite handy when manoeuvring through a busy city.

The sun is already setting when they reach the large building of the theatre. More stone.

Normally they would be able to detect Andersen within the blink of an eye but now they have to cross half the building before they are finally able to spot the other servant. And no, it doesn't help that he's rather small.

"Ah, I have found you." They smile briefly. "It is good to finally meet you in person and that you look...in one piece."

After all that has happened. That...everything.

Enkidu!! He stood on the stool so he could fetch you one! How could you steal his spotlight!

Fortunately, he won't fuss over being upstaged. Andersen hops down so he can start pushing the stool over to where the stovetop is. It seems this is where the coffee is brewed, as Aefenglom is sadly lacking in coffee machines. What Andersen wouldn't give for a nice Kreuger, just like the one in Chaldea.

"For a building to become home, one must work on its outward and inward appearance. Not that I'd like to settle down in this world. It's too reminiscent of visual novel for my liking." He begins scooping the ground beans. "But an author must have a comfortable office to work in. Do you understand such sentiments, Enkidu?"

The fresh aroma of coffee soon permeates the air. The beans are brewing nicely. Andersen lets them do their work as he turns to face Enkidu. There's no hints written in his expression, only a curiosity that's almost child-like.

"Don't be stupid. Of course you possess something. It isn't about the items themselves. They're vessels for your perception of the world. Memories. What's comfortable and what's uncomfortable. Humans put shards of themselves into their things. A home is a reflection of the soul."

What someone takes pictures of says as much as how the picture was taken. And Enkidu has focused on the remarkably mundane. Andersen remains quiet for once as he looks at the pictures shown to him, his expression unreadable. And once they've reached the end of what Enkidu's taken -

"Are these pictures important to you? Humans typically hang up pictures only if they feel a connection to them."

Did Shamhat teach Enkidu about books in those days she spent with them? To see the beauty of stories, products of human imagination? Andersen is a little surprised by Enkidu's desire to read and he voices so:

"Ha! A weapon wanting to read. AUO has truly sanded you down to a pleasant, human-like existence. If it's books you're looking for, you've befriended the right Servant. On the battlefield I'm a miserable ally, but in the libraries I'm a delight - so long as you don't spend too long in my presence."

Coffee's ready. He reaches for Enkidu's cup so he can pour in the rich drink.

"Truth be told, I figured you'd want to live like Tarzan."
