[The peculiar mist that swept through Aefenglom left Marie completly unscatched. For the past few days she stayed mostly at the home she shared with Scathach and Zelda, wary of the less lucky citizens for whom the effect of the Mist was much stronger. She has left the houe a few times and the encounters she's had with those affected made her even more sure of the fact that avoiding the outdoors was the right decision. Amadeus and Salieri would not be happy to hear that she has exposed herself to danger and while in many situations she would have just done her own thing, there was no reason to give them additional worries.
The chaos has mostly been cleaned up, though and people have been mostly returning to their senses and original forms. Marie decided it was finally safe to take a walk around and see for herself the extent of damages caused to their neighborhood.
Suddenly, she feels lightheaded and her knees give up on her. She falls to the ground, but the dizziness and headache only last for a short while. Marie is quickly able to pick herself up. She checks her reflection in a nearby shop window. Her clothes aren't even that dirty and she is unhurt. Just that...
There's a big and sharp unicorn horn. In the middle of her forehead.]
ah, la luna la luna
[They warned her about this. Everyone did and yet, Marie was surprised to awaken in the middle of the night feeling dizzy, as if she was running a high fever. An ilness? No, it is something else. It is late, but the outside is rather bright as she can see through the window. The Sisters in their full beauty. So that was the reason why she felt like that?
"That time of the month" for Monsters?
Marie takes a look at her reflection in a mirror. Parts of her back and arms became covered with shimmery bright scales, as if she had added glitter to her bathwater. It does not hurt - that is for sure, but the weird, uncomfortable feeling was there. This was her body now?
And come to think of it, she was Bonded. If Amadeus did not bond with her, would this not have felt much worse, according to the stories she has heard? Then again, it was just her first time experiencing these changes... It will not get better next month, will it.
She decides on impulse that she really, really needs some fresh air and runs out of the house in just a silky nightgown.]

salieri, octeuril 17th
What was that about not meddling in other people's affairs? This was not how Marie did things. Besides that, anything that concerned Amadeus and Salieri was very much her affairs as well. They were important to her after all and she will not idly stand and see them hurt each other.
Tracking down Salieri proved a bit more difficult than she thought it would be. He did not show up at the opera and nobody Marie talked to mentioned seeing him recently. Was he not leaving home at all? Marie has not been at his place before, but she was able to learn the location quickly.
So there she was, knocking at his door. Hopefully Salieri lets her in by himself because Marie had no intention of leaving if he pretends to not be home. She would let herself in if necessary]
Salieri? Are you inside? I know you are!

Yes, Salieri had decided quite early on after the incident that he would not be going out anytime soon. There was no need for the sun nor the glow of the moon when his heart had all but refused any kind of light. What he had done... was inconceivable. Despicable.
And yet deep within himself a small voice continued to tell him he was justified.
It was the only sensible thing to do.
You would have endured a lie for as long as Amadeus wished.
He has not the slightest idea... of your true feelings.
Yes, it was safe to say that Salieri kept to himself completely after that.
So when the knock comes and Marie's voice echoes from behind the wood Salieri sits and stews- wrestles with himself. He simply cannot leave her outside- he would never allow himself to do that to her.
And yet he dreaded the words that would come. Yes, their Queen was far more sharp-witted than she allowed others to perceive. Salieri knew that quite well.] ...
[The sheets fall from his shoulders. Salieri keeps his gaze lowered as he rises from the bed and walks over to the door. With clear trepidation he unlocks it and slowly pries it open.
There. It's done.] Your Majesty. [He murmurs, his voice just a little more than a whisper.
He's looked better!!]

She pushes the doorframe. As much as she wants to run inside, the atmosphere of this place is just intimidating, so she ends walking in slowly. Oh God, this place was a mess... There was almost no sunlight, all windows were tightly shut and covered. Candy wrappers and sheet music were scattered on the floor. How could Salieri live like this?
She can't let him continue existing in this state - because it was not living, any longer. She makes a beeline for the windows and opens the curtains, one after another to let the sunlight in]
What has happened to you?
