Who: Alucard and Trevor
When: 20 Octeuril
Where: The appropriate ceremony room etc. and the duo's apartment later.
What: Bonds
Warnings: Added as needed
[The next several days after everything afforded Alucard no time at all to sit and do research. There was too much chaos to contend with throughout the city, and that was no environment conducive to sitting down and balancing Belmont fears about becoming a vampire or dhampir issues with the word witch in general.
When it had cleared, Alucard sat. He did the work. He gathered the information, spoke to the people who explained to him how the city's vampire population was sustained and debunked the nuances of vampires as Alucard and Trevor knew them from home, and wrote it all down into three actionable plans.
Plan 1: We do nothing.
Plan 2: We do your idea from several nights ago.
Plan 3: Bonds until matter is not workable
They were all carefully detailed, with plan 3 eventually suggesting that plan 2 be put into place if the situation was truly and utterly impossible for Trevor. It was something Alucard could respect, but only after an attempt was made to avoid well, sun exposure after a full transformation happened.
(He did not want that full transformation. It demanded death. Alucard knew himself, and knew he'd sit beside that corpse until it rose again. He knew the emotions that would provoke, even if Trevor wasn't his favorite person in the world.)
In the end, they had gone with plan 3. All that was left to put it into action and approach the Coven to undertake the ceremony itself, and that brings them both to here. Now. Within a magic circle that Alucard swears he must have seen in one of his father's magic books before.
They're given the go signal for vows. Alucard breathes out.]
I'll go first. Only fair.

[No, he's mopey. Alucard can't deny that, and so he just sits there for a moment.]
The whole thing made me realize how much I miss Sypha.
[That's only a very small fraction of what's going on, but Alucard's happy to lie and say that's the whole of it for now.]
no subject
Nice to know I wouldn't be missed. [ a beat ] I'm sure she's fine.
[ Even though she's never been on her own before and he knows she seemed worried about being separated from her family but... details. ]
I'd rather she not see me like this anyways.
no subject
You'd be missed.
[The response is automatic. Soft. Exhausted.]
I understand. But she'd be...[Alucard shakes his head.] She'd be more capable of giving you actual support.
no subject
Yet they're both the worst because... neither are that great at expressing themselves beyond childish insults at one another. So it's sure to be a time either way. ]
Or pity.
[ He mutters that with a sigh and allows for his arms to cross as he looks off in the other direction. ]
Look. You're a vampire yourself, if even half. I've only ever had the experience of killing them. Living as one isn't exactly my area of expertise there. So don't think you're not valuable in all this. I'd honestly just stake myself through the heart if it was just me here having to deal with this.
no subject
But. But.
It isn’t the most important thing. That’s the real point.]
She doesn’t do pity. Just empathy.
[It’s an important distinction in Alucard’s opinion.]
I would like to be able to do more.
no subject
[ There's still frustration laced within his voice despite the influence of both the mist and the full moon having passed. ]
Can't you... I don't know... do a spell or something and stop this?
no subject
[It's snapped with too much heat. Alucard can't make himself care.]
no subject
[ It's snapped back at the blond before he sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. ]
Look. I didn't meant it like that, Alucard.
[ They're both in shitty situations right now. ]
no subject
That thought casts itself over Alucard, and he wraps himself in it. Stares ahead, unaware of any emotions already bleeding over.]
no subject
He isn't sure what to say, what to do when Alucard starts getting mopey here on the bench and he's liable to just wander off... when he suddenly feels something bleed into him in a way that feels as though something is attaching itself to him and makes him feel... irritated. Moody even and it has him stare ahead. Confused. ]
Are you... doing that?
no subject
[Alucard finally looks up, golden eyes shifting and settling on Trevor. He's far too caught up in his feelings at the moment to realize anything transferred.]
no subject
Er- nothing, I guess. I don't know.
[ It just... didn't at all feel like anything he had been feeling himself. ]
no subject
[Alucard's lips thin into a frown, and his head is tilted slightly. Rather dog like, in point of fact.]
no subject
I don't know what I'm sure about. It just felt like feeling something that wasn't mine. I don't know.
no subject
That's likely to happen with this bond thing.
no subject
[ Feeling the emotions of one another? Because... that's probably going to get real annoying real fast? And he doesn't want Alucard to... feel things from him?? ]
no subject
[Shit. He felt Alucard's emotions. Shit. There's a moment where Alucard registers what's really happened, and the only expression on his face is that of absolute mortification.]
no subject
[ Isn't that some sort of... invasion of privacy or something?? ]
So you can just tap in and feel whatever I'm feeling?
no subject
no subject
Great, so. Can't even keep my hands to myself, right? Or does that suddenly all change once I'm a vampire? No, because you wouldn't be here if that was the case. So, great.
no subject
It'll go both ways. We'll...I don't know. Learn to ignore what aren't our thoughts, and be respectful enough if we run into it.
no subject
[ Oh the sarcasm which drips from that. But, there's no point in arguing about this. No point in trying to make this any more awkward than it already is and with coming to remember something he had been told about bonds previously, well... yeah. ]
Just... I don't know. If it helps then... I guess it's a small sacrifice to pay.
no subject
[Sarcasm and bitterness is a comfortable home for them both, after all. They can work with it. Wrap it around themselves and know they're in familiar territory.]
no subject
Look, I'm not all that happy with this shit any more than you are. So if we have to deal with it, then we have to deal with it.
no subject
[He sounds almost sad about that, that it's nothing more than tolerance. But Alucard then stands up, suggesting that the conversation is, if not over, at a point where he'd rather leave it for the time being.]
Would it be easier for you if the roles were reversed?
no subject
[ Because... yeah?? It would be?? Like... a lot?? What a question, Alucard. But Trevor sighs and just begins to walk then, figuring they're heading back to the place they have for themselves here. ]
The thought of me wanting to chomp on someone's neck or even want to drink blood in the first place is enough to make me sick.
no subject
[The Belmonts were witches just the same as Lisa of Lupu, after all. It's a worthy question in Alucard's estimation, because here? There's no better option one way or the other. He's given it a lot of thought. He knows that if Trevor bore the title witch he'd be just as miserable.]
no subject
Does it matter? I'd be screwed either way then.
[ And that just gets him to sigh again as he starts to head off, lingering just enough for Alucard to follow. ]
Just come on. I'm getting tired
no subject
But it's it's own kind of misery making, and so he just stays put, aware that being around Trevor is going to just make matters worse for the time being.]
Go ahead. I'll be here for a while longer.
no subject
That doesn't mean Trevor doesn't come to look back to the blond. ]
You're sure?
no subject
Yes.
no subject
Well... the bond tells me differently.
[ So there. ]
Just... come back with me. Please?
no subject
I'd like to at least be outside, Belmont.
[That's a truth, but also for Trevor's sake if he's going to be honest. There's a finite amount of daylight Trevor can enjoy now. Alucard's of the opinion that it's his own job to force him to enjoy it.]
no subject
[ Frowning a little to the blond, he turns then, waiting for him to accompany him back to the place they have here for themselves. ]
no subject
So he doesn't. He stands up slowly.]
Lead the way.
no subject
Give me your hand and before you say anything, no, I'm not going to fucking bite you.
no subject
[God Trevor, you don't have to tell him you think that lowly!
But he does offer his hand all the same.]
no subject
Does, uh- that feel better?
no subject
Trevor's hand is still warm. That's important too.]
Thank you.
[His voice is impossibly quiet when he says the words.]
no subject
[ And so he decides to lead the way with Alucard in tow, holding his hand and trying not to feel like a fool about it. ]
