Sounds like it even for those who’ve seen it.

[ he can see her appreciating her memories. he’s finally (mostly) cleaned off, and hands her a clean towel to do the same if she so wished— although you can’t really see blue on blue, can you! ]

You’ve had ice cream, haven’t you? [ or is she a flavor virgin? ]

[She'll take that towel. But it's mostly for show, because while she does wipe herself down, she misses a few splotches here and there, because of how blue she just is over all.

Also his question gives her pause.]

What's ice cream?

[ he saw this once, and his friends— they were dorks when they tried ice cream for the first time, too.

he wished he could go back to seeing that, but a huge blockade stood in the way. he’d never be able to go back. when he thought of it, strictly, he didn’t want to, either. it didn’t mean that it didn’t twist his gut, though. ]

Like frozen milk. Creamy. [ if he could try and explain it to past him, anyway. ] I’ve got some you can mix.

Uh... I guess I should probably preface this with saying I've only ever eaten like, three things total in my entire existence? I have no idea what "milk" or "creamy" is.

[But also it's mixed? This gets weirder and weirder, and she definitely looks a little bit unsure about this whole ice cream thing.]

[ oh— then change of plans!!!! eren goes over to open the box he had left on the kitchen counter, enchanted to stay cool in there for up to 12 hours. it just says “wisk”, and with everything already in a bowl, he just has to . . . mm, he’s getting two forks, beating the creamy liquid in the bowl rapidly. ]

You’ll find out. [ he supposes it’s fair, considering she’s a gem, but— ] You don’t have to eat anything?

[mirrortide]

[She watches him curiously! But cautiously. Mostly because she has no idea what it is he's doing here.]

No, I don't. I can if I want to, but I just... Don't, normally.

[usurpers]

[ mm he says, or grunts, most, if not all of his attention and energy going into whisking the contents in the bowl (it’s a little noisy as well, clickclickclickclickclick that doesn’t seem to let down.

it’s hard to cramp up when you’re in prime shape. soon enough, the cream’s gone thick, checking suck with a spoon that scoops and sticks to the curve even when flipped upright. for you, my lady. it’s vanilla. ]

[It's fine. Lapis will just watch. And watch. And... watch more.

Until a few uncomfortable seconds pass with the spoon being held out to her that she finally speaks.]

Oh. I... I'm not really interested.

[usurpers]

[ that's!!! that's okay!!! especially with her lack of necessity to actually eat— eren doesn't push further after that either, but does allow himself to indulge in the one spoon he'll take before placing the bowl back into the freezer box. ]

More for Steven. [ or . . . ] Unless he tries to feed you instead.

[At least with that she does relax a bit, shoulders sagging just slightly.]

I don't think he would. He's pretty great about not pushing things onto other people.

[He's a good human! One of Lapis' favorites, absolutely.]

Does he like it, though?

[ he didn’t even think of it in that way, only that the child would try, but! a good kid— and he’s actually glad to hear that. ]

Yeah, a lot. [ in fact, ] You see less people who don’t like it than do.

[mirrortide]

I mean, it's not like I dislike it either. I haven't tried it? I just don't feel like eating, that's all. [Pause.] What makes people like it so much anyway?

[usurpers]

The taste, and texture. It’s lightweight, melts in your mouth— it’s cold, too.

[ refreshing, he’d think! ]

Weird.

[Thats it. That's her Entire Opinion. And now she's just standing there, awkwardly, watching him.]

[ at least he’s got some things to do, so he’s only having this one scoop of ice cream, before . . . walking off.
